- Sensei and company board their space battleship, an ancient artifact known as the Ship of Utnapishtim. As the different clubs set to work understanding the mysterious vehicle, Himari spots an unwelcome visitor.
An English translation of the Blue Archive main story Final Volume, "Where All Miracles Begin," Chapter 3, "Operation Atra-Hasis," which released on 2/22/2023.
Operation False Sanctum was a success-but the taste of victory didn't last for long. The same energy masses appear yet again, heralding an even greater battle to come.

Rio totally deserved those words from Himari, but can't deny that they need all the hands they can get at the moment.
I love that as much of a genius Himari is, she's still really cares about people around her, even one that she might not know much about like Toki and able to get emotional because of suffering and misfortune that happened to others, which makes her really empathetic. Truly one of the best girls
Thanks for the TL, Sensei!
For someone on a wheelchair, Himari really knows how to kick someone when they're down.
Still Rio needs good ol' fashioned Sensei correction.
To paraphrase a character from another gacha: "Frail genius hackers of Millennium have many virtues - but mercy to enemies is not one of them!"
Sensei: i smell something burnt in here...
Hanako and Himari the duo smartest that able to burn with their logic and reasoning
Yuuka: No means no! This is for your own good! Go back to Millennium!
Aris: But Aris wants to be a space hero.
Yuuka really looking like Aris's mom in that scene.
Bold of you to assume that she isn't
she's as heavy as ur mom tho
Guess Yuuka is my mother in law~
ofc she is my daughter's mother
I really like the the King story. I forgot Hanako is a genuine genius
Aside from all the lewd things she had.

Self fulfilling prophecy
By building the city of Eridu as a Stronghold, Rio give Kei the weapon she need to destroy Kivotos.
Very true. Also it is very intriguing why Rio has some knowledge as to how the tech left behind by the Nameless actually works. Makes you think if she is a descendant of them. Or maybe she is one of those Nameless but she got into cryosleep and upon waking up, she got amnesia as side effect but her body remembers like a reflex.
I think it might also be referencing the GSC president, considering Rin had her share to say about her. When you meet her at the beginning of the game, she really looked like she struggled and despaired against a destiny she could not win against. She even starts with "It was all my fault. My decisions and everything they caused. It had to come to this for me to finally realize that you were right all along.", which kinda implied that whatever happened was a result of her not letting Sensei act.
@@lenessiaelartekreutzer7321 As Himari states, Rio is a genius of her own level. Likely she dug up a lot of info to understand it.
@@TricksterPoi Black Suit is doing the same yet he is only scratching the surface. Meanwhile Rio actually understands it and applies some of it to her creations. Eridu is a sample. I doubt Rio could achieve that much by her own. The ancients hid their stuff so well that even Black Suit has difficulty finding it. Someone must have left bread crumbs that let Rio see a bigger part of the picture and some stuff of the ancients.
"I'm reminded of an epic about a king trying to avoid fate, but causes it himself" Hanako do you know how little that narrows it down, it's one of the most common indo-european myths to exist.
Man, Himari really gave it to Rio. Really shows how dark the themes used in GDC part 2. As always, thanks for the TL Yanagikaze-sensei!
Seeing the Millenium people in high spirits, especially my game club daughters, really makes my day.
i wish to have those game club daughters running around my house, they are so cute and funny
Ayo they finally got to the Space Sevastopol

Ghost type Rio can't get hit by Normal damage...
But Himari deal emotional damage, it's very effective!!
As always, Thank you so much for the translations! 🙏
24:58 is this story perhaps parallel with GSC president perhaps, that why she went missing because she thought she would only bring more disaster.

Oh! Thanks for the new chapter translation yanagi sensei~
Yanagikaze Sensei's done everyone a big favor once again, thank you Sensei~
Even the most brilliant of minds can't wrap their heads around how to use their new 'transport' ship or the seven 'koans'.
The General Student Council is trying to figure out how to operate the Ark while at the same time Rin and Hanako are trying to figure out what the 'koans' refer to given that the GSC President only 'told' Rin that they're like riddles much to her confusion and curiosity. Then we have several students arriving to help run the Ark as Himari puts it: Engineers and hackers to figure out how to operate the Ark and keep it running, tacticians and managers to strategize operations and what everyone needs to do. Seems everyone's more invested in how huge the Ark is than trying to figure out how to get it running for the time being...
Then we also have Aris/Alice...who, not to mention what her effective role is later on, just wants to be a space hero. Poor Yuuka, Aris already caused a lot of issues for Millenium because of Rio going off on a tangent which made things worse, now she's trying to keep Aris safe from Rio as usual. Rio clearly isn't likes by her fellow Millenium students and everyone has no clue where she is now. At least Yuuka isn't hostile towards her or her hobbies, she just doesn't want Aris to be with them on the Ark in case Rio somehow got onboard.
'Kei/Key' doesn't know anything about the Color, but she does seem to know that the weapon needed to deal with it or within it (their destined target) is far too dangerous for the likes of Aris to come into contact with. For all the problems she can give Aris, she's trying to persuade Aris from placing herself in great danger or rather, attempting to prevent Aris from bringing disaster to Kivotos.
Thanks for your hard work!
As always thank you for translating

