Ah! I now see the brand says Vast is not a tubing mascara BUT still comes off with warm water. I mention in the video that I might have to stand corrected. The hazards of getting a review up early. Sometimes hindsight corrects me. Info still applies but it’s not technically tubing.
Sure seems exactly like a tubing formula! I wonder why it's not one. I tried checking the website and didn't find anything saying it's not a tubing formula. Where did you find that?

You’re my go to RUclipsr! I appreciate all your videos and your honesty. Not to mention your sweet sense of humor. I think my daughter snatched my VB mascara(her first release) and I didn’t miss it if that tells you what I thought of the first release. The mascara I adore is from DHC. It’s the only thing I buy from that brand. It never smears, flakes, stays put and easily removed with a warm wash cloth.

Remember that there are Tubing mascaras and Washable mascaras. They both come off with just water. Tubing mascara comes off in little tubes. Washable mascaras come off as running ink (kind of like regular mascara) it’s just that it doesn’t need soap/cleanser. Washable mascaras use the description “wraps around each eyelash individually […] come off with water” and Tubing mascaras will say a similar thing “wraps around each eyelash individually […] comes off in tubes with water”. I’ve noticed this since I am a fan of tubing mascaras and have noticed that there is a washable type of mascara that does not come off in tubes.

Oh wow, this is so pretty! I love a dark fluttery lash, rather than the heavy/bold/voluminous look. This looks just up my street, might just have to order. Mascara is like concealer in my opinion, people are so picky as everyones lashes/under eyes are so different, but your detailed reviews help give us a really good starting point. Thank you!

I was so tempted by this - I love eyelash tubes. 😂 they work so well for me and well VB - queen of luxury for me. Will hold fire though as can't justify the spend at the moment.

Secondly… WOW as usual! First review I’ve seen of this mascara! The original VB Future Lash is a favorite so I’m dying to know about this one. (And I’m one of the lucky no clumps!)
Wet mascaras are not my favorite, but sometimes as they dry out over time they become favorites. I’ll be so interested to see how this one develops over time.

Oh my goodness, Lisa, that’s so kind of you. I couldn’t do a thing with my hair today, as an expression goes so I appreciate your kindness. I am not finding anyone else who had the future lash clump on them and I’ve had three tubes clump. So weird. Yes, sometimes, those wet Mascaras aerate a bit and become just a little bit thicker and it works. We will see how this one develops. Please report back on what you think of the Tarte.
Same here on first mascara she has out. I don't remember having clumping with the 1st i bought but 2nd time around it did. I used to love using all the time too.

Thank you for explaining the difference between a tubing vs non tubing mascara! I use VB future lash and always wondered why it came off that way. I love it but I’m glad there is another one that i can try too 😄

I'm super excited to try this. I hope it comes quickly. I love her first one for day looks. I have been getting great results from the KVD. Tubing is my jam. I think this was a smart release for VBB. This is beautiful on you. I'll take sweat/humidity proof any day of the week. I love her original because it lasts, but tightlining is necessary most days. Her formula and KVD leave lashes soft to the touch. Most tubing mascaras are stiff, but, they are my go-to for easy removal and no racoon eyes from my skincare. ❤❤❤

My top 3 tubing mascaras are: hourglass, clinique lash power in brown and a chanel one I forget the name of but was online only. This looks gorgeous and could easily beat the top spot. Might give it a go next time I need one.

Suzie! Try tubing especially on the lower lashes if that is what creates the raccoon eyes.
@NotFitforPrintBeauty I just got this mascara along with her lip tint in the mail yesterday. I noticed her makeup has a shorter use by date. Says 6 months. Do you generally stick by those rules or use it longer? I don't wear eye makeup everyday since I work from home so I feel like 6 months is so short 😭
Way back in the day I used the Blinc tubing mascara and it was the best. When they reformulated and brought back, I hated it (all versions). My holy grail mascara that I have been using since it came out is Lancome Hypnose Drama Waterproof. I have tried the Tarte, Thrive etc and none of them give me the drama or hold the curl
and they wear off my lashes.

My future lash doesn't do major clumping. Just minor bits. I was in love with it, now i find it "polite" 😂. I wear it to work. I need something mid level, I think this may work! But I also need one for drama for evening looks, doesn't have to be tubing, would you recommend the benefit one? My priority is not looking twiggy or spider legs! Feathers and volume!

