Hi Pam, I wish my garden was finished, but it’s a right mess, we have jobs we need to do inside before we can finish the back. The view is lovely though, and we have the cows, sheep, ducks and all kinds throughout the year. Bless your hubby, hahaha you must surprise him one day. You gave us some really good tips for making cupcakes Lynn with some ingredients I’d never have thought of using. Your cakes looked amazing too. I’ve not used boxed cake mix but they may be useful for different flavours. I might try some. I usually stick to my own tried and tested cake recipes which are coffee cake, chocolate cake, fruit tea bread and banana loaf or muffins. I occasionally bake lemon drizzle cake or brownies too. I hope so Carol, it’s nice to give some new ideas, we all get stuck in a rut sometimes don’t we. I know I do. Lemon drizzle, date and walnut, and ginger cake are my favourites, but I like cheesecake and tiramisu as well, oh dear, I like it all hahaha 🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹

I love lemon so would love them but unfortunately I couldn’t have them as I’m coeliac and have to have gluten free and don’t think betty Crocker does gluten free but will need to look. Well they look just yummy,so I ordered some jello from Amazon,and I’m definitely making those, I’m not a fan of butter cream either, but never thought of using Elmlea,and I always have it in the fridge. Yours look very professional though Lynn, mine might not 😏 thank you for showing us. ❤️
Hello there, you will like them I’m certain, especially if you don’t like buttercream frosting. I like to use elmlea because it stays fresh for longer. Oh I’m sure yours will look lovely 🌹❤️🌹
Lynn….I very often use Betty Crocker cake mixes as they are quick and easy and never disappoint……I was a WI member a couple of years back ( our group folded during covid) and when asked to donate a cake I always made a Betty Crocker….ssshhhhh keep that to yourself🤫😂, I sometimes add lemon zest to give a more zingy flavour and choc chips to the chocolate mix, makes it feel more authentic😉. Also my good old faithful hand mixer is 50 years old and still going strong…..it was an engagement present from my brother and I use it regularly……the old ones are the best😉🥰

Hello lovely Lynn 😊 i wouldn't say no to one of those delicious cupcakes and thats coming from a professional baker who does these on a regular basis. I use mascarpone with my buttercream and that cuts out a lot of the sweetness. The list of ideas are endless as far as cupcakes go lol. You do everything so professional along with your heart and soul and for that you are a delight to watch. Fair cheer us all up with that infectious smile and giggle. Weather here is abysmal and would sicken your happiness, hope youre fairing better and everyone enjoyed the party 🎉 much love ❤❤❤

Oh I could go mad with cupcakes, I used to make pineapple and coconut, and I dried slices of pineapple in the oven, and decorated them with cream and the dried slices, they really did look the business. Oh they are Kim, you’ll like that frosting if you’re not a fan of buttercream. Isn’t it a pain getting shoes, we don’t have half as much choice. Exactly, and I’m sure people get fed up of us lol. I’ll still do some, but not as many, and I already don’t do a quarter of what some people do. Aw Thankyou Michele, someone said that there’s 2 kinds of Jello, one has to be cooked, so I don’t know about that, but I’m sure you do. It’s a fabulous way to make frosting, and so much nicer than buttercream in my opinion. Yes I couldn’t believe it when the lady told me that, but then it kinda made sense that they wouldn’t bake on the day, to much to bake, decorate, and serve the customers as well. I’ve tried it, and it works, as long as you make sure they are well sealed, they freeze fine, and defrost at room temp. So no need to eat all 24 in one day hahaha 🤣🌹❤️🌹

I’m a Lancashire lass June, and I call the ones where you slice the top off the bun, cut it in half, and stick the two halves back into the frosting like wings, butterfly cakes. Do you mean those ones, we used to make them at school as well in lessons called house craft. 🌹❤️🌹
Loved this Nanna M, I’m a school baker and I make cakes and puddings all day long for 6 schools can be very stressful at times especially at Christmas time but I love it 💕

