The one thing I definitely see in Kobe's game that is NOT up to par with Jordans is his creativity to get off a shot. MJ used to glide in the air with 3 defenders up in the air with him and make some of the most amazing reverse layups I have ever seen in my life. Jordan was like a ballerina in the air..so elegant..something I think Kobe does not have. MJ was just sooo athletic.
Percentages are not dependant on how many shots a player takes. To claim Mj's percentage would have gone down if he took more 3's doesn't have any substance. Anyway, Jordan's stats tell the opposite story. In the four seasons where he shot the most 3's his percentage was better. In 1990 he attempted 245 three pointers and shot .376, in 1993 he shot 230 at .352, in 1996 he shot 260 at .427, and 1997 he shot 297 at .374. You could argue if he shot MORE threes his percentage would be better.
just like lebron, jordan is the only player in the history to score 50 pts consistently against good teams. lebron= 7 50 pt games against losing teams. kobe=9 out of 24 50 pt games against winning teams.
I was listening to an interview on Phil Jackson and how He sees the differences of kobe and MJ, he said Kobe is a better jumpshooter, and MJ has bigger hands, which made him unstoppable going into the rim. Mj is still better
@James8107 Just to add to what you mentioned, to me there are 3 key things that Kobe isn't up to par to MJ. It's posting up (obviously cuz MJ is the greatest perimeter post up player to ever play), moving without the ball, and efficiency. It's even worse with Lebron who is so lacking in other aspects of the game.
Lol @ whoever said Kobe could do this in his sleep. Well that must be the only place he can do it, because I've certainly never seen him do it on a basketball court. Kobe's a great player and I've seen him do amazing things, but he never really does anything like this. He's even done things as cool as this... but just not quite this. He doesn't have the hang-time necessary to pull it off.
lol at ur .341 and .327 things. . . kobe took more 3 point shots than michael and kobe is still playing. . if mj took the same 3 pointers as kobe he's percentage will drop to .25
KB42PAH Kobe does this in his sleep. Still nice though. NIGGA ARE YOU CRAZY? i don't think he could do shit against a good defensive team... anyone could pull that shit off against a shitty team...

He was just insane. More than the absurd hangtime and body control, it's the speed of his recognition and the creativity exhibited that are amazing.
I hope that no one ever forgets that he really is the GREATEStT of all time. I wish other generations can know that.
This is awesome.

GOAT.
Awesome hang time move!!!

wtf are you talking about, i love jordan.
wow, check out that old school score display at 0:12
i swear i thought it was in slow motion after he jumped in the beginning.. to me it looked like he floated back down to the ground..

That IS true, but I still don't see Le Bron or ANYONE as good as the almighty Jordan!
oh my god what a shot lol jordan for the win
why do jordan lovers always bring up kobe and diss him like crazy? respect both players because of how hard they work and enjoy the damn game.
@SFO14 MJ was the most fundamentally sound player to play the game. Phil was bullshyttin when he said that.

@hmwillow yp Kobe doesn't even wanna herd of teamwork , when MJ disagned it ...
I mean.... what ?
