There's two ways to look at this. You can either look at it as a modified $30k work truck beat a $100k+ performance suv, or a stock jeep paced a modified F150. Either way, both sides have a point.

The 10 speed wouldn't even really help the track hawk it doesn't need steep gearing with its power curve it won't benefit from it the same way the 5.0 does. The f150 is alot lighter and it has more power it's pretty obvious the outcome. A 10 speed in the th isn't gonna change much.
I don’t know how many stock Trackhawks will be running around for this thing to run across, but I feel a Track hawk with a normal Bolt on’s based on that last race would have a different outcome. Hell a pulley and a tune! I do like the F150 and I’ll that mine in black!!

Put the truck on e85 and another pulley and there's lots left in it for the 5.0 as well. With turbos midnight has been 8.90s @150+ mph 🤷♂️
Just a little 5.0 and big old hemi struggles to beat it still with WAAAY more cubes. Trackhawk finally met its match😁good races you guys

Yeah Ford does sell basically the same truck with a warranty. They use a Roush SC or what they call a Ford Performance SC. One is rated at 705 and the other 700. You can get the entire package from town and country Ford for $47k. If you want it with 4wd it’s just the extra cost of the option. You could buy 2 of those for the price of a Trackhawk with a 3/36 warranty.

Taking the absolute lightest F150 vs a 5400lbs tank isn't really apples to apples BUT it does give a good baseline on what the F150 package is capable of. This race could also come down to driver error/ability as tbe 2nd race was considerably closer. Again, i think Hennessey's kit is far better sorted than Shelby, Roush, and other Ford tuners. None of them can beat bone stock Hellcat Mopar trucks. But that Jeep is impressive given that it is stock and loaded to the gills. Try this package on a Platinum Supercrew F150...

Khal srt raced a Durango hellcat w his Trackhawk and beat. By weight and statistics Trackhawk should win by a very small margin. Sometimes tho peoples hellcat engines come out the factory w more power lol so it’s possible to see a few fast Durango. Both good I personally went w the track hawk because it’s sexier in my eyes especially after a demon hood install.
@@rogueninja8582 I've seen a bit of back and forth on it and I agree with you. I do know that the record stock trackhawk run is 11.2 @ 120mph (negative DA but still the record).. to do I think I've seen a best of 11.4 @ 119 from the DDHC crowd. Personally I've only managed 11.5 @ 118 mph which seems to indicate they will be insanely close (as you said individual engine variance and driver will be deciding factor). 🍻🍻

In regular mode making about 500 crank it pulled away in track mode which is what mostly everyone uses I'll stay close behind in stock form

What's the weight difference. I think that was a good add for the Trackhawk.
I mean you can build your own f150 like that with about 50 grand total, truck and all. The trackhawk is over 100k.
Dude what used Trackhawks are you buying that are over 100k. There are no more new one and the used ones are around 80k also with the Hennessy package all of this is about the same price.

I still would take the trackhawk over the truck. Bone stock and the f150 with all of those mods still was close. A good tune and I bet that trackhawk would win.

@Willie McCraw they're the same vehicle for vehicle. The trackhawk is an in house modded suv and the Hennessey F150 is done by a separate company. The trackhawk will get whooped mod for mod every day of the week.

@@timothystockstill7668 engine size is not a factor with these vehicles. The ford had a lot of power and it’s modded. It barely won against a bone stock trackhawk in track mode. I love ford. I own a Mercury marauder. Don’t care to much for Chrysler but that trackhawk is a beast. It is quick and nothing in its class can beat it.

10 speed auto beats 8 Speed auto any day because with a 10 speed auto your first gear ratio can be taller and 3 overdrives to work with vs 2 with the 8 speed auto.

Nothings legal in CA except electric cars and Accords.
Now imagine this combo with a freon/compressor style Chiller under the Supercharger, also, i've devised a way to operate the Chiller without running a parasitic Compressor, so free HP!
(Superchargers and Turbo's (although not as much) take HP to make boost but Boost causes heat and im hoping everyone knows Heat kills HP, intercoolers are not that efficient, Chillers are best but all the Commercially available Chillers require them to be tapped into an AC Compressor, my method doesnt need to be turned by the engine, win win.

They're both awesome vehicles, but did anyone really think it'd be a different outcome? That would've been sad for the F150 if the Trackhawk won being much heavier and underpowered. Now put a 1000 pounds or so in the bed so the power to weight ratio is similar and let's see what happens.

Their version does. But you can buy a blown f150 for less than half the price of a trackhawk... but definitely not near as luxurious. Pretty sure Lebanon Ford has phenomenal prices

I had to laugh when said the track hawk needs 1000hp and in the end of the day put weights in the back of the truck to come close to weight of the track hawk that f150 would be going backwards.
Wrong it has 72 hp more and 35 more tq as well.
@@kevinmckinley7378 if you was to put the 1200 lbs in the bed to match the curb weight of the trackhawk the f150 would not catch the track hawk off the line and you paid attention to the 2nd attempt on race they was more closer to the finish.
@@KaL_EL69 that’s because of the launch control it has. The f150 doesn’t have that so it’s at a disadvantage but still stayed beside it and beat it regardless. Add that to the f150 and how do you think this would go? Plus the f150 is still down over 60+ cubic inches as well. The four door venom still beat the four door TRX by a good margin as well so that point is moot.
@@kevinmckinley7378 the launch control. Was never used if you really listen to the trackhawk take off you do not hear the high rpms if track launch was engaged.
