ps4 peter looks better
@@TheBatman1010 it's still 1080p but ok

One of the biggest difference is actually lighting

Honestly it’s growing on me, I just don’t like his hair
@@erickabundis7952 I'm sorry, but I'm interested to know, what does Peter looks like? Because we have literally dozens of different designs for him from different artist in official comic books. Also, different actors playing him.
The color grading is so different. The lighting decisions are better on the PS4 sometimes, like the elevator vertical crawl.
The colors come through stronger with the PS4 lighting in almost every scene.
@@scott4398 thats because in the original version, in these scenes, the world light (the "sun") is a strong white light while in the remastered they added a new daytime where the world light is a soft orange. Thats why the colours pop out more in the sp4 in this comparison
That's because you are looking at this through RUclips compression and not the native HDR.
Was thinkign the same thing, another comment said that there is time of day difference. mission was played at a diff time thats why

Well to bad cuz he ain’t coming back
@@JasonJason-lz2zm any idea of why they changed the previous model actor, its strange because everybody seems the same except our protagonist
I'm kinda in the same boat. I think the new model actor's face looks great overall, but that the old model actor just fit better. To me, Peter looked more worn down from years of fighting crime. To me, the stress of that life would definitely make you more haggard looking. Overall, I still like the new face. I just prefer the old one more. Oh well.
You need to compare the game when it’s the same time of day. Since they added a new time of day, you cannot accurately judge these
There is still a new level of detail that you can see clearly...
Are you blind? You can clearly see the improvements even with different time of day.
I was saying the same thing!
you can though, the detail in the ps5 version and how objects react to light is so much better
Is that why it looked like they mixed up ps4/ps5 gameplay? I was like sometimes it looks better on ps4 and sometimes ps5

@Jack M how is he "objectively better", it's a subjective topic. The new one makes him look like an absolute baby, he looks 14, he is supposed to be an old mature version of spiderman. Now he looks younger than Miles. I don't care if he is more pretty or technically superior, the new one makes him look way too young than he actually is, the old one in my opinion just looks like a great fit for this older Peter.
@Jack M but who knows it might just grow on me later.
Stop crying, it just a face

Ray-Tracing really is a "game-changer".
Nice pfp👍🏾
Yeah, it makes the game feel like crap due to 30fps and introduces few more puddle reflections.
For me the 60fps mode is the easy choice. 30fps simply doesn't feel anywhere near as pleasant and the animation quality goes down due to the low frame rate. I'm not going to stare at random puddles and windows, but I will be constantly playing the game and how it feels and flows in 60fps is just so much better.
@Sidney J. Duffy Yeah, and it was playable but not very pleasant. That's why the 60fps mode on PS5 is an actual game changer.
@@MegaPieru3000 yeah, your right. I would also go for the 60fps 👍🏽
@Sidney J. Duffy actually? i never even noticed
whats important to note is actual lighting doesn't mean better. Sometimes artificially creating shadows and light actually looks better

That part looks insane
The reflective tiles is what did it for me
Never played the PS4 edition, because I don't have a PS4... but just watching the side by side, it is so clear this new model does not fit the voice depth and the age.
It was clearly a producer decision not an artistic one.
The first thing I notice about the remastered is that spider mans eye lenses are more detailed.
I actually somewhat prefer the original. The fidelity version almost seems like a film student got his/her hand on the project and gave most scenes a flare or lighting touch up. The original looked like raw film footage (which is often sought after by professionals more than color grading)
These two games Miles Morales and The Remaster at the main reasons I'm dying to get the PS5 both look amazing and for sure there are more games I'm looking forward to on the PS5
Ha. They are just getting started my friend...
I never Regret Buying PlayStation stuff. Sure Xbox is "Stronger" but the OG is PS Series. Better Controller Better Games Exclusives

I like both systems but after I went with Xbox One first over the PS4 and missed out on a crap ton of amazing games I'm not doing that again lol but again I like both

How many of you feel ps4 version looks better than remastered version sometimes..😀
Ps4 version is better than remastered version bro
The games just don't look that much different, the game seems to be well optimized for ps4 pro in my opinion. And the key to all this is that game developers don't want to lose out on sales if they make the ps5 version so much better, the sales of ps4 pro spider man will reduce greatly. Being a PC gamer I always felt this, the fact that when PC games were released, they would always be released a year later than the console version and would never be that much different. All because game developers are not in business of making games for the select few high end PC owners as most money is made on the consoles. I always regretted having spent a lot of money on a high end PC simply because all the big titles just wouldn't be all that much better since their initial optimization for the consoles. I see graphics of the PS5 games increase in the future, but not at this time, not while the sales of PS4 games still matters.
Fidelity mode can stick it. Nothing - NOTHING - beats web-swinging at 60fps.

The newer one looks so real, like it is an actual film and not some kind of cgi or animation. It’s wild that this only came out 2 years ago.
Are we all ready and mature enough to admit that this really doesn’t look much different except for an Instagram filter? In fact some of the PS4 scenes just look downright better
And what were you expecting? They literally gave reflections to basically everything that should have a reflecttion and you don't think that's a big difference?
I don't know, there is definitely a noticeable difference between the two.
Try to watch this on a high end monitor or a 4k TV
It def looks way different. The main difference is the lighting. Notice how on the PS4 version in the afternoon no matter where Peter is in the city, the shaded spots look completely dark. There's no subtlety in the lighting.
@@AceofJays15 my point is if it takes someone having to explain that to me for me to notice it, the overall experience is going to be very much unchanged. I.e. this is my no means an obvious generational jump in graphics, it’s technical at best but I have hope we will see generational jumps in future
The only major difference visually is the different lighting like they changed time of day or something. And a couple of fancy reflections. Textures seem to be identical. Nothing earth shattering. The performance boost in 60fps is where the major difference lies, imho.
1:06 “look how they massacred my boy”
I think U mean look how they perfected my boy
@@JasonJason-lz2zm No they massacred him 😔
@@JasonJason-lz2zm massacre. The emotions don't even match
@@JasonJason-lz2zm nah they ruined it
@@crashpal lmao look at 1:06 and tell me that the emotions don't match. the emotions are better
I love how insomniac took like 90% of the swinging animations from tasm 2 and they didn’t even bother putting the tasm 2 suit in the game
Insomniac developed a swing-physics engine on there own. So they took nothing from that shitty game ;)
@@donnyschilling2799 I think he was referring to the movie and not the game. At least the PS4 version is said to get the new suits alongside the PS5... I know it's not the sequel suit, but still.
Ps4 peter : toby mcguire Ps5 peter: andrew garfield
I just want to know whether they changed the puddles thing everyone was so upset about
I like the peter from PS4 and the Fisk scene in ps5 doesn’t really have like a fog
Actually, these all changes to lighting and colour were not needed, we were happy enough with ray tracing and improved textures, as well as the original face. Instead people should critisize sony for why they didnt provide native 4k 60 fps. All xbox exclusives, even though they are bad but have native 4k and 60 fps even on xbox one x. And seems like sony is being faithful to its users. Why do we see the 1728p upscaled 4k even on the newer console. They carried the same stuff through ps4 pro and now this.
Looks like a parallel universe where Peter is someone else 🤣
I would be interested in a comparison between the remaster and the backwards compatible gameplay (ps4 version played on the ps5)
peter's new face looks like a 12 year old kid's face, also whats up with the red and dead colors? it looks deader than pete's new face.