Hello! So happy that you found the channel and I’m thrilled to have you here. We have such a lovely contingent of Australian viewers on this channel. I had a great laugh this morning calling the original Victoria Beckham Mascara polite. What a perfect word for it. A little more drama for evening to be found in a few different ones. Probably, yes, the fan fest. It would be perfect. If you have to stay with tubing For easy removal, the Tarte tubing is much more dramatic. Non-tubing, fan fest, yes, and believe it or not, the Huda one coat wow but it’s heavy and thick. Might be too much. And there’s always good old Pat McGrath dark star that is another dramatic one but I think, from what you described, you would be happiest with benefit fan fest.
I am enjoying the vast lash so far. Definitely stays on longer than most with no running underneath
No raccoon eyes!
Major is a typically British thing that VB used to use a lot.

Hi Rebecca! I have the Tartelette tubing mascara and it’s great but it doesn’t come off with warm water on me. It comes off really easily with eye makeup remover or just a microfibre cloth though. The other one I like which gives a bit of volume and does come off with warm water is the Kevyn Aucoin volume one in the red tube. That’s probably my favourite so far, but I’m definitely going to try this one when that runs out xxx

@NotFitforPrintBeauty I do not get on with the KA packaging at all - it got so messy! But I loved the formula
I haven't had a problem with future lash clumping....but for the money...I use the tarte mascara. Less expensive and does just as good a job. I did order the new VBB mascara...so we will see. I do love her stuff....but some of it can be replaced with a cheaper version.
I also noticed with Future Lash...there is a sweet spot, about 1 1/2 weeks into a new tube ....and then it fade after about 3 weeks. Too expensive for that to happen.
I think you’re right about the future Lash and I think that’s really precisely, as you note on timing, when mine started to clump

Yep, it's very clumpy on me too. But if I wipe off the brush it does give pretty volume and fluttery lashes. It doesn't give length though. I like the hourglass unlocked better.

This looks nice :) I am so all set with mascara though (as you know 😂), because I love tower 28, Essence Lash Princess, and now the Westman A (Ugh!) I have always wanted to try the Thrive as the brown color they have has always been something I’ve wanted, and especially in a tubing formula. I used the Tarte one and never really replaced it 😂 It doesn’t do enough for me and then I found the Tower 28
The Thrive brown is a pretty color. They have a non tubing option now also in brown. It’s not difficult to remove.
That WA is going to put us all out of house and home soon, I feel. Haha.

Now with help of Revitalash Sensitive i have lashes again, and the only product i dare to use at the moment is the Chantecaille mascara, expensive, yes, but so thankful that i have lashes, well, well lashes that are ok, again! But i think when not having issues with your lashes, i would really choose this one, Victoria Beckham has mostly good products, not that i liked her previous mascara, i did not. Oh I completely understand, Annemarie! Makes complete sense. With what you have been through with your lashes, the Chantecaille Mascara works and there’s no reason change.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty the Chantecaille gives such a beautiful effect and, true, i cannot handle the famous Lancome oil bases remover, i have now the one from Clarins, besides the one from Clinique. It's more work and takes patience for not to loose lashes, but i do not use makeup everyday, so, it's ok, and no change, no, that's right!

Wow-this mascara wasn’t on my radar until the sale this weekend- but this looks lush and lovely- I just purchased the Hourglass tubing mascara over the Sephora sale and do like that one but I love the look of this one on your eyes! Now that it’s been a few months..since you reviewed this, what are your final thoughts?
I like the second mascara much better than her first. For me, as you know, her first one clumped but I haven’t found anyone else that happened to. So I like this one a lot better. It is apparently not a tubing mascara. I was totally in error but it is one that washes off easily with soap and water. It’s kind of like a midpoint between a tubing and a regular mascara. I like it very much but I do prefer the tartlet tubing
Did you see a new Satin Kajal liner in Cinnamon? I got a Shop App invitation to buy the new VB mascara. Clicked on the link, put the mascara in my cart and then went to add a satin Kajal in Smoky Quartz as mine has almost finished. I then noticed a new shade Cinnamon in the drop down. So I ordered it too but no idea what it is as there were no swatches. Looks like a metallic brown but could be mistaken

I think one coat just means one layer, as thick as you want. I think the point is you dont wait for it to dry and add more.
I loooove tubing mascara. What do you think about comparing the Vast Lash mascara to the Thrive Causementics mascara? Thrive was my favorite until I tried this.
I like to use a separate brush to help with clumping on my lashes, but that happens with all my voluminous tubing formulas. I haven't had clumping issues (in the bottle or on my lashes) with her OG mascara. I wonder why it keeps happening with yours.
It is SO strange about the VBB first mascara. It clumps no matter new or old. So strange. I think this is a BIT more dramatic than Thrive. But I love Thrive too! My Cinnamon Kajal Liner video from VBB is tomorrow!
Hmm. I still prefer the Tarte Tubing mascara - the volume, length, and non-clumping make it a favorite. I like others (as I’ve mentioned in the last tubing mascara review you did). I think I’m going to pass on this one. I can get more for less $$$ with the Tartlette!

