I remember picking up "Enigmatic Calling" at a Samgoody store here in the states when I was much younger. I was flipping CDs over looking for anything under the "Inside Out" record label. I had just found out about another band: Ayreon a year or so earlier so I was on a tear for progressive music! Pagan's Mind blew me tf away! literal kid in a candy store back in the early 2000s

Thank you for reacting to Pagan's Mind! Makes me all nostalgic. I put together some music videos for a couple of their songs, years ago. Take a look if you wish, on my channel. :)

Jorn Viggo has probably the best tone in metal with his guitar.

Pagan's Mind is in my top 5 bands, as is Jorn Viggo Lofstad as a guitarist. "Enigmatic Mission" is my favorite song of all time.

I was a big fan of these guys in the 2000s. I first discovered them on MySpace believe it or not. Sabaton as well, actually. But yeah, Pagan's Mind always delivered some great Prog Metal. Nils K Rue is a pretty bad ass vocalist. He's got a Hellava range. But the musicians also rock. You got Jørn Viggo Lofstad on guitar who plays for several different bands, including Jørn Lande. Then on the massive 6-string bass, Steiner Krokmo. You can always tell he loves laying down the beat. Then Stian Kristoffersen on drums. Who is a very underrated drummer. And finally Ronny Tegnar on Keyboards. He kills it there too. But I always liked that their songs had a Sci-Fi theme to them. Especially the first four albums. They used the Stargate symbolism for crissake. Their 2nd album "Celestrial Entrance" could have been the soundtrack for Stargate SG-1 for all practical purposes.

Wow you throug me back to when Myspace was a thing, simpler yet "better" times". This guys deserve way more praise than what they get, and as you say on an individual level every musician here is extremely underrated and they deliver in loads with every single note, and yeah that Sci Fi vibe is very present and makes their music unique and amazing and you are right this is full on Stargate!!! Thanks for your comment
