I started to notice myself getting this way about money. I spent a good 3 months reading self-help books catered towards building wealth and optimizing finances. It wasn’t until I read ‘I Will Teach You to be Rich’ that I got the message of ‘not living in the spreadsheet.’ Now, I realize that it takes mental clarity to discover that you are already in a place where you have everything that you want and more. Just staying the course is a good way of living if you’re already in a decent spot. Better things are to come. “The fast way is the slow way, and the slow way is the only way”
this is one of my problems back in my 20s. I was so introverted and sheltered that I wanted reinvent myself. These so called "self-help" books do help on certain aspects. It is so hard to implement 10-15 concepts in one day that it creates a facade on what you should do on a daily basis. I stopped reading about 2 years ago. At first, it was scary since I always got a "mental high" on reading these books. Then I realized life is so much more going through it and figuring on what you should cater to your plate as the years went on. What people I want surround with, what kind of work I want to do, how much time I went to put into fitness & diet. My advice is listen to yourself & gut feelings on where life should take you. And never give up on learning more about yourself as the days go on and the people you meet in life
Wow, his advice is actually very realistic because theres a time when i feel like i must do this or that to nake this sitiation better for me. But the more you try and listen to self help, more miserable you feel. And amazingly it all stopped for me many times when i stopped listening to these advices. Moreover when you stop listening to this, your own inner wisdom or voice directs you which definitely makes you feel confident
2:15 as the old saying goes “perfect is the enemy of good”