So when you say, “washes off with soap and water” are you using just a regular face cleanser or facial oil as opposed to also using an eye makeup remover?
Im a mascara junkie and often use multiple mascaras at once since one mascara might not give me everything I want in a mascara. I want it all…length, volume, deep pigment, separation, long-wear, no flaking, and easy removal 😂
While I love the Tarte mascara, I haven’t noticed it coming off in tubes. Just recently i purchased the Benefit fan blast AND love that one!! It is almost too long wearing because even after washing it off, i will still have mascara on/under my eyes the next day. I finally received my PML order yesterday with the Dark Star mascara, so i’m excited to try. During the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, i picked up the lash clash duo they had and I can’t say I love that one. I tend to like a wet mascara and that one seems very dry upon opening and doesn’t build up as I had hoped. When I ordered my ND palette, I added the Huda mascara to try, so can’t wait for that to arrive!! Right now my all time favorite mascaras include Lancôme Hypnose, Tarte (two favorites Lights Camera Flashes and the tubing one), Benefit Fan Blast, and PML Fetish(although it can flake sometimes), so this one certainly intrigued me!!!

Tracie! You are the very person who influenced me to try to combine mascaras. I love it. I am really interested to hear what you think of the Pat McGrath dark star. I feel like you will love it. But I don’t know what you will think about Huda as it is a little bit heavy and messy to take off. So I await your review here in comments. So it turns out this Victoria Beckham Mascara is not tubing but is what they call basically a wash off mascara and it does indeed come off with regular old warm soap and water. I do not have to use bifacil. Generally, however, since I am taking off a ton of other make up, I will indeed start with an oil base remover but I don’t have to double cleanse the eyes. If that makes sense?
Rebecca, a tip I heard to break down your mascara, is to add some Aloe Vera gel. It's worth a try instead of throwing out. I have yet to see the words 'tubing mascara' on any that I own. Is this normally listed? Even in the description of a mascara, I still have never seen it mentioned. To be honest, I never knew there was such a difference between mascara. If everyone went back to applying mascara in the way that we used to, by adding it to the tops of the lashes first and curling with the brush, we wouldn't need eye-lash curlers and all these different types of mascara for something that should be such a simple item to add to getting ready each day.🇦🇺💖👩🏼🎨

@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Maybe not so much in my family, but some of the tricks of the trade are just as relevant today to use. I've never used an eeye-lash curler in my life nor worn false lashes. If you know how to apply a product in a way that works, why should we change? MUA's still use lipstick on the cheek, eye-shadow pigment on the lip or even nails! All you need is a gloss over the lips and a clear coat over the nails. I love experimenting with all the many ways to use product and it saves us from buying so much that we don't need either. Well, maybe not for me! Using lipstick as blush looks lovely, as it ties the look together. I'll even use a Dior Quint as blush and highlighter too. The options are endless, yet not many have the confidence to try something different. You know I'm not pointing at you, as you do play around with product placement. Cheri Voyage is a wealth of information about using a singular product over the face, just like the Chanel Baume Essentials or the Chantecaille Sunbeam Cheek and Eye Palette.💖

Tubing formulas are the worst if you wear eyeliner and shadow. Water doesn’t remove my eyeliner and makeup remover makes a ginormous tangled mess of tubing mascara

Im considering trying it, just because I’m a makeup junkie.
I used the future lash since it came out until recently. Only because it didn’t flake, I can’t stand flaky mascaras, but I wasn’t satisfied with anything else. Mind you, I’ve incredible lashes and it really wasn’t giving. Then I discovered Dark Star mascara from Pat McGrath. It’s literally the perfect mascara for my lashes. It doesn’t flake and it makes them big and voluminous.
Oh DARK STAR is one of my favorite mascaras of ALL TIME.
I was so tempted by this - I love eyelash tubes. 😂 they work so well for me and well VB - queen of luxury for me. Will hold fire though as can't justify the spend at the moment.
Not limited edition. So there’s plenty of time.
