I liked how Channel 7's report on the end of analog included some excerpts from the retrospective that they had on the analog channel just before it went off. That was a nice touch.
I remember that day because I wanted to watch all the channels switch off but I had to go to our school step-up program thing back then :P can't believe it was nearly 10 years ago already
Analog....the final FINAL....well, you know the rest....but you see where it's going, right? It's hard to believe it's been 14 years ago, 2009, that the End of the Analog Era took a 4 year journey to its shutdown / sunset that started here in the United States...and in the words of the Daft Punk classic, went Around the World to usher in the Digital Era...and almost 10 years ago, the....ahem....okay, I'll say it, the Digital Trek, ended in Australia and in Melbourne, the last city to do so....(papers rusting), I think I got much of it right....😅...anyway. And it's amazing that even in the era of streaming services, Digital has grown and advanced in so many ways, now in 4K and 8K varients. And that's where we are now. What a time that was, glad that we were ALL there to see the historic transition. ( Disclaimer: I WAS going to say that it ( Digital ).....again, you see where it's going...I'll leave it at that, PERIOD, end of story. A neatly bold ( hint! ), but nice comment on the End of Analog TV, in Australia, and the rest of the World. ) Now where's the clicker, I mean REMOTE..a little TV before work never hurts 😊.
