To me metal is like a therapy to not be violent, because when moshing, headbanging and just jamming a good song, I have a way to release all the hate, stress, violence or negative thoughts with the intensity of the music, those feelings that make me want to scream out loud when I can't, but there is a band that screams for me and brings me peace. I often get described as calmed and kind, and I think it's because of metal that I can be like that. I would love if non-metalheads understood that.
So true, especially if it's Symphonic or Power Metal, that really gets me super pumped and lets me just get everything out, like every time I listen to Turisas for example I feel like I just have to punch everything (especially their song "Stand Up and Fight") then it lets you keep calm throughout the rest of the day, and like you said I'm super chill also if I'm frustrated I have Metal to help me vent.
Head banging is my meditation. I get you completely. 🤘☮️❤️
I've always been super chill and laidback and described the same way. A majority of what i listen to has that energetic, angry tone to it. Punk, metal, and some bass-heavy electronic music. It really is an outlet for me

Vin, I agree 100 percent with the rap thing. SOME rap artists pretend to be gangsters or are gangsters and tell the whole world through their music they should be gangsters too.
BTW the guy with the spikes on his head is Craig Jones. He doesn't really talk at all, he just kinda nods (at most). He doesn't even talk to his band mates that much. If he were a babysitter, it would probably be a lot of awkward silence.

Same here I totally agree with his statement, I actually had a best friend who was obsessed with Hip - Hop and he started wearing bandanas, sagging his pants and trying to act like a gangster and unfortunately he ended up getting shot and killed because he got mixed into a bad crowd.

Don, the old guy who invited them to his church, talked about his life in one of the videos (as did a number of the elders) and he has an amazing story to tell. From his childhood to military service to a long career in the music industry, it's worth a watch if you can find the video.

Just give it some time...by the time she’s in high school...she’ll probably start listening to so much more metal that it’ll start to piss you off...like me and my family...the heaviest music that my mom and dad listened to is the 70s style hard Rock/heavy Metal...but I find myself headbanging to whitechapel or something like that in front of them...my dad asks me if I need to see a doctor...it’s fucking amazing...by the way...it had to have been Craig that didn’t say anything...he basically never talks
I used to listen to only Linkin Park, maybe on Occasion Classic Rock, but then in 7th grade while replaying Need For Speed: Most Wanted and hearing Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed I decided to look more into Metal, then I think around 10th or 11th grade my friend started getting me into Death Metal so then I got into Black Dahlia Murder, Bloodbath, Cannibal Corpse,etc. But he told me Black Metal was awful, so I didn't really get into Black till last year when I discovered Dimmu Borgir. Now I'm 22 and listen to almost all subgenres of Metal, still not the biggest fan of Metalcore and Deathcore, aside from a few bands.
werewolf914....have you listened to Infant annihilator...cause they provide a lot more of a crack in the mold when it comes to deathcore...technical, somewhat progressive...they have an amazing nearly 18 minute song that provides a lot of different music changes

This is my first ever comment on a vin and sori reaction video.
Im not a fan of slipknot and never will be, but i have my theory about masks in heavy metal. They go on stage, and the mask is literally a character that allows them to be one way while doing the show but once the show is done and they are backstage and not wearing a mask, you literally don't know them from Adam.
They can play the over the top rock star while on stage but once the show is done, they're still able to go home and have annonimity and have a normal life.
It's a pretty a pretty inspired idea actually.
If you want to hear classical-esc music combined with metal, you should absolutely check out Nightwish and Evanescence! And rock music is definitely an outlet of all types!
