      I am hyped up over on ZorinOS right now and might be the next Windows XP for WIndows enthusiasts the sounds are pretty premium and the main taskbar theme is absolutely phenomenal since Windows 7 was a thing and looks way better than Windows 10. The main Start Menu is PURPOSELY based on Windows XP and the dialogue for it purposely admits it to resurrect the classic menu feeling that Windows once had. It even recommends you could resurrect older hardware and put it on older computers to relive life like it was years ago the whole distro is a beautiful distro you have to see it to believe it it looks both modern, retro, and even futuristic i've never been this obsessed over a Linux distro and the main Start Menu theme is giving me nostalgia trips like insane definitely user friendly and no coding required I hate to say it ZorinOS might even be better than Linux Mint.

    At uni we had invented a game we called "tic tac toe extreme". We drew three tic tac toe grids one next to the other, and they represented the three levels of a cube. So you could do a vertical tic tac toe by ticking one square in the same position on each grid for example.

    • @conjurermast
      @conjurermast 2 дня назад

      Yeah, that sounds way more interesting than regular tic tac toe. (with forced perfect draws potentially far out of reach for humans)

    • @firestormjupiter
      @firestormjupiter 2 дня назад

      In primary school (singapore system) I created massively expanded games of tic tac toe with grids of over 20-30 squares per edge. we also experimented with mechanics like wacky grids, odd shapes like hexagons and spaces that are blocked or served various functions. It was fun when we still had time to set aside to invent huge and complex board games.

    Tic-tac-toe is a bad game in the sense that it's too easy to play perfect games, which would mean endless draws against a well programmed computer, this computer game is well...

    Matt what is your thoughts on ZorinOS would you use their Linux distro it's SUPPOSED to be an actual Windows Linux clone what are your thoughts buddy?

    • @LymanPhillips
      @LymanPhillips 2 дня назад

      @@TechnoMinded-qp5in It's not a Windows clone. It looks a lot like Windows, but Windows and Linux are two completely different operating systems. They have different philosophies, different tools and different applications.
      However, if you select the right distribution, and understand a basic windowing environment, you should be able to figure it out with very little difficulty.
      In fact, if you wanted to try Linux, I'd start with something like Linux Mint Cinnamon edition if you're looking for something familiar. If you have a relatively powerful machine and want something that has more of a cell phone feel with an application drawer, the Ubuntu is a good choice.
      If you're mostly using browser based apps, any mainstream Linux Distribution should be fine. Heck if ALL you use are browser based applications, then you might want to try ChromeOS Flex - it turns your PC into a Chromebook without the android app store. ChromeOS is a very nice, purpose built operating system built for Google users who use web applications.
      Watch some intro videos and see what you like.

      @@TheLinuxCast I would say so I could of sworn it looks like Windows XP which is why I wanted to ask but Steam games do appear to be getting better they're a nice cause I even like how they support older hardware. If I had older harder though I would probably want Windows XP/Vista/7 on it those are my favorite Windows it's not looking too good for Microsoft and nobody is liking Windows Recall. I still think Zorin is everything Microsoft really should be I tried ChromeOS but my dual wifi adapter is not being friendly to me. I do like you can access the play store but I might get a Chromebook later on or something. There's certain things on Windows 10 I still need you do gotta admit it's a pretty beautiful distro I want it as a SteamOS replacement though my main issue is you can't display the seconds on the taskbar but meh I'm pretty sure there are work arounds that would be nice if they allowed the LTS kernel it does feel like it has potential though to replace Windows you do gotta admit that much I think Windows 10 will be my last favorite Windows because of Windows Recall be careful about the Windows 11 24H2 you're gonna wanna disable it because they have rumors the screen shots get sent to the Microsoft data center not looking good man you guys stay safe.

      @@TheLinuxCast I am also looking at ReactOS which wants to bring back older Windows and wants to make Windows software work by default it looks to still be in early alpha phase though but it looks like it has potential. I've been originally want Linux because of Steam Deck I've seen some pretty neat distros and I know some people are even talking about CachyOS being better than Windows 11 but I notices KDE Plasma glitches on me I do like the KDE environment though. The only reason I am using Linux is because of SteamOS and Valve seems to be playing favorites with Linux we can only hope man that they force a Linux option in the future.
