My grandmother taught me to crochet and knitt, and I have been doing so for many, many years but I'd never heard of the C2C stitch. I love the pattern, will download very soon and can't wait to try it! In this month of November, so grateful for the beautiful ideas, yarns and sentiments you bring us weekly! ❤❤

Oh wow this is beautiful. Never thought that a C2C could be so beautifully rendered in this way. C2C was my first time crochet when my mother taught me to do a blanket. I had never crochet before that and from there I tried to learn from magazines of patterns that I liked. My mother never learned how to read patterns, it was taught by her mother. So she was impressed that I was able to learn just by looking at pictures in the back of the magazines that showed the crochet stitches.

Absolutely a lovely shawl! I can see myself wearing it on vacation with my husband, walking barefoot along the beach after dinner under the moonlight with the ocean breeze in the air.
On another note, I learned the corner to corner pattern years ago, and made stadium blankets for my kids and niece using their school colors. I even donated a stadium blanket in school colors for the band raffle when my kids were in high school. The winner was much appreciative!
Adding the lacey section makes it just so next level elegant and the added use of a larger hook to open up the stitches more...I can't think of a better warm weather elegant look. To do piece for myself list item #1 has just been found. 🙂
