I have being playing drums from a young age. Whenever I feel I am losing inspiration I listen to Tony Williams and everything is alright with the world again. Simply the best drummer to ever pick up a pair of sticks! His legacy will last forever because he is irreplaceable. I also miss the wonderful musicians in his band. Wow! what inspirational players they were too!
I watched this video years ago, now in 2024 out of the blue, i just wanted to hear this again after many moons and its great to till have access to it .... thanks for sharing
+Navroze contractor Exactly. Tony looked so happy and healthy. This was a great group and Tony really loved their company and their total commitment to the music. We lost a genius way too soon. I am just amazed at this venue. Kinda almost looks like a private party. The camera work and the sound is great.
As Bruce Lee said of Muhammad Ali being the future of boxing when Ali didn't even have a license to box, so too is Tony Williams the future of drumming. Right now.
