Morning Lynn, you didn’t waffle on, it was interesting to hear you answer the questions. I’ve done a capsule wardrobe since I started watching you and also go for neutral colours and I’ve bought a few navy things and white too. So much better than all the flowery things I had because I liked but never wore 🙄 Shoes are my biggest problem with my bunions. The joys of being getting older eh. x
Aw thank you, I enjoyed chatting to you all. I love my capsule wardrobe, it’s so much easier to choose an outfit now. And may I suggest a site called sole,bliss, they cater for bunions, a bit expensive though, but maybe something to consider ❤️❤️❤️
@@Nanna-M Thanks Lynn, you have mentioned them to me before, I had a look but I think it was those that were a bit out of my price range. I know I’m going to have to pay over £100 though. Actually I might be talking about Calla shoes, I can’t think. I’ll definitely have another look though. At least we can wear white trainers with dresses these days….. I’ve ordered some sandals from M&S so 🤞 they’ll be ok. I forgot to say about you being a carer too, it’s the most wonderful job, my husband was in a care home and they were all absolutely wonderful. x
I worked as a technologist in the hospital 🏥 lab for over 25 years, I worked night shift for 13 years I thought it would be better for my kids but it nearly killed and I still have effects from it.
Oh I know exactly, night kill you don’t they, and I walked miles every night, no wonder my legs complained.. we did it because we loved it though didn’t we. ❤️❤️❤️

Lynn, definitely not boring.....far from it, I love to hear about peoples lives, its so interesting ! I"m the same age as you, born in June 1956, also left school at 15, trained as a nurse in the RAF, and had a career working on Neonatal Intensive Care, in the Middle East 😃,and retired a year early, at 66!! Live on the south coast now xx

Wow, we have a lot in common, I’ll bet you had some hard times on the neonatal intensive care wards. My son’s partner is a midwife, and she’s had some harrowing situations. Oh I’ll bet it’s so lovely there where you live ❤️❤️❤️

Sketchers and Moda in pelle are my go to for comfort trainers. Lol I hated school, missed the 15 leaving age and had to stay on till 16. My nails break easy and I now get builder gel every few weeks. really interesting Lynn I'm not surprised you worked in care you're a most delightful lady & it shines through .. I also worked in care was a senior care, assistant un till I had to leave early just before my 60th having hurt my back .. I've since had a back operation & a knee replacement I'm now 70 ... care work ins, a very demanding underpaid job but like nursing it's a vocation I loved my job like you... care work is so underrated the responsibility is huge ... You’re very nice to say that Beverley. Oh dear, I hope your back isn’t still bad. It sure is, very demanding indeed, but very rewarding. I was in charge, and responsible for 50 elderly on the night shift, and my 1st night in charge someone passed away, honestly, talk about being thrown in at the deep end, and nowhere near enough staff either, but we all mucked in and helped each other. Hi Lynn really enjoyed your Q&A you are a very natural communicator. We had very similar careers in care. I smiled when you talked about giving up watching the news. Great vlog ! Very interesting - especially liked hearing about your job - very responsible type of work. Always like to hear how folk managed their children along with working. I had 2 children and ended up working late night shifts because my husband could be there to help. Was very glad to give up night work for daytime shifts after about 15 years when the girls were old enough to look after themselves more or less. They are both late 30’s now and I am working 10 flexible hrs p wk since the start of the month and loving it. Being Scottish, first dinner party choice would be billy connelly really - riotously funny, and then a superchef - to conjour up the best food ( well, cakes and scones and lovely desserts !). 😊
Thank you Veronica, yes very responsible, but I loved it. I worked nights when I had my 1st child for about 6 months, I just lost out on 2 nights sleep every week, I was exhausted, so my husband said if I gave up smoking, I could give up work, so I gave my notice in immediately lol. Stayed at home for 10years and looked after the children. Oh I bet you feel free, 10 hrs is manageable. Oh I love Billy Connolly, hahaha you chose well ❤️❤️❤️

This was really interesting finding all about you Lynn, thank you. My niece is a prescribing support technician and also covers various medical practices. My last 10 years of my working life I worked in NHS Regional Quality Assurance Services as a technician assistant, loved it, didn’t retire until I 68. You were just made for the jobs you have done Lynn, amazing caring personality ❤xx

Hi Lynn, I can relate to lots that you have mentioned. Certainly the clothes part haha. I love them. Comfort is one of biggest parts. I don’t smoke or drink only socially so I spend my money on what I want if not on our grandchildren. My husband just lets me get on with it. Bless him. Again like you if something bugs me I have to figure it out, persevere until I am happy. Certainly learnt lots that way. I have really enjoyed this Q & A. Thankyou Lynn,loved the q and a.i told you about my heart monitor 24hrs.result was I have a few problems , but treatable with tablets.i am going to aqua exercise twice a week ,it seems to help with knee and hip arthritis also.and chatting to people is helping a bit since my Chris passed away..looking forward to your next.Sue
