At 15:35 you had me laughing because you reminded me so much of Julia Child when she would have a mishap, she would just roll with it. I love how natural and genuine you are!
Never heard of "fluffing roses"! Also didn't realize gerbera daisies need be trimmed at least 2" up the stem and should be in water when cutting. Thanks for sharing your gardening expertise! Turned out so beautiful!!!!
Laura I actually like to see you doing flower arrangements in just normal speed, not speed up. It’s relaxing and have nice music in the background. You never bore me.
If you tap on her video you can change the playback speed by tapping the three small dots on the top right corner, then tap the payback speed , then you can change it to faster or slower .
I agree. I really enjoy not only seeing how the product comes together but learning from how Laura thinks through how the creation is made. For creatives, it's just something that happens. Sometimes it's hard to explain why you are doing what you are doing as sometimes it just "looks or feels right".
Beautiful! I am a florist and just getting off a week of mostly red, white and pinks for Valentine's day...this bright yellow arrangement is so refreshing! I love it!💛 The tailored roses add such a nice mass to a design!
I never would have considered this from your perspective. I can only imagine how dull it must get working with the same colors over and over and over again, lol.
@Shelly, I myself am getting tired of the traditional red bouquets for Valentine’s Day so at my local fine foods store I had the florist help me create a beautiful bouquet of white fragrant flowers, white berries , light blue flowers, lime green flowers and foliage to brighten up the frigid temperatures and keep me patience for spring weather!
Shelly, I know what you mean ! I'm not a fan or red either, so I tried to use a lot of burgundy with various shades of pink. Also not a fan of Baby's Breath in arrangements which people seem to love in VD arrangements ! Really looking forward to this week as we march towards spring !
A gardener and a teacher, so down to earth and keeping it real. I love that about you and Aaron. I enjoyed my garden so much more since I have been watching Garden Answer. It is my happy place and my escape. I have even been able to help others with their garden questions because of learning so much from you. I am so glad you persevered through your first year in filming and continued to a place to be such a help to so many of us.
I enjoyed the "slow version" of the video much better than when everything is sped up, especially with the flower arranging. Even in the beginning putting in the greens could have been in regular time for me. Beautiful arrangement.
I think she might just not remember to use them. There are plenty of turn tables heavy duty enough that if one she already has doesn't work, she could find others easily, if she wanted to. 🙂
You know - this right here (you crawling out from under the table and Aaron laughing) is what makes your videos so endearing to so many people. Your "realness"; your willingness to show you diving for a rolling lime and hitting your head on the table coming up; your "mistakes". We can relate. Or, at least I can relate and I appreciate that.
I was watching with rapt attention and thoroughly enjoying this THEN you dropped the ‘rogue lime’ banged your head on the table and I knew you were my kind of people - I couldn’t hit SUBSCRIBE fast enough! Gorgeous arrangement, wonderful presentation, authentic lovely you!
JavaAndJunket, you will love Laura's videos. Since you are a new subscriber, you might want to watch some of her other videos of the property and her gardens. If you love gardening, you'll be binge watching like I did last year when COVID hit.
Wouldn’t have thought to use something with such a wide opening as a vessel, but now after watching your video, you’ve inspired me to give it a try. Thanks
Oh my Laura you had me laughing out loud. See I'm naturally a clumsy person and for you to leave your bloopers in made me feel normal. Even when Aaron filmed you coming out the sun room under the table that would be so me. So Thank-you both for the smile and great video today. I live in Houston Texas and we have a severe winter storm here that us Texans aren't use to so its been pretty stressful. So seriously Thank-you for being a rain of sunshine to me!! You've been my inspiration in my new adventures of gardening in the past year going on 2 now and I'm so ready for spring. God bless you and your family!
It’s just to remind you that there are FOUR seasons... hahaha Hang in there, it’ll be 100 degrees again before you know it! ☀️ (my fave place in the world is Big Bend)
Isn't that the truth! Than I will be asking when's the cooler weather coming back. Lol I've never been to big bend I will have to check it out. Thank-you for the encouragement and may you and your family be safe and blessed!!
My husband gave me a small (five) bunch of red roses for Valentine's Day. He said he's a sucker for marketing. As soon as I finished watching this video, I got up and adjusted the petals just as Laura instructed. The transformation to the flowers was spectacular. It made them look double their size and more vibrant in hue than they already are. I also never noticed that the inside of a red rose petal has a beautiful sheen. Just stunning. I placed the flowers in a narrow crystal vase imbued with birds and red glass, which I have from my late mum. Babies breath was incorporated in the bunch - but I removed them and placed them in a separate small alabaster vase, with no water, to allow them to naturally dry. Gorgeous. I now have a new found perspective of roses. Thank you, Laura. Love from Sydney, Australia.
