Good job Luke mate.. Just a small bug bear with me... I alway try to fit a coupling (not an elbow) when joining plastic to copper. This helps to eliminate the 'water shock' when the tap is closed down, potentially pushing the fitting away from the copper. Anyway your a great engineer brother 👍
Hi pal just a suggestion but you already probably know when core drilling do a 8mm pilot hole from inside and then core your hole back in from the outside.sorry if this did not make any sense.thanks for your vids mate i have learnt alot from them.thanks👍✌
Watching that thinking what an earth is he doing teeing in below that stop tap😂, good job you clocked it, some times we rush and can’t see the obvious mistake, nice job that though and that price is about right.
It's a nice job, and once the customer is satisfied, and it works with no leaks, job done! Liked plastic supply to the toilet, works as well as and you don't need to paint it. Copper at the end with isolator and a flexi, sound. Good idea to locate the toilet under the stairs, the wall, and the stack being close by outside. Sounded like a p(l)an!!
Wee hand wash basin in corner would sort that lovely. I know your only doing a job but i would of charged 2grand and then got a wee corner sink in there 😂😂
@@SHKH874 mate you should see americas prices, plumbers need to charge more, too many handymen doing crap jobs that drives our industries prices down. If you wanna charge pity prices, go for it lol
great job nice and straight forward nothing wrong with the job i just use a tee instead of the elbow and put a inspection cap on it but thats just a preference
My partner had a downstairs toilet fitted by a so called plumber but he use a massarator why I don't know it was for ever getting blocked .the soil pipe was in the exactly the same place as the one you tapped into .being a brickie and in the trade all my working life I whipped it out and replaced it with 110mm soil pipe like you .job done .
Hi Luke. Been watching your videos for a while now. Never commented before, but I feel the need to. Your mate charging you £300 to for a maximum 3 hours work seems a lot.
Yeah...i made a mistake ,20mm bit , stopped for a second , restarted in wall , bit jammed , drill spun , 2 spiral breaks in hand.. 4 screws to fix bones. Lucky enough , i was top of ladder , Did,nt fall off.
In the kingdom of the blind the one eyed man is king. Keep doing what you do so well pal. Encouraging young people to get a trade while there's water in the world no plumber should be unemployed
To be honest she was an old dear, I’ve replaced her boiler, fires, cooker few other plumbing jobs so she did get it cheap but always looked after me with work so maybe was a little cheap but still made enough to keep me going 👍
@@bluebulldog_uk I get it , have you noticed anything, you go to restaurant or buy takeaway from food shops , prices are rocket high , if you do charity work for everyone you end up working long hours and earning nothing..
Toilets should be at the bottom of the garden like ours up north at least 30 yards away from the house its disgusting they have them near the kitchen , a freind of mine has one near his kitchen the stink is unbelievable and its a new house horrendous when hes cooking.
Well done mate, sometimes it pays to take a slight hit and give a little back to a loyal customer. Any chance I could get a link for that 4 inch chamfsr tool it's a cracking piece of kit and I want one. Keep the great vids coming 😊
Don't ever mention Plumbers Mait, it never was anymore than a product full of shortcomings and I know from bitter experiences going back to its inception!
Cracking video, your a nice guy you deserve to do well. 😊
Thanks mate much appreciated
That was a good watch, thank you
Thanks 👍
Yee haw.

What are the regs on that? Aren't you supposed to fit a basin with hot water as well, I could be wrong though?
That was a very good one, good job guys.

Nice job Luke, I like that kind of video.
Thanks mate 🙌👍

Mate when you said fit a new toilet I thought you meant a one for one swop. I was thinking too right you can do it for a grand😂 Great job.
😂😂 thanks mate 🙌👍
Watching that thinking what an earth is he doing teeing in below that stop tap😂, good job you clocked it, some times we rush and can’t see the obvious mistake, nice job that though and that price is about right.
Nearly made a mistake didn’t I 😂😂👍

Not everyone's a robbing basket!
I did try and push the budget, think it worked out about extra £250-£350 something like that, would of finished it off lovely 👍

I’d of done 2 aswell 👍
great job nice and straight forward nothing wrong with the job i just use a tee instead of the elbow and put a inspection cap on it but thats just a preference
Would of been better to be fair
great work, my mate got pulled on having no rodding point on the elbow the other day he had to go back and change it, damn inspectors!
Be alright 😅👍
Put the pan in wnd sit on it and fet up and down a couple of times
Love the fact that someone can get caught on the toilet if the cupboard door gets opened. 😂
😂 peek a boo
Nice job
🙌👍
Built new stud wall toilet/vanity unit floor plastering and decorating for just over a bag of sand
That’s a very good price to be fair getting all that done
I did exactly that with a sky cable.
Was close 😅

Good man 👍 can’t understand why they would use a poop blender rather than straight into stack be least it’s done now
Hi Luke. Been watching your videos for a while now. Never commented before, but I feel the need to. Your mate charging you £300 to for a maximum 3 hours work seems a lot.
seems fair to me
He was there all day helping with toilet etc, wasn’t sure how long it would take so thought 2 hands better than 1
Does this new installation not require a finger basin with a hot & cold supply to comply with current building regulations?
Perfect world yes I would like to install one but customers budget couldn’t afford it
I don't thing building regs are optional! Keep up the great work, liked the chest cam btw. Best Regards
I have a core drill that nearly broke my arm one day. It twisted around like a crocodile and brought me with it.
Seen that happen…not nice 🫣

Ģreat job wasnt much more you could do.
Thanks 🙌👍
I always test any new W.C I've installed by taking a dump in it.
😂😂👍
Not a bad job pal I'm not here to pick peanuts out of poo...inspection instead of a coupling may have been a thought but hey ho solid enough 😉
Fair point that mate 👍

Is 2024 , should be more than that … everything go up , if materials goes up , your price goes up , I say £1,200 at least .
To be honest she was an old dear, I’ve replaced her boiler, fires, cooker few other plumbing jobs so she did get it cheap but always looked after me with work so maybe was a little cheap but still made enough to keep me going 👍
on what day rate is that based though?

Where do you wash your hands ?
British doesn't need to
Kitchen right next to it….bottle of hand sanitizer next to toilet so you can use that before going to wash hands

Would say he has problem with drains if it’s a constant smell, shouldn’t be any smell to be honest
To cheep mate
Old dear. Done loads of work for her to be fair so was a little cheap

Tbh I've used it without problems for over 40 years...
I’ve never used it, never come across a situation where I thought it would be useful.
I’ve never used it but I never will.
I’m a dentist.
😂 1000£ is correct because anything more just isn't it not with that quality
Yeah I thought £1000 was spot on for what they wanted
The commentary is terrible, could only hear you mumbling.
I heard everything loud and clear
