I have a "Big House" Country Band Fender DG-7, Acoustic in Original Condition. It is autographed by all the Band members in1999. They were up for some CMA Nominations in '97 and '98. I received the Guitar in Steamboat Springs, CO in '99. Still going in California. Maybe they should revisit Texas.
i heard these guys on cassett back in the 90's and it was some of the best music i had ever heard . i wish they could have kept going . this is the first time i have seen a video of them and it looked like they were having alot of fun with it. when monty laughed at the end of song it just made me laugh to. great group
Rip Sonny. I never got to experience him live. Let me tell YOU, 20 sumthing years later. The Byrom Brothers STILL rock the house down. They are an absolute ONCE IN A LIFE TIME EARORGASIMIC experience LIVE. Monty's vocals are heavenly and his brother Tanner on the drums mesh together like magical mind readers. Chris Neufield on the keyboards will blow you away and leave your jaw wide open in awe. Added with the talent of Wil Anderson on the Bass who keeps the beat banging on time... I LOVE THESE GUYS.. Truly gifted!! Amazing, breath taking. MUST EXPERIENCE LIVE. I have seen them at our little local town watering whole and I have never had such an amazing experience. If you get a chance and you LOVE the kinda music you can FEEL, your must experience these guys live. NO KIDDING and NO I am NOT a promoter or booking agent, lol. I'm Just a fan.
I lived in Bakersfield, Ca for 23 years and had the pleasure of seeing multiple shows as well as getting to kick it with most of the guys personally, for being lucky enough to have a good friend that was very close to them. I enjoyed it when they had Sonny on harmonica. I thought it added something that was rare in this style of music. Sonny was always the "silent" one, as far as I could tell when around them. When David and Monty did their back and forth, now you wanna talk about earorgasmic? Oh hell yeah! I still listen to these guys all these years later. I've rocked the streets of Idaho for the last 10 years that I've lived here, jamming down the roads with the volume up. Probably looking like an idiot because I literally know every beat, word and breath taken on every song. ::sigh:: Oh what I would give to go back in time and see them again.
I have a Sonny California harmonica that he gave to me at a concert. He was amazing. I still listen to my Cold Outside cd all the time. These guys were so good. Sure do miss their music..
I was there at one of their shows where David got so into his playing that he literally broke his guitar! I suppose it felt good at the moment but boy, was he pissed later? Oh yeah, to the tune of about $400!
Big House. Hank Whitesell turned me on to them @2000 I’m a harp player. Sonny is one of my go to lesson practice learn something recordings to play with. He is amazing but lord have mercy those vocals and that back beat .... that’s a great band. Incredible to me they weren’t HUGE.
Big House and myself made a movie on their last album together called Never Ending Train check it out...Great Band indeed, vary talented and fun group to hang with.
I'm pretty sure that's the guitar that David got a little too excited at a show and broke. Did about $400 bucks worth of damage to it but when it happened: Priceless

Best band ever. I just can't understand why they weren't promoted properly. Unique, insanely great talent.