'I'll do whatever it takes man...' 😂 best statement I have heard so far this year..👍. Yes I agree Laura you are the best and as beautiful as the lovely arrangements you make.
Good morning Laura, I'm a. retired florist so I love watching you and your Mom design. Because we were a retail flower shop we used Oasis on most of our arrangements. We did use the tape grid if we were designing vase arrangements. When you are doing "kitchen arrangements" you can add all that water. But picture a driver with your arrangement in the back of his delivery vase making a sharp turn🤯 Your arrangement is so lovely and beautiful so nice lesson. As always, thanks for taking us along on your day👩🌾👍💕 Peggy Helbling's Garden What You've Got
Why would anyone not like this video? I don't get people sometimes. Very beautiful arrangement simplified for anyone to do and you have a very refreshing presentation style. Keep them coming!
Agreed! I think it's jealousy. Some people's actions sadden me, and more than ever these days unfortunately, but people giving a thumbs down on videos with sweet Benjamin and her new baby I'll never understand! I love how Laura is always positive, real and down to earth, and funny. She mentioned in one of her videos one time about when you have a million subscribers, you're going to get some hate along with it. She currently has 1.12 million subscribers now and a tiny speck of about 80ish haters is pretty darn great! I believe this world will be a better place if our actions show the proof of God's love.
I never would have thought to "hand sculpt" a rose like you did with bending the outer petals and opening up the center. Really made a beautiful form. TY Laura :)
was contemplating on whether i should make a flower arrangement for my grandmother's birthday tomorrow and a notification for this video coincidentally popped up! I guess this is THE sign haha
Beautiful sunny arrangement, looks an old fashioned art print. I know you have a turntable but I know it can cause you to over think 🤔. You Laura have a gift and you share it with us. Thank you.
-43 below windchill in MN last weekend. All I wanted to do was sit by the fireplace and binge Laura videos. I saw some oldies, but goodies! So much fun to see the garden / yard transformations. Very inspirational!
Beautiful Laura❣️ That looks like a vase full of SUNSHINE 🌞❣️ It’s kinda depressing when I take down my Christmas decor & an arrangement like this is perfect for adding something cheerful back into our home.
What a beautiful combination of flowers and spring color palette. “Rouge lime,” and the under the table crawl, made me laugh. You and Aaron gotta have a ton of goof moments for a bloopers video. We want it! Many blessings everyone!
The whole frozen country enjoyed this sunshiny video! My friend Leah is especially happy that you love the beautiful bowl she sent you! Thanks to Aaron for leaving in the bump on the head! We all needed that laugh---not AT you, Laura, but because it's so REAL and human! Makes us love you even more!
She has received a couple that I've seen in mail time videos. She once said she didn't use it because her vessel was oblong, not sure why she's not using it in this one.
Thank you for the slowed down version! I needed slower to understand. Always love the final results and always leave inspired. Putting my Instacart order of flowers in now 😁
As always, you taught this "old dog" some new tricks! Fluffing roses, 2" on the gereberas...didn't know! Thanks for the detailed version. Really helps. PS Loved your exit!! Glad Aaron kept that in.
The rose tip is groundbreaking!! I've never heard of that or thought that you could manipulate the blooms in that way. Thank you! I got a lot of flowers for my birthday in the beginning of the month and totally inspired by you combined the bouquets and created one massive arrangement. I've had to pop a few blooms out but the majority of it is still going and I love it so much!
You bring such joy to all of us. Aaron adding that last part had me smiling ear to ear. Thanks guys. -6 feels like -26 in the Texas Panhandle. Needed this today.
Wow. That was so cute Laura. I taught me something new about opening up and adjusting the petals on the roses. Just beautiful and love how you placed the lime on then rose stems - very resourceful.
What a great video! Lovely arrangement! I didn't know you can open roses like that! Will definitely be trying that method. Great ending with you crawling out from under the table. 😂👍💚
Thank you to you and Aaron for these videos. They really inspire me and provide a great version of entertainment when we are feeling low or need a moment of creativity. I don't know what it takes for these videos to happen, but I am so thankful that they do! You both do such a great job and I literally look forward to your videos!!
Good morning! Coffee with Laura, with a few smiles and chuckles. "Everything's fine here" lol! That would be me, I always have a bumble somewhere. Thanks for a very informative video. Love, love, love the arrangement.
