I hesitate to make such a personal comment on the interwebs, but this book still resonates with me even though I read it over forty years ago. The very last paragraph summarizes for me the sweet awfulness of adolescence, and I return to it from time to time. I’m very happy to see you continuing this series. I’ve been a subscriber of yours since before your… absence, and you continue to improve in your readings. I think in the beginning you were a bit more self-conscious. As you relaxed into yourself, you’ve been able to capture the flow of the text with the full power of your relaxing voice. Thank you so much for your content in general, and this series in particular!
Thanks for sharing. I feel similarly about the nature of the book. Really captures those feelings of growing up and connecting to them. I agree with you on the readings, I think at first I wasn't sure how ASMR should be read for this kind of thing.
