Audrey Anastasi’s “ref-u-gee” Artist Talk - May 17, 2023

Audrey Anastasi presents a ZOOM Artists talk about the online iteration of her ref-u-gee exhibition. The talk was hosted for the New York Artists Circle by the online show curators, Fran Beallor and Lois Bender.
From October 2022 through January 2023, the work was presented in a physical show in the Brooklyn College Library Gallery in collaboration with the Valentine Museum of Art (VMoA). Her solo exhibition on the theme of forced migration featured 57 of the 180 original passport-sized paintings and four 8 foot tall paintings. Curators Beallor and Bender saw the beauty and relevancy of “Audrey’s treatment and subject as an important addition to our Curatorial Program of exhibitions.”