I love the way you incorporated the limes! Especially the one on the table next to the arrangement. This video inspired me to make an arrangement out of the bouquet of flowers my boyfriend gave me yesterday for Valentine’s Day. Thank you! 😊🌻
Floral preservative should sit for 24 hours before you use it. I keep six 2 liter bottle full at all times so I have it ready to go. If you just put it in the water and do the arrangement the undissolved pieces can clog the stems. Flowers from the grocery store need to be rehydrated. They many have sat on a truck for a week in their box, in a back room, or water wasn't kept fresh once they made it to the floor. This is a good rule of thumb for all flowers and greens except for roses. Fill you sink and submerge as much as you can for 20 minutes. Take them out and gently shake them off. Cut the fresh stem once you put them in the arrangement. This will help the life of the flower greatly. Laura, was that Stock or Snapdragons you added? I've never seen you grow Gerbera Daisies. Do they not grow in your area ? Love - the lemons in the arrangement !
My God, you are an incredible talent. What can't you do? You really need your own TV show or something. That arrangement is so, so stunning 😍 you're also an excellent teacher. 👏
Beautiful! I don't know why but it is very relaxing to sit with my cup of coffee and watch your videos. I even decided to start some seeds for tomatoes this year. I don't even have a garden. Who have I become?
Thank you for not fast forwarding. I would rather see these in real time when you do arrangements. I learn more in slow-mo 😂. Plus I love you left in the head bump and the exiting of the sun porch 😊 love it - real life.
I think it’s great that you buy and use flowers from other sources . Your arrangement is beautiful , I’ve learned so much from your method of cutting each variety. Thanks Arron for funny exit 😂
This was so helpful Laura.. I have grown plenty of cut flowers in my garden (thanks to you and your channel 😊) and this is GORGEOUS!! This made so much sense , making the structure of how you want it to flow with the greenery first!! THANK YOU!! Now if OHIO ever decides to STOP snowing Spring may very well come!!😜
Oh Laura, you’re the best! Your flower arrangement is so fresh and pretty. We’ve had over a week of round the clock sub-zero temperatures, so flowers may not even survive the cold going from the store to the car right now. You are very talented and a terrific teacher. Thanks for showing us each step and telling more about the blooms. I love how you didn’t edit out fetching the rollaway lime and bonking the table or crawling under the table to exit, because every bit of that is so relatable. I did laugh when you popped up and said, “everything’s fine”, and I admire how you didn’t skip a beat. I would have had a hard time not giggling about it but you quickly composed yourself. 🤗❤️
It really was so helpful for you to say where you would place those three mums, roses, etc because then I could visualize that offset of balance you were going for. I always make the mistake of being to symmetrical in my arrangements! I also loved that rule of working in the larger pieces first, and working down in size. Learning again, I’m always saving the focal pieces for last because I don’t want all that other bulk to cover them up! But this changes my perspective! Thank you Laura!!! (And Aaron and crew of course)
Found your site last year, went back and watched from the beginning and have marvelled at your amazing journey. You are an inspiration to all , I love your enthusiasm, your dedication to your family and your home and gardens. It gives new meaning to Follow your heart, love what you do and success will follow.
Laura in Normal playback speed is refreshing! Thank you for taking time to make this arrangement. It gives beginners like me confidence to glam up store bought flowers.
Girlfriend, what happened to that lazy susan someone sent you? If you use that then you can turn it to see the front when you need. I about spit my coffee when you bumped your head. 😆 The arrangement turned out beautiful and I really enjoyed seeing it in real time not sped up. You guys are the best.😊
This is perfect timing and instruction! I took the roses from my Valentine’s arrangement my sweet husband brought home and opened the blooms. The look went from beautiful to stunning. Thank you for the extra tips and slower video...much appreciated!
I so enjoyed this instructional video. Your flower arrangements are always stunning and seeing your process is really helpful. Loved the colors in this one.
On display, your arrangement looks like a Dutch master painting. Garden Answer videos are timeless. What an amazing brand you two have created and gifted to gardeners everywhere. Thank you.
Gorgeous! And both inspirational and informative. Since I’ve been watching you mine have improved tremendously, so thank you from the bottom of my heart or actually vase. Cute exit. Love that you keep it real.
Believe that she is always with you when you just think of her. Feel her, embrace her, love her further. Don't stop ever. She is around you blessing and protecting you. I feel so much my sweet mom with me.
Wow! Watching the creation of this arrangement brought me so much joy this morning! The colours are so cheerful and the whole arrangement just made me smile! I love the vintage feel this video has - the tablecloth was beautiful. I loved all the little tips about how and where to cut the flowers and even to how you flipped the pedals of the roses. These tips were so helpful and some new to me! Makes me want to go and pick out a ton of flowers and make one myself. Thank you!
It is therapeutic seeing you, I found a soup tureen in an antique store, beautiful and my thought was to make a flower arrangement with It. I loved every part of this video don't make it short, thanks.
I love when you do these instructional videos with arrangements and wreaths! I don't think you realize what a great eye you have. I also love that you (Aaron) keep in the funny little things that really show your personality instead of trying to look perfect all the time. Thanks for the inspiration!
