I don't care how good the band is musically if the vocals aren't there then it doesn't work in this situation the vocals are totally there great job guys.. 👏👍

Thanks to All. ♥️🎶🎼🎸
Thanks so much. If I can speek for the band, if our performance gives someone a respite of distraction from these troubling times its worth more than any money we might earn. Music is joy generated to share with friends and those friends we have not yet met.
Great cover. SO MANY band can't approach Ben Orr's vocals, the synth and Eastons guitar work and most importantly the Cars had great backing vocals. You guys do. Well done.
My flashback to the 70's and early 80's are golden with this song blasting on my craig system in my 74 Ford Maverick..buddy's hangin with the good ole Mexican bag of weed full of stems and seeds and the Cars
WOOOOOOOO......... Dude you blew my mind with that comment. I LITERALLY had a 71 Maverick with a blasting Craig system.... only I had Jensen co-axials..... but basically the same, except your car was a little newer than mine. lol.... I'm guessing a 301 motor. Right?
@@billrichards8484 Been so long ago i don't remember the size of the engine..just know it was a 6 cyl..Wish i had one of those Maverkis today..They make nice hot-rods and even back then i put the wide tires with the Craiger Mag wheels and air shocks on it..Looked way meaner than it really was as it was just a 6 cylinder..They made a sportier model called a Maverick Grabber that had a V-8..My Craig player was the one that mounted to the floor and tilted back..Back then it really blasted the power and if you had Jenson speakers you had a pretty nice sounding system no doubt..
@@milmil6594 Those were the days, right? Mine may have been the Grabber you mentioned. I think I typed 301, but my motor was actually a V-8 302. I had wide tires as well and I could floor it and it would absolutely burn rubber off those tires until it caught traction and then it was fishtailing out of the hole. I actually played in a band as well, which is why I clicked on the vid. I'm glad I saw your comment, though. Brough back some GREAT memories.

I'm sure they are very good. The difference is we're not a band. It's a once a year project with 10-12 lifelong friends who come together for this one gig. We learn new songs every year. Over 500 different songs since 2006 and 430 videos since 2010. We never play these songs again with this group of guys. It's crazy. Half the guys come into town the day before the gig, and that's the only time we rehearse all together. We rely on each guy honing their part on their own. I do miss the comfort of knowing we have played these songs 50 times together. I don't want to say seat of your pants, but there's a lot of moving parts rotating in different people every song and keeping track of all the recording. It's daunting. There is no next week if we screw up a song. It's a different pressure, but when you're up there with guys you've known since you were 10, it is more reassuring. That's why you can't compare what we do with what a band that plays out regularly does. We're just happy to see everyone, play some fun tunes, and off we go until the next year. We really appreciate the compliment though!!
@@fredselbman3319 Leonid and Friends is excellent tho it’s more of a studio setting. I also enjoy Scary Pockets for that type of thing. But you are right NPB is not the only or most accurate covers on you tube. We just do what we love and hope it can brighten your day even half as much as it brightened ours on these particular end of summer sundays.
I’m a drummer with over 60 years of touring, club and studio experience. Yes, he’s good; he played exactly what the song asked of him. But, even if you’ve never sat behind a set,I could teach you this very simple drum part in about three days..
Outstanding by all members. Just found you guys. ❤nice keybord talent going on
One of those songs you can hear 10,000 times and still listen to the whole thing.
That was one hell of an awesome banger!
America needs a Woodstock of backyard picnic bands right about now.
Sweet! ...I'm packing the cooler and heading to the liqour store!
Good sounding band !!!!
Drummer hit the 2-4 to 1-3 to 2-4 change in third verse.... Nice.
Yeah....A very cool one measure flavor that adds to the greatness of this song.
Drummer definitely nailed it, they all did!
There's something so oddly satisfying about that section. Sort of like the change in Heart of Glass.
@@D-Fens_1632 which change? The instrumental section in 7/8?
I noticed that, too! Danny is extremely particular about getting things just right! ❤

That synth sound was just like the record. He found the exact sound.
Not just the synth, This whole performance was great!
you guys were so tight on this tune!!!! luv it....and yes Im an old guitar player from a ways back
Killer. That solo is so full of bends, it tricky. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎸

He really did it justice; those bends ain’t easy.
Yeah... Elliot's lead riff is the key to this song. Nicely done dudes.