That’s a good idea Susan, you could try and let me know how it turns out. I think it’s the powdered jello that helps the frosting to keep its shape when you pipe it, but someone did say that the jello is like our angel delight 🌹❤️🌹
Ooohhhh, I love Angel delight Lynn and often use it in my trifles as a substitute for custard. Another “pudding in a hurry” idea. I think I might try this next time I make cupcakes and I’ll let you know how it goes. 🥰
Hi, my beautiful Petite fashionista. How delicious those cupcakes looked. I have to admit I love lemon and I also love chocolate. They run neck and neck with me. Hubby's favorite, hands down, is lemon. I'm sure there's a way I can make this for him sugar-free?? I know here they sell sugar-free cake mix. I may have to experiment and see what I can come up with. You did a great job on them. I bet they were a hit. A lot of people love lemon flavor. I have to admit, I miss baking so much. But I just can't with hubby, he has no willpower. So I have to keep it out of the house. His blood work did come out wonderful. The Dr. told him to keep up the diet. He put him on a new pill for his cholesterol as a maintenance treatment. Now what that suppose to mean I have no idea. This poor man, Lynn, is on so much medication it's ridiculous. And of course you know every medication, no matter what it is, has side effects. I think a lot of him feeling so poorly a lot of times, has to do with the side effects of all the meds he has to take. I was able to get the upright freezer cleaned out today. It had been needing it for quite some time, and so I finally tackled that today, and also mopped the floors. It stormed again this evening. It's been soooo rainy lately here. And they are keeping an eye on 3 storms that are brewing out in the Atlantic Ocean. So fingers, and eyes and toes and legs and arms crossed, it goes away from land period. It's rare we get hurricanes this early in the season. I know we are looking at, at least, another month before we can get the generator. More thunderstorms for all this week. The grass is growing like crazy because of all the rain. It's OK that Joann called you and you got distracted. But I will say if it had been anyone else, I would have gone over there and heads were going to roll. Tell Joann she doesn't have to worry about me going after her, she gets a pass always, and your son too. But that's it. Did you know that you can also use applesauce in place of the oil in your cupcakes to make it moist? It works great also. So what did everyone think of the cupcakes? I had no idea you couldn't get jello there. I wonder why that is. Putting a pack of Jello pudding mix in your cake mix also to make it a little richer tasting. A lot of people use that in their cake recipes. There are so many ways to doctor up a cake mix. The possibilities are endless. Looking forward to the wedding guests outfits. I just know you are going to do a fabulous job with it. You always do. Congrats on the growth of your channel. It just keeps growing and growing. I am so excited for you. When you hit 6,500 we are going to have to do another happy dance and whoop whoop. So get your dancing shoes on and get ready. Yes, the computer had me stressed out so much. I hate when something goes wrong, and you don't know exactly how to fix it, because you aren't sure what's wrong with it. But I do have a small laptop that I got a few years back, and I rarely use it, but it did come in handy for that, because I could look up what I needed to do on that computer. Hubby's computer is a dinosaur and is soooooo slow, I didn't want to have to get on it. But thank God, I was able to get it back up and running again, and the payoff was a massive stress headache. Hello my darling lady. Lemon drizzle is my favourite, but I also like a tiramisu. Maybe they do a sugar free Jello, if so most definitely, but is he supposed to watch how much carbohydrates he eats as well ? Not sure 🤔 poor man he must miss his treats, I’m happy that his bloods are fine though, that’s always a relief I’m sure. Probably the maintenance tablets just to help keep it steady. I could do with sorting my freezer out, I bet there’s stuff in there that I’ve had a year lol. It rained all day Saturday and again on Sunday, it’s dry at the moment so we shall see what the day brings. I’ll keep everything crossed for you except my eyes, I need them just now to answer comments hahaha, but seriously I don’t know how you cope with hurricanes, I would be scared out my wits. I don’t even like thunderstorms. Oh I couldn’t believe it when I realised what I’d done, chit chatting away haha, I mean in retrospect I could have taken the frosting off one cupcake and done it again, but I didn’t think at the time, I think my brain had shut down for a moment. It can do that sometimes, the obvious seems to escape me now and again. She’ll be happy to know you’ve let her off haha 😂 no I didn’t know you could use applesauce, that’s a fab idea, there are so many lovely baking ideas that come from the USA, 🇺🇸 we even copied calling our buns cupcakes off America. They went down very well, and I was so good, I didn’t any more, just the one that ate on film. I watch a lot of baking on RUclips, and I’ve seen people use the Jello a lot. I’ll definitely be ordering some more and having a play around with it. My dancing shoes are on standby haha 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽 can’t wait. I would be the same with mine, I often can’t do something and so I watch how to fix it, or learn a new skill on RUclips. It’s a lovely feeling when you conquer it, and it starts to work again. Your blood pressure must have gone sky high and that’s why you got a headache. I’m glad it gone now though. I had a nice time at the party even though it rained, they had a big gazebo up in the garden so we were able to stay dry. I have shopped at thrift shops, and my best buy was a Jacket, it’s a very light bohemian style, I wore it in my one pair of jeans 7 ways video. Make sure you get the instant Jello pudding. There is also one that has to be cooked. Sometimes we put the instant pudding in with the cake mix and also use it for the frosting. The pistachio is really good. Also there is My-T-Fine pudding mix. Same thing. I haven't done this in years. Now I want to again.