At 15:35 you had me laughing because you reminded me so much of Julia Child when she would have a mishap, she would just roll with it. I love how natural and genuine you are!
Reminded me of Julia Child also! Fun moment.
Do I remember she dropped a chicken on the floor once???
What a wonderful performer she is!

It would take too long. She may post the slow one on her Highlights channel and the speedier here.

Invest in a turntable so you can spin it around without moving the camera and show us all sides. Plus you can see your progress as you go!
She has one but never seems to use it (or it's the wrong size, etc.).
She has at least two of the down under ones but doesn’t seam to use them
The vases she uses are too heavy, the turntable doesn’t move. If someone can recommend a heavy duty turntable, that’ll be more helpful.
I think she might just not remember to use them. There are plenty of turn tables heavy duty enough that if one she already has doesn't work, she could find others easily, if she wanted to. 🙂
She has two 😂
You did that without a front view!!!

Thank you for not fast forwarding. I would rather see these in real time when you do arrangements. I learn more in slow-mo 😂. Plus I love you left in the head bump and the exiting of the sun porch 😊 love it - real life.
'meant to be a therapeutic thing' love the wry irony of that statement 😂 thanks Laura.
I think it’s great that you buy and use flowers from other sources . Your arrangement is beautiful , I’ve learned so much from your method of cutting each variety. Thanks Arron for funny exit 😂
When you said "It's supposed to be therapeutic." I thought you sounded like your mom. I wonder over the years how many times she told you that?
I learn so much from you. My soul is lifted from your arrangement
This was so helpful Laura.. I have grown plenty of cut flowers in my garden (thanks to you and your channel 😊) and this is GORGEOUS!! This made so much sense , making the structure of how you want it to flow with the greenery first!! THANK YOU!! Now if OHIO ever decides to STOP snowing Spring may very well come!!😜
Can’t wait to start gardening this year
This channel, white cottage company, and New England fine living, are the channels that relax me.
Thats a beautiful arrangement, great job! Love the bowl too. 😋
You are so talented! The arrangement is beautiful!
That looks amazing, thank you for the inspiration! We would love to see more behind the scenes 😅 and going live anytime soon?
Livestreaming on RUclips is awful. The worst quality video you could produce.
Found your site last year, went back and watched from the beginning and have marvelled at your amazing journey. You are an inspiration to all , I love your enthusiasm, your dedication to your family and your home and gardens. It gives new meaning to Follow your heart, love what you do and success will follow.
..... aah ..... Mellow Yellow, My Fave.
Yep, I identified with that thump! 😬😁
This is perfect timing and instruction! I took the roses from my Valentine’s arrangement my sweet husband brought home and opened the blooms. The look went from beautiful to stunning. Thank you for the extra tips and slower video...much appreciated!
I love seeing the sun porch as a backdrop but didn't you guys just build a beautiful studio for this kind of thing? 😆
I was thinking the same thing, but the sun porch really makes for a beautiful/homey background.
Maybe they needed to be close to the kids?
I so enjoyed this instructional video. Your flower arrangements are always stunning and seeing your process is really helpful. Loved the colors in this one.
Gorgeous! You need a mirror in front of you so you can see what you're doing.😄
Bright cheery arrangement! Never knew you could do that to the Rose's learn something new from Laura!
I feel like I need to head to Trader Joe’s today for fresh flowers.
Great prices, good selection, and their stock is usually really fresh !
On display, your arrangement looks like a Dutch master painting. Garden Answer videos are timeless. What an amazing brand you two have created and gifted to gardeners everywhere. Thank you.
Am I the only one saying you were given a lazy Susan Use it to see what your doing 😜
Yes that's what I thought too
Gorgeous! And both inspirational and informative. Since I’ve been watching you mine have improved tremendously, so thank you from the bottom of my heart or actually vase. Cute exit. Love that you keep it real.
I can't thank you enough for doing a much slower, step-by-step video of putting together an arrangement! Even loved seeing you bonk the table. 😄 💗💗💗
Hi 🙋♀️
I wish my mother would still alive...
Love your mothers, people, and treasure and be grateful to them all the time!
Believe that she is always with you when you just think of her. Feel her, embrace her, love her further. Don't stop ever. She is around you blessing and protecting you. I feel so much my sweet mom with me.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! The flowers are so beautiful.
We are in a severe winter storm here with artic air. The flowers warm my soul.
The trick with opening the roses is totally new to me. Such a beautiful arrangement...again!
Beautiful! So that's how to fluff roses. Thanks for teaching me that!
🌤Sunrise in a vase.. what a breathe of fresh air 🌬 Thanks for sharing 😊🙏🏽
