    I live in Venezuela. My question is :How do this guys manage to film the clip without getting mugged or killed to take their vudeo camera and cell phones? It is a real miracle they didnt become murder victims. Also talking English in public? A good way to become another kidnapping or murder statistic. Congrats in surviving your shopping day. By the way I am a Venezuela living in Venezuela. so this video is 100 Percent truth

    My Grandparents always stored up extra food. When I questioned their logic, they replied: People, don't wait until tough times to store up food and necessities. They lived through hard times and the memories stayed with them for life. Also, growing some of your own food even if you live in an apartment would be a help. I hope after reading this comment you take my Grandparents words to heart and put it into action.

    It's been 3 years since this video was posted on RUclips and the condition in Venezuela is Soo bad that people are forced to live on rotten meat and they don't have any option but to search for food in the trashcan, while their leader is enjoying a big stake dinner at nusr-Et. It is estimated that inflation is at 84,000%. But still Maduro wins the election. Very sad to see the people's suffering there. Hope other countries intervene and at least provide some relief to the native population or else in no time it can be the next Syria.

    I find the actual situation of venezuela specially angering, just pisses me off that we had more than 10 years of oil over 100$ per barrel and we didnt get anything good out of it, we had more money than Dubai (you know, the ppl that made the world tallest skyscrapper and paid for its ppl health program completely, without breaking a sweat). In the future what happened here in Venezuela will be remembered as the biggest, most expensive corruption and theft case in humans history.

    • @jonathantan2469
      @jonathantan2469 8 лет назад +3

      +Carlos Carreño But Venezuela has 3X the population of Dubai. Also, Venezuela didn't diversify its economy & relied on oil for income.

    • @capnseriousnap
      @capnseriousnap 8 лет назад +10

      +Jonathan Tan yeah sure Venezuela is bigger, but even so all of the infrastructure is on the brink of breaking down, roads have batches all over, bridges have collapsed while others are on a total lack maintenence, buildings even and so on, they say they invested but the amount of money for these purposes made public doesnt reflect on the reality. Before this Gov. reached power venezuela had a more diversified economy, our second larges income was steel and aluminum from the basic industries, second was Hydroelectrical power and third tourism, this gov. managed to destroy the other incomes, and focused on exploiting the oil industry, so much that today its completely submerged in debt. It's so unbeliveable what happened here that its hard to grasp out of these few words.

This country has a system runed by the government where they control the $ failure, so you have to buy them on the black market, who ever wrote that article is seriously wrong...

    I was born in Venezuela, when I was younger and living there, mainly around 2015, my mother and I were heading to the grocery store to grab some food, and while we walked there we saw a military truck carrying sugar, grain and other stuff in giant white bags. When the drove passed they got stopped by a bunch of people and the people on the streets crowded around the truck, two police men came out and tried to stop the people but they got pushed aside, I remember watching as people climbed up the truck and tossed bags of the sugar, rice, etc.. onto the ground and people grabbing them and running down the street. By then my mother and I were in the store. I remember seeing the isles empty, the lights were flickering, a lot of the windows were shattered or broke, we only could get so much, and by the time we got out. More police showed up to stop the people from getting the food.
    And now in 2019, it has only gotten worse. In my opinion this is what a unskilled president and a incorrect way to run a political idea can do to a country. Maduro is a damn dictator

    •  6 лет назад

      Afternoon makes no sense anyway, becaus the next half of the day is concidered afternoon in logical sense and is correct, but if you say to someone in 6:00-24:00 "Good Afternoon" you will look sick in the head. They will inform you, "Its evening you idiot" or "its night time wha?" No seriously, Afternoon clearly just seems to last till 3PM When it really should last till the next day at 12:59 also no one can put a standard time where after noon ends so around places people might say afternoon ends as early as 3:00 or as late as 24:00 becuase its "After" noon,. Get it? After 12:00