Lynn….I very often use Betty Crocker cake mixes as they are quick and easy and never disappoint……I was a WI member a couple of years back ( our group folded during covid) and when asked to donate a cake I always made a Betty Crocker….ssshhhhh keep that to yourself🤫😂, I sometimes add lemon zest to give a more zingy flavour and choc chips to the chocolate mix, makes it feel more authentic😉. Also my good old faithful hand mixer is 50 years old and still going strong…..it was an engagement present from my brother and I use it regularly……the old ones are the best😉🥰

Hello lovely Lynn 😊 i wouldn't say no to one of those delicious cupcakes and thats coming from a professional baker who does these on a regular basis. I use mascarpone with my buttercream and that cuts out a lot of the sweetness. The list of ideas are endless as far as cupcakes go lol. You do everything so professional along with your heart and soul and for that you are a delight to watch. Fair cheer us all up with that infectious smile and giggle. Oh they are Kim, you’ll like that frosting if you’re not a fan of buttercream. Isn’t it a pain getting shoes, we don’t have half as much choice. Exactly, and I’m sure people get fed up of us lol. I’ll still do some, but not as many, and I already don’t do a quarter of what some people do. Aw Thankyou Michele, someone said that there’s 2 kinds of Jello, one has to be cooked, so I don’t know about that, but I’m sure you do. It’s a fabulous way to make frosting, and so much nicer than buttercream in my opinion. Yes I couldn’t believe it when the lady told me that, but then it kinda made sense that they wouldn’t bake on the day, to much to bake, decorate, and serve the customers as well. I’ve tried it, and it works, as long as you make sure they are well sealed, they freeze fine, and defrost at room temp. So no need to eat all 24 in one day hahaha 🤣🌹❤️🌹

That’s a good idea Susan, you could try and let me know how it turns out. I think it’s the powdered jello that helps the frosting to keep its shape when you pipe it, but someone did say that the jello is like our angel delight 🌹❤️🌹

