I had a ,1958 version in grey and dark blue. It was totally reliable and handled well. I rode it all over the UK including the first Dragon Rally to Wales and the National Rally, often 2 up!
AMC being clever and dumping Villiers, only having to go back cap in hand to get Villiers to build their commisioned Italian designed engines for them.
That one seems a lot better than their reputation.
