Like your attitude and approach with the 'old car', especially the MG, as they are so easy to work on (as I'm sure are many older US types of a similar vintage as well).
Anytime I talk to people that have MGs it brings back fond memories. Today's sports cars are too complex and too expensive. The closest thing to an old MG is the Miyata. It's all about having fun. Somehow modern cars have become nothing more than A to B appliances. Well done video!
Watching from the UK. The main reason B's do not get high prices here ( UK ) is because there are so many are still on the road there is not the "rarity " attraction. Now an MGA will be worth so much more and looks so much sexier. Loved that you kept the old girl going.
Thank you!! I’m so happy I stumbled upon it. Much simpler and less pressure to perform with an MGB vs a Miata on a backroad. The MGB videos will return in the spring, I’ve got some late ‘80s BMWs that need some love!
Did you say you wanted to drive it across a ‘proper’ country not a state sized UK country. No offence taken but we are a proper country over here just a little small that’s all. Glad you are enjoying our MGB they are great. They are especially good for our little narrow twisty roads. If you are enjoying the B get a chrome bumper 1275 Midget. They drive great, you will like it for sure.
Just teasing! I just live in upstate new York so a lot easier than going through water. There’s lots of windy, mountain roads around here that the MGB is perfect for! I barely fit in the B so I’m not sure how well a Midget will work!

Thanks! The less wires the better! Once I actually learn to tune a carburetor life will be a lot easier!

Thanks! Old and slow is better than new.

@@blackvulcan100 MGA over here US are very expensive. They seem to get the rarity attraction when driven or parked though!
@@AlmostFastRacing Great point, MGA parts are Super expensive or not available.
Nice story. The MGB is an affordable alternative to a Miata. Maybe Miata isn't always the answer...Keep those videos coming!

I have a 76 MGB. Most of the time I have had it it's not been running. I am looking forward to getting it going this spring. Good luck with yours.
I’m sad that by the time I got mine ready there’s snow on the ground

@ I’m 6’ 1” and fit OK in my Midget. There is a bit more space in my BGT though. 👍
I was distracted the entire time bc you never mentioned needing to fix the mirrors but theyre sideways in every shot 😢
That’s because I don’t look back! (I should fix them)
