OMG!!! Another perfect video. This series is exactly what I needed. I wish it would have been around 5 years ago. To anyone new to Russian, there will come a time when this series will change your life quickly. I have tried many verb courses, all good in one way or the other, but this series, along with the Russian conjugation course is the magic bullet for UNDERSTANDING Russian verbs. Among other things, it was brilliant to use simple vocabulary, semi repetitively so you can concentrate on the verb (and pronoun) rather than learning other words. This keeps you from getting wrapped up in deciphering the end of the sentence. I looked at some of my reading materials and this absolutely worked. I had already highlighted occurrences of this particular pair (and others) all over the place and was trying to distinguish what made them different. After watching this, I went and looked and all the ones I looked at were crystal clear where they were ambiguous before.
Look at verb, determine whether a completed action, determine if past tense then interpret. Another skill this brought to light is looking for a question mark, if there the phrase it correctly. There are a few resources that really get the job done. This is one of them.

I’m now 150 days straight learning Russian. I’m really enjoying it! It’s not easy, but put in at least an hour a day and making it a long-term goal to speak it the best I can. These videos really help me, thank you!

This format of taking one verb, imperfective and perfective and looking at them from all kinds of angles is brilliance 🫂

A lot more. These solved a problem I have been working on in background for several years. Now I have broken thru. The fog has been lifted.