Hi, my beautiful Petite fashionista. How delicious those cupcakes looked. I have to admit I love lemon and I also love chocolate. They run neck and neck with me. Hubby's favorite, hands down, is lemon. I'm sure there's a way I can make this for him sugar-free?? I know here they sell sugar-free cake mix. I may have to experiment and see what I can come up with. You did a great job on them. I bet they were a hit. A lot of people love lemon flavor. I have to admit, I miss baking so much. But I just can't with hubby, he has no willpower. So I have to keep it out of the house. His blood work did come out wonderful. The Dr. told him to keep up the diet. He put him on a new pill for his cholesterol as a maintenance treatment. Now what that suppose to mean I have no idea. This poor man, Lynn, is on so much medication it's ridiculous. And of course you know every medication, no matter what it is, has side effects. I think a lot of him feeling so poorly a lot of times, has to do with the side effects of all the meds he has to take. I was able to get the upright freezer cleaned out today. It had been needing it for quite some time, and so I finally tackled that today, and also mopped the floors. It stormed again this evening. It's been soooo rainy lately here. And they are keeping an eye on 3 storms that are brewing out in the Atlantic Ocean. So fingers, and eyes and toes and legs and arms crossed, it goes away from land period. It's rare we get hurricanes this early in the season. I know we are looking at, at least, another month before we can get the generator. More thunderstorms for all this week. The grass is growing like crazy because of all the rain. It's OK that Joann called you and you got distracted. But I will say if it had been anyone else, I would have gone over there and heads were going to roll. Tell Joann she doesn't have to worry about me going after her, she gets a pass always, and your son too. But that's it. Did you know that you can also use applesauce in place of the oil in your cupcakes to make it moist? It works great also. So what did everyone think of the cupcakes? I had no idea you couldn't get jello there. I wonder why that is. Putting a pack of Jello pudding mix in your cake mix also to make it a little richer tasting. A lot of people use that in their cake recipes. There are so many ways to doctor up a cake mix. The possibilities are endless. Looking forward to the wedding guests outfits. I just know you are going to do a fabulous job with it. You always do. Congrats on the growth of your channel. It just keeps growing and growing. I am so excited for you. When you hit 6,500 we are going to have to do another happy dance and whoop whoop. So get your dancing shoes on and get ready. Yes, the computer had me stressed out so much. I hate when something goes wrong, and you don't know exactly how to fix it, because you aren't sure what's wrong with it. But I do have a small laptop that I got a few years back, and I rarely use it, but it did come in handy for that, because I could look up what I needed to do on that computer. Hubby's computer is a dinosaur and is soooooo slow, I didn't want to have to get on it. But thank God, I was able to get it back up and running again, and the payoff was a massive stress headache. Hello my darling lady. Lemon drizzle is my favourite, but I also like a tiramisu. Maybe they do a sugar free Jello, if so most definitely, but is he supposed to watch how much carbohydrates he eats as well ? Not sure 🤔 poor man he must miss his treats, I’m happy that his bloods are fine though, that’s always a relief I’m sure. Probably the maintenance tablets just to help keep it steady. I could do with sorting my freezer out, I bet there’s stuff in there that I’ve had a year lol. It rained all day Saturday and again on Sunday, it’s dry at the moment so we shall see what the day brings. I’ll keep everything crossed for you except my eyes, I need them just now to answer comments hahaha, but seriously I don’t know how you cope with hurricanes, I would be scared out my wits. I don’t even like thunderstorms. Oh I couldn’t believe it when I realised what I’d done, chit chatting away haha, I mean in retrospect I could have taken the frosting off one cupcake and done it again, but I didn’t think at the time, I think my brain had shut down for a moment. It can do that sometimes, the obvious seems to escape me now and again. They went down very well, and I was so good, I didn’t any more, just the one that ate on film. I watch a lot of baking on RUclips, and I’ve seen people use the Jello a lot. I’ll definitely be ordering some more and having a play around with it. My dancing shoes are on standby haha 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽 can’t wait. I would be the same with mine, I often can’t do something and so I watch how to fix it, or learn a new skill on RUclips. It’s a lovely feeling when you conquer it, and it starts to work again. Your blood pressure must have gone sky high and that’s why you got a headache. I’m glad it gone now though. I had a nice time at the party even though it rained, they had a big gazebo up in the garden so we were able to stay dry. Make sure you get the instant Jello pudding. There is also one that has to be cooked. Sometimes we put the instant pudding in with the cake mix and also use it for the frosting. The pistachio is really good. Also there is My-T-Fine pudding mix. Same thing. I haven't done this in years. Now I want to again.
