New to EVs in general so apologies if this question is dumb. If I got one of these I'd want to prioritize making it last as long as possible. Brake pads are easy to replace so I'm not really concerned about saving those. Does using regen to slow the bike down when descending or coming to a stop put accelerated wear on the power/drive components? Is it better for the longevity of the bike to just use the brakes instead?
Not really, its dangerous. The bikes are so torque you can eat mega shiiii if its disconnected and you make a mistake. I crashed 2x deleting it and now keep it connected
@@octowoomyg6672 the brake sensor makes it if you hit the brake it cuts off the throttle...its a safety feature that some people take off because it makes the bike easier to ride a wheelie (hitting brake and throttle at same time) we do not recommend removing brake sensor however.
Is that legit? I'm in Canada, and my bike didn't come with it either. Nowhere online can I find that info, but that's what the supplier is telling my local dealer - "only on demo bikes" @lunacyclerepair
Thank you very much for making these videos. They are very helpful!
How beneficial is the regen function? Does it put much back into the battery?
Great hack!!

I personally find the regen so helpful tho helps you not go thru brake pads non stop
no it does not... in fact the biggest plus to regen is it minimizes brake pad wear....

Does the brake sensor just make it so if the front wheel lifts the bike automatically hits the brake or could someone please explain it to me
