Muslims (Ottomans) saved some 270,000 Jews from certain death in the hands of the Spanish Christians in the year 1492. Ottoman Turks sent their navy to save them and allowed them full citizenship anywhere within their empire. Except in Jerusalem, where, to prevent religious conflicts, the numbers of the people belonging to the three religions were confined to families to take care of their respective religious shrines.

The corrupt israelites were "punished" many times by God, simply because they became corrupted in every sense of the word, they turned their back on their prophets, and went against God's law.
So now we are witnessing another "corrupt" israelites in the form of Zionist. 😊

Perfect example of islamic jew hate in this comment. Qoran is not antisemitic but jews are bad cause the qoran says so. Vile dumb islamonazi mentality.
All people are disobedient because all people do good and bad. The difference between Jews and your kind, you ra.pe, beheadings, murderer, thievs, the muslim world is a collection of disobedience starting with warlord mohamad. So you ahmed should look in the mirror to see a sinner. Muslims claiming to be holy is one pile of garbage propaganda. Islam is jew hate. When I look at the muslim world I see complete disobedience to Gd and human life. Muslims should look in the mirror instead of talking garbage about the jews. That's why jews never accepted islam because its garbage compared to Judaism and qoran is a toilet paper compared to the Torah.
There is only one Gd given holly book and its called the Torah. That's why Muslims hate the jews, because only Jews received a revelation from Gd.

This is a good question that there is common misunderstanding about. The word “Semitic” refers to a branch of language, and not race or ethnicity. The term was coined specially to refer to racism towards Jews, to give it a more “scientific sounding” name. So while Arabs and Jews are distantly related, Semitic and antisemitic specifically refer to Jews.

The Quran doesn’t give a broad brush over Jews or Christians and doesn’t single them out without contextualising exceptions. It affirms good tidings to those who are pious, faithful, monotheistic, and worshipful. It protects the priests, the monks, their places of worship even in times of war. And you can’t be a Muslim without believing in the books before, essentially a Muslim isn’t a Muslim if he doesn’t believe in Christianity and Judaism.

When the Jews of Madinah found themselves out manoeuvred and their political position weaker because of the ascendancy of the Prophet and the Muslim community in that city they rebelled. Each of the 3 major Jewish tribes did so in succession without pretext, the last one committing treason by reneging on the pact/treaty/constitution of Madinah which they had signed voluntarily. The religious status of the Prophet was not the key factor in play, unlike the way it is painted according to Rabbi Firestone.

As a Muslim I would like to thank Prof. Reuven Firetone for the good lucture, but I would like to attract his attention to the 2 Hadiths he showed at 46:00. These 2 Hadiths talk about signs of the nearing of the day of judjment, which means after the return of Jessus, when the Israilets, and christians accept him and leave the changed scriptures in their hands and follow him. Those who remain and insist to disbelieve the Quran, the Injile, and the 2 prophets Jessus and Muhammed will not be considared people of the book afterwods. they will be considared the enemies of God and will be faught against.
In no mean does these 2 Hadiths refer to the jews of the prophets time, nore the Jews of noadays. I belive that we all agree that when Jessus come back and people see the proofs he presents and accept him, all the others should be considared disbelievers. They are called Jews in the two Hadiths because they akeep deferentiating themselves by calling themselves Jews rather than Musims, stick to their own relegion, and refuse the 2 messengers Jessus and Muhammed. In the Taurat any people refusing a prophet who has authority are punnished harshly.
The two hadiths do not mention christians, probably it is a sign that the christians will all believe when Jessus returns, or they will becom extinct befor that day. The hadiths also send an indication that human beings will have the means of making rocks send signals about people close to or hiding behind them, or perhaps will have a device which can see through rocks, by which they will be able to see the jews hiding behind the rocks. Again I remind you the term Jews in the 2 hadiths refer to those who will deny Jessus when he comes back.

