Regardless, its not ethical or socially healthy to mold entertainment out of the death of others. Even in those days, gladiators were commonly seen as less than men because of the perverted sport they participated in(professional gladiators). However, it was still a show of strength to compete against the champions, as winning proved your strength(and honorable as you put down the monster), and losing meant proving you die with honor.
BlazarK thats not medieval times,thats the excaliber show in las vegas and they serve you a meal which is a whole chicken,potatoes,biscuits,drinks,tomato soup and a dessert (no silverware)
My orchestra went on tour to Canada and I got to go see this. It was one hell of a night, and it was amazing, the food was exceptional and so was the fighting, and I got a picture with the yellow night :-) :-D

The Knights in the video dont really choreograph it as well as the one i went to. The one i went to, the Moves were the same, but the actors were much faster.

Of course it's rehearsed! The weapons are sharpened and very real. You think they're just gonna swing those around for the hell of it? And black and white wins this month. It changes monthly.
Anyone with sense know's it's rehearsed, but it doesn't matter, it's stylistic combat for good old fashioned fun. For some more realistic combat there's some other medieval armoured duelling becoming popular, though arms, noses and fingers get broken and bloody.

went to one of these in toronto for a class trip it was bad ass the potatoes sucked tho the they put a fucked up spice on them back then but man its worth your money when i went it was like 35 bucks per person for an hour and a half show with food drinks and a place to sit and free entertainment its bomb
I like the whole theme. It would be better if the Knight who knocked the guy off the horse did not attack again from his horse. It looks really un-sportsman like. A better show would be that once a man is knocked off his horse then the other also dismounts before engaging. I think the show should be more directed at displaying good values and not just fighting- after all isn't that what attracts people to the Knight's to begin with? Otherwise we would all be going to the Barbarian Times instead.
I'm sure somebody is whining about this being fake. Whatever made them think it was actually going to be a blood bath in the first place is beyond me.
