He is the singer in one of the greatest groups in music history but still stays so humble. You just can't not to like this guy!
He's not just a singer....He does orchestrations, scores, etc so he definitely got his father's genes
Joseph William es un talento extraordinario.
Joseph Williams is my biggest influence for singing and technique. He is a legend! Saw him with TOTO in Scotland and it was the best night of my life.
darren brereton I saw in Scotland too, one my favourite gigs ever! His voice is flawless
I've loved his voice since the first time I heard him sing.
Mr. Joseph Williams👏👏👏👏👏💎💕💎💕💎💕💎💕💎
keep going joe youve took toto's popularity to a new level since you rejoined in 2010
Joe is very humble and respectful when talking about Bobby. Interesting, that he is taking lessons from a vocal-teacher to stay in shape. Probably this is very important, if a singer is on tour for weeks or months, because that's hard work for a voice, particularly in a band like Toto with many high passages.
Thank you JosephW for praising BobbyK. But the show must go on with you.
Bobby and Joseph are good friends, and when they sing together, they are the best vocalists I've ever witnessed when they sing songs as duets with Toto. They blend so well together on the songs each one of them recorded on Toto CDs, and I understand why they are good friends.
Alex Manott good to hear bobby and joe are good friends but i dont think that holds true for bobby and luke
Don't believe the media even Luke said that they are full of crap. There is no bad blood between them.
Joseph really respects Bobby.
Bobby Kimball remains one of the greatest lead vocalists to ever leave one of the highest bars for other vocalists to reach. Good luck trying people! I personally Place him right up there in the stratosphere with one Freddie Mercury and Steve Perry!!
Love you Joe you a terrific voice and range and are a great performer 🙏💎
Great interview, great job ........ that was a great time in 2013
👍👍
Joe has taken Toto to levels of popularity they hadn't seen since the 80's. When Africa became a meme and introduced the band to a whole new generation of fans, Joe was the singer. When Toto collaborated with What So Not (a popular DJ), Joe was the singer.
Josef sei meravigliosa mente
Eccellente
Voce meravigliosa
Solo tua unica assola
❤️❤️🙃🤡
As a Toto fan, hands down for both Bobby Kimball and Joseph Williams. Bobby will be 70 this year, but it's too bad his voice is not what it used to be. Joseph still got it though
I love the way he sounds when he sings "Hold the Line," but I don't care much for the song in general.
Oddly enough I've always preferred Joe's singing -however short spell he was with the band- over BK's, in fact the 7th one is the record I always find myself going back to.
Wat een geweldige vent! Als ze ooit nog een keer komen, koop ik sowieso een VIP kaart om een praatje te maken met deze kerel (en de rest natuurlijk).
Goede interview!
He smiles like his old man
Toto’s best singer.
That’s from the same year his father composed the score for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
he have the right voice for TOTO ...is like Van Halen Sammy H.,
Mooi interview, goed engels. Joseph begon zelf over Bobby wow. Leuk dat je hem kon spreken.
SecretYoungLink007 what does this mean in English?
michael jagger It means: ''Great interview, your English is really great. Joseph started about Bobby all by himself. Nice that you were able to speak with him.'' Cheers ;-)
SecretYoungLink007 I didn't know joe took lessons from bobby
michael jagger Don't think he did
michael jagger He didn't....nothing said about that either
A singer that's stood the test of time. Is Joe's voice classed as a low tenor or high baritone?
I'd say low tenor, though when Joe was younger, his voice was straight up tenor.
He was strictly a tenor back in the 80’s but he’s capable of singing baritone and mid-range parts now.
He is a tenor, but aging he went closer to barritone, but Williams voice is tenor range
Lol he didn't say he's taking lessons from Bobby!!! He doesn't.
Joe did use to do impressions of Bobby but Toto told him off for it.
Bobby is the best
Just my opinion, but I'll take Joe over Bobby any day. Also, love hearing he has a vocal coach and does daily exercises. That's humility and wisdom.
dude...Bobby's voice got effed up.
over the past year Bobby has improved and his new solo album was awesome i think he has found his range and has stopped trying to hit notes he could 20/30 years ago
Maybe you should ask him about his dealing drugs beginning of the 90's when he was heavily addicted to cocaine and was arrested nearby a house in Oxnard where police found 500.000 dollars worth of marijuana and he was in the possesion of cocaine !!! Wasn't Bobby Kimball also arrested beginning of the 80's for trying to sell cocaine to an undercover policeman. What a coincidence !
Maybe you should shut up. Is this the best you can do with your life?
I am so happy, that Joe found a healthy way of living and managed to treat his voice well. It means a lot to me hearing Toto live with an "original voice". Of course there are tunes originally sung by Bobby, but due to Bobby's age and dementia we don't have any chance for Bobby's voice on stage anymore.
It's a great luck having a new generation of Toto with Luke, Joseph and the extraordinary guys from Snarky Puppy / Ghost Note. Bob Searight's drumming on the live-recording 'With a little Help from my Friends' is excellent. ❤👍👌🔥
I bet you don't want to be like him now! Are you kidding me I don't think a fucking popsicle stick would want to be like him. Insult to injury he's still out there trying to sing the songs, man just ain't happening!!!
Joseph, "Could this be Love?".......brilliant.......Toto is the best.....favorite guitarists, Lukather, and Knofler, equals, but in different styles, as Knofler is a bit more of a storyteller......My father played his Les Paul, then went into the living room, at the piano, and played some honky-tonk.......both of my sons are musicians, first born, a percussionist, second, anything with strings, especially
his banjo......I am exceedingly blessed......you are nothing shy of genius......love you....