It is evident in western theological academia a generalisation of apocalyptic prophecy generalisation by over association of Christian and Moslem prospectives regarding this phenomena.
Although the statement of the following is near linguistically identical “ The difference between me and the hour is like these my two fingers while the announcer raises both index and middle fingers raised together’ is attributed to both Jesus and prophet Mohammad, one in the New Testament and another in the Hadith. Also the verse in the new testaments of Jesus telling his disciples that Gods kingdom is coming in this your generation’. And Mohammad rushing to prayer of solar eclipse fearing that the hour had arrived ( Kingdom come ), whereby some further considerations should be also brought to view. When we want to consider that Jesus isn’t erroneous we can value that Jesus said it in Aramaic the translation transfer of odium could have dis-included the objective meaning and dropped the need for the word “even”. In other words the Greek script should have been the following “ Kingdom will come even for this your generation. As for the Hadith that recounts that Mohammad rushed to have the solar eclipse prayer fearing that the hour had arrived ( kingdom come ) it isn’t part of the Moslem official Canon, not being multi source attested and of identical text ( Mutawatir). Despite that another Hadith of higher authentication called ‘when is the hour’ stating that Jibreel descended close to Mohammad, and Mohammad asked him when is the hour? Jibreel answered: the inquired ( Jibreel ) isn’t more knowledgeable on it than the inquirer ( Mohammad ). Also the Ayas Chapter Nazi’at 43, and 44: * they ask you when is the hour when will it anchor ( happen ) * in what are you from its knowledge (?)* ( you not having its knowledge ). Also that the concept of ions is brought in the Qur’an in Aya Alnaba’e 23: *staying in it for ions*, also many Ayas in the whole Qur’an which states *….eternalised in it forever*, both Ayas having equivalent meaning, should clarify to us the misconception of equating both concepts of inevitable and imminent apocalypse.

But if they repent and establish the prayer and give the zakah then leave their way. Indeed, Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Well ... This is fairly convincing but, objectively, Islam is not really as focused on the Quran as they like to claim. Sunni jurisprudence (but also twelver Shia) is based so much more on the hadith. And then there's the simple fact that the religion is so deeply entangled in a medieval empire based on conquest and subjugation - a civilization that is now both collapsed and stuck in it's own past - that the antisemitism is "baked in" to Islam. I dare say, much more so than Christianity (and I have no particular love for Christianity either.)
I have tried to reason my way out of this conclusion for a couple years feeling it must be unfair. But there's always another Hadith or another Islamic scholar who pops up and, once again, has written something antisemitic.
I have only found little corners of hope in the Islamic world - the modern Ibadis are surprisingly known for interfaith and inter-ethnic tolerance. The Nizari isnailis have departed from orthodoxy in the past couple centuries because their imamism tradition allows for heavy abrogation of past religious law. And the Ahmadiyya sect embraces a message of universal love and tolerance. But these are small sects - marginal.
I wish I could be more positive.

    BISMILLAHIRRAHMANIRRAHIM
I very much appreciate what you are doing and I am pleased.
    Thank you.
However the real problem that is causing the antisemitism is that the Muslims don't realise that we are living in a polytheists ' world and we are living in polytheism.
    Let me explain !
    CONSTITUTION IS A RELIGION.
    ----------------------------------------------------- Constitution is a Religion.
    ---------------------------------------------
Always written by a forefather or ( s ) of a Nation. Or mainly copied by a father of a Nation from an existing and available another Nation. Which always excludes God and His Words and His Revelations. It is SECULAR written laws but not necessarily deny the existence of God. In fact the practice of the prayer and those practice of worship that are related to prayer in a place of worship are allowed but not the laws of legal matters pertaining to acts of Economics and relationship and inheritance and marriage and military.
So it is a way of life and thus it is a Religion.
    ----------------------------------------------------------
Especially the Islamic Revelations that deal with the above issues are much different to many Western Constitutions which have influenced the Muslim World. They contradict each other. So then there arise the question of which to choose. It is a war between faith × hypocrisy and polytheism.
The Glorious Qur'an calls it "SHIRK " : THE PARTNERSHIP TO GOD. and the people practice it are " MUSHRIKS " or " MUSHRIKOON " . : They are ASSOCIATORS TO GOD ; PARTNER GODS ; IDOLATORS.
    Such is the example !
In the name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful :
    Romans , Chapter 30 , Revealed at Macca by the Holy Spirit ( Angel Gabriel ) to the Prophet Muhammed a.s peace be upon him, in the early 7th century ;
    30. So set thy purpose ( O Muhammad a.s.) for Religion as a man by nature upright - the nature framed of Allah, in which HE hath Created man . There is no altering the laws of Allah 's creation. That is the right Religion. But most men know not -
    31. Turning unto HIM only ; and be careful of your duty unto HIM , and establish worship, and be not of those who ascribe partners unto HIM ;
    32. Of those who split up their Religion and became schismatics , each sect exalting in its tenets .
    The Glorious Qur'an
    Secularism is the split up
    And
The Political Parties are the sects
    And
Results in democratic elections are a win for their tenets .
WE ARE LIVING IN POLYTHEISM AND IN A POLYTHEISTS ' WORLD .
    MUSLIMS ARE UNAWARE OF THIS.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
    And unfortunately they are antisemitic.
That is the real problem causing antisemitism.

