My dog was like that: pools, all of them; baths, heck no
They say dogs hate baths because they have to stay still on a slippery tub and that can be frustrating. Not only that but the sound of running water and the smell of the soap might be contributing factors.
And that's why I bath my dog in the pool they like playing in the pool and I can lather them in shampoos while they are distracted
Pool bad. Bath bad. Ocean bad. Stream/Swamp in the Forest? Totally fine. That's my dog's logic.
Mine really love bath, but hate pools.... Dog logic. 🤷🏻♀️
German Shepherds:
They SHED!!
They Bark a lot
They are HARD work
They need a TON of time
They require HOURS of exersice
They need a LOT of training
And Working Lines NEED A JOB (not just obedience).
They are prone to hip problems
They are BIG
They may destroy your belongings (probably AT LEAST once).
But in spite of all this....

Did you know if you put a stick it bath mat and towel in water it keeps the doggo calmer since he doesn't feel like his feet are slipping everywhere. Plus it'll save the bottom of your tub from scratches. You have a beautiful tub and tile shower!!!

All my dogs and cats enjoyed a bath. Except one cat. Would not even put one toe in. But she was beautiful anyway. Love these two puppers like they are mine.

I think they heard from other dogs that mean humans drown dogs that they don't want....dog thinks, "what did I do? Oh, goodbye cruel world......" Actually I think that the shampoo smells overwhelming to them.

So glad my 120 lb American Bulldog has loved water and bath time since he was a puppy. Biggest problem was him trying to drink all the water.
