  • Draw a CURVED Ramp in Sketchup Quickly and Cleanly - no muss, no fuss!
Using this technique DOES distort the circle into an ellipse, but it's a quick, simple eyewash approach plus you'll get a good idea of how to create simple and not-so-simple organic shapes.
Please LIKE and SUBSCRIBE to my channel. I need everyone's help to play all 21 of my videos 100%. Don't need to actually watch if you don't want to, just play them using the PLAY ALL button. Hi ! Why do yout not use Fredo6 Push Pull Vertical for the thickness of the ramp ?

Certainly could I guess. To be honest I just really never thought about it. My only possible reason is that I'm thinking his extension wasn't capable of that at the time?

I can't stay on the blue axis while moving the edge.. what should I type/click?

    • @Krupster_architect

Tap the UP arrow key to stay on the blue axis, right arrow for red, left arrow for green. DOWN arrow for parallel or perpendicular to.

What am I missing. My entire ramp moves up. Yours stays anchored. Did I miss a move or command?

Got it!! When I only have one curb or arc that works, but when I have a pathway that consists of multiple arcs it doesn't work the same way, only part of it slopes up. Is that just how it is or do you know of a way to make it work?

Convert the curves into a single entity (poly line) using the Weld extension first.

why it was so hard? i am suing sketch up pro 2019

Ain't hard..... watch some Utube vids, watch my vids at Krupp Associates Architects and make everything you draw either a group or a component so the integrity of the model is maintained. I also have a substantial book on SU for 19.95 as a pdf file that should be helpful.

Why is WHAT so hard? Please clarify your statement. Maybe I can help.