I don't believe belligerence towards individuals Jews has any legal basis in Islam. The Qur'an allowes marriage to Jews and the Qur’an says Allah has put love among a married couple. Prophets Muhammad's anger and reaction to his other wives when they called Safiya a "daughter of a Jew" in jest tells a lot. Even ridicule of a Jew on the basis of race is not sanctioned. One must also be cognizant of the "generalist" references in Quran and hadith. When it says "Yahudi" it doesn't necessary mean ethnic Jew but possibly adherents of Judaism. When it says "they say Uzair is son of God", I don't believe it's a blanket reference to all Judaists. See also how the Quran juxtaposes "Yahudiyan" and "Nasraniyan" (Christian) in reference to Abraham, saying he was neither. These are possible issues the professor should explore and possibly guide on improved rendition of words arising from mistranslations. I would be pleased if he takes the matter up with Darul Salaam publishers of hadith in English.

Moses was taken after death by God to heaven. God gave us one way of life, not a religion called Islam. At the transfiguration, God spoke of the superiority of Jesus, to whom the Law (Moses) and the Prophets (Elijah) were pointing to. Note that.... The Jews as well as the Christians ARE also Muslims by Quranic definition and thus Jews as well as Christians should be able to marry Muslims women . Remember that a Muslim is one who believes in the absolute oneness of God and the belief in the day of judgment and does good things ( the 10 commandments).
Islamic Figh is what is bad ever sine the mid 8th century and needs to be re written. So many false human opinions of what's in thee Quran

You are wrong it is not permitted (haram) for a Muslim women to marry anyone but a Muslim man (however if she does it is just a sin) as a Muslim man it is haram to marry anyone outside of the children of the book (Christian, Jewish, Muslim)

any conversation with any topics , just he wants to be professor for nothing , he said no revelation after bible canonization , who put this great principal ? you ? who are you to judge the revelation of God ? and who told you that Bahia's are true religion which were invented by British colonization , and who told you that Abraham was Jewish ? AlHamdulellah Muhammed peace be upon him showed us the truth , there is no true religion except Islam the religion of God , and the religion of Ibrahim and his sons , jews invented judaism , christians invented christianity , these are false religions taken from islam , there is NO true religion except islam , the people of the book who were mentioned in Holy Quran are the muslims who reverted from false religions ( judaism and christianity ) , Allah told the prophet to ask them about the stories of revelation of Quran if they are as they knew them or not cause he first time to know about these stories so your doubt gone , and know that you are messenger from Allah , YOU professor unfortunately BIG LIAR . sorry for that , but this is my opinion .

How Muslims react to Baha'i is not comparable with Jews to Islam.
1: Muhammad s.a.w spoke his people language to bring revelation for his people. It is fundamental principle because his message must be understood by his people. Every messenger spoke his people language.
    2. Muhammad s.a.w spoke to Jews and Christians because he only conveyed what Allah will speak to them. Muhammad s.a.w did not know who dzul qarnain, ashabul kahf (seven sleepers), Gog and Magog are. Jews knew them better. Jews have intimate relation with them instead of Arab. We know there were many Jews live in Arabia [around Mecca and Yathrib) and spoke Arab.
    3. The new prophet after Muhammad s.a.w will oppose the Qur'an itself, but we can not prove the coming of Muhammad s.a.w oppose the previous books. Qur'an says the previous books even mention the coming of last prophet.
So, what Baha and Ahmadi spoke? Did their people know them well as truthful men?