    • @Anon-xd3cf
      @Anon-xd3cf 6 лет назад +1

      Gabo P
      You mean *passed noon* surely?
      Not "past afternoon"

    • @Anon-xd3cf
      @Anon-xd3cf 6 лет назад

      Classic
      Your times are all off and so your statement makes no sense.
      06:00-24:00 should read *06:00**-**00:00*
      It's called a 24 hours clock...but there is no 24:00.
      There is 23:59 then it's 00:00 then 00:01 when using 24 hours format.
      Also I think you meant 18:00-24:00... Because you're talking about "good afternoon" Vs "good evening"
      And
      Lastly, noon was considered to be the time of day when the sun was at its highest in the sky. Therefore after-noon literally meant after the sun was at its highest. There are more words than you seem to realise that are used to describe the various levels of light as the sun "goes down" but generally speaking *afternoon* becomes evening around sunset and evening becomes night during proscribed sleep hours.
      But honestly, (and not in a mean way) I think you should look into this topic more and educate yourself a little better.
      It is a fascinating subject that you are obviously quite curious about...
      I would suggest you look into writing different time formats...
      They often change from country to country... That's pretty cool too.

      Actually m8 the definition of socialism is that a country provides all the needs of its people ( education, healthcare ect.) and the Scandinavian countries and adopted this form of socialism , like for example free health care, free education, and less income inequality. Trust me the socialism in Venezuela and other countries like that are hardly socialist, they are more "communist" and I put communist in quotations because real life communism (e.i. Soviet communism ) has nothing incommon with Marx original views

    • @0Kbulos
      @0Kbulos 9 лет назад +5

      +Donovan Skinner Provide education, healthcare and security must be work of all governments, it's not socialism. Besides, communism is the second step of socialism. In a communist country there is not state, in Venezuela the state is very strong, we can't tell that this country is communist.

    Price controls is the Governments method of providing the essentials at a reasonable price despite currency devaluation. This happened when I lived in Venezuela from 1980 to 1983 and the price of oil fell to 40 dollars a barrel. The Government was forced to freeze prices and devalue the currency. Since almost everything was imported, the replacement costs in dollars remained the same. At the same time the Government instituted an official exchange rate for day to day business and an special exchange rate for those goods that were essential to the country. The Government issue coupons to business to obtain the special rate. Needless to say the two tiered exchange rate allowed wholesale theft, especially if one were a Government bureaucrat. To get a coupon, the going bribe was one bolivar for every dollar to be exchange. One could buy dollars at the low price with the coupon, turn around and sell the dollars at the higher price. So the moral of the story is that when you see two exchange rates, somebody's making a lot of money.

    As someone who just got back from Peru, after having many conversations with the Venezuelans there the situation is worse then this could ever paint.
    I met a woman who had to buy the surgical equipment for her surgery them went under the knife without Anastasia, pain medication , or anything to numb the skin. Her scar was the size of a fist and she says "she is alive by the grace of God. " she told us the average wage is $1.50 American a month right now.
    She showed us pictures of starving friends and neighbours and talked about sending money home.
    Maduro shut down all foreign investment including western union so foreigners can't even send cash into the country unless you have a connection in Columbia that has a connection in Venezuela.
    Meanwhile Maduro released many of the countries most dangerous criminals to spite the people leaving the country and use them for control. The criminals run the streets and leave the government alone. It's hard to protest when your afraid to look at anyone in the streets. Many of these criminals are now in Peru and other neighbouring countries setting up crime operations like human trafficking, drug trafficking, murder for hire etc.
    Socialism is the inherent sharing of suffering.

    I hear now that most of the aircraft fleet of Venezuelan's national carrier are actually grounded as they can't afford the maintenance.
    They have to sell tickets for a regulated price in Bolivars (fares that are cheaper than the taxi fare to the airport) but aircraft parts are sold in US dollars.
    With the value of the Bolivar decreasing at a constant rate, airlines that operate in Venezuela do so at a loss - so there aren't many flights operating.