Did you know that Himari really likes Enka music?
I am mentioning this because this type of music originated during the Meji period in Japan and at first one of its main themes was political dissent (reflects Himari's stance and actions towards Rio throughout the main and side story).
Over time, Enka also gained other themes such as love, loneliness, death and suicide (I think it reflects Rio's personality, a lonely girl unable to connect with others but nevertheless loved her school so much she went ahead and prepared a series of contingencies against any threat that would see to its destruction...even at the cost of her life).
With that out of the way, I believe that Himari's perception of the whole Eridu fiasco is somewhat flawed. Don't get me wrong, Rio certainly deserves flak for going full LowTierGod on Arisu, nearly causing the end of Kivotos and leaving Toki like that while also avoiding much-deserved punishment.
But there are things she certainly doesn't deserve vitriol for and the first one is her actually taking a stand against the forces that threaten Millennium; while her overly secretive nature made her shot herself in the foot (and cause a lot of metaphorical damage), Rio actually took these threats seriously like with those guided missiles a few chapters back, when everyone had no idea how were they even supposed to take down the black orb. They didn't work in the end, but that isn't something to fault Rio for.
But the thing Rio absolutely cannot and should not be held accountable for are Toki's action. It is an entirely reasonable thing to hold Rio accountable for HER OWN actions, but it's another when it comes to Toki.
To explain myself, let's go first on Toki as a character and immediately we have the image of a perfect maid, who will carry out any order no matter its nature or the risks for herself, but there's more about Toki as serving her master is a need so strong she is more than willing to sacrifice her entire education and social life for.
Himari said that Rio forbade her from socializing with others, but not only we have no actual confirmation of Rio imparting such an order, but we can already see that socializing isn't really her interest (she basically goes to C&C and that's it).
Toki is certainly not a girl with a sound mind and if anything Rio should be held accountable for merely employing her in the first place, like any other eventual person that wants to have Toki serve them; I know that some say that Toki cannot be held accountable because "she was just following orders" however she CHOSE to follow these orders out of her free will, much like Neru refused Rio's orders when it came to abduct Arisu.
As for Himari talking about Rio making Toki complicit in murder, this is the point I disagree with the most not only because there's a scarily high probability that Toki wouldn't have cared about Arisu's death in the first place (my worry being reinforced by the fact that Toki seemingly never apologized for participating in her possible murder), but the even greater argument I have against it is that Rio wasn't even willing to do the deed; bear with me here, do you honestly think that Rio, with all the crapton of resources and power at her disposal, can't kill a single student completely at her mercy in the span of three days (I'm counting both the two days after the abduction and the one when the rescue happens)? Seriously, Rio could've just summoned an army of AMAS or even Toki with that fancy suit of hers to endlessly shoot Arisu until she her halo broke, or she could've given her the chair and channeled the entirety of Eridu's electric output into Arisu's small body.
What I mean to say is that Rio never had the stomach to kill Arisu and wouldn't have ordered Toki to do the deed instead, also I believe that Rio actually cares about Toki's wellbeing (an example being when she ordered her to her lasers due to a gut reaction).
Funny how the story started out with this mostly-business-only introduction between Rio and Toki,
because later on theories would float around suggesting that Toki's longing for company and want for praise was actually nurtured by Rio
This impression was amplified even further by Bunny Toki's bond story,
with the theory now evolving to assume that Rio even "spoiled" her to a degree
(albeit most likely unintentionally via reinforcement learning)
If this becomes officially confirmed at a later story point, it can further cement the idea that Rio never really had the heart to terminate Aris immediately in the first place
@@hardsciotaCan't really comment on the Bunny Toki Relationship story because I haven't seen it, but I can say that Rio at least seems to care for Toki's wellbeing.
As for Arisu, Rio just talked big game and was unable to go through with it; my theory is that she somewhat understood that Arisu alone wasn't a threat, but due to the impossibility of separating her from Key and her own stubbornness in not asking for help (or hearing different viewpoints) she saw only one possible path...which she was unable to walk.
.....humm
Something I wondered was why Toki has been hanging out with Sensei, when she really should be with Himari
And why is Toki being placed as a victim? She CHOSE to follow Rio's orders, she CHOSE to side with her, she knew exactly what she was doing, so why paint her as some tragic heroine taking the fall?
is more of a obligation rather than anything. toki did not chose, is her job to obey the president. nothing more nothing less,
Himari does have a lot of influence on Toki like her V pose peace peace is something Himari taught her.
Pay attention to the relationship story with Toki, Toki was never a social butterfly and lacked common sense of norms to begin with.
Rio took advantage of that and made it worse by being an "exclusive" maid and doing her bidding, with no one able to point out what's right or wrong for her.
SPOILER:
This was fixed later, after the rest of C&C finally accepts her and hanging around Sensei. She's still lacking some common sense, but she's getting there.
That's the whole issue with C&C to begin with. They are not like Hina's group or Tsurugi's organization. Ultimately are a borderline paramilitary group that answers only to Seminar. But the club as a whole can rely on people like Yuuka and Noa not abusing that power and Neru being resolute enough to be able to tell Seminar to go eff themselves if the orders don't sit well with her.
Toki being isolated and being fed Rio's paranoid and uncontested view of the whole situation really makes her the victim here. The problem is that for all she knew, Rio was in the right and Aris was a dormant world ending threat, which I mean, technically she kinda was, seeing how a certain bad end went down. Under such pressure it's really hard to argue against someone who you know is smarter than you and is clearly desperate to solve things and not doing it out of malice or selfishness. Do remember Rio was able to leave even Sensei struggling to find an argument.
To face Rio you needed to be as smart as her, like Himari or be hardheaded enough not to let sophistry wear you down, like Neru. Toki was neither. For all she knew, she was doing the right thing, and leaving her to deal with the downfall of her own mess was just very shitty from Rio.
@@neh1234 Rio is not at all smarter than sensei, not even a little bit. As for sensei not being able to find an argument, that's just the writers making his personality that way.
