You have 6000 subscribers and >500 daily views in your videos... and like 30 people who play in the contests. Several regular commenters don't even play in the contests and frequently comment on how they fail most of the time. I would say most of your audience find even the "easy" Connections difficult. If you address your whole audience as though they were the prize winners, I can see how it might alienate the rest of your audience.
Again, you ALWAYS land on your feet, Art, and have me beat in Connections by a mile. This ONE AWAY individual has his strengths in Wordle, landscaping/plants, bowling, swimming, and language arts among many other things. EVERYONE has his/her own strengths to offer in helping others. 😊
@@chinareds54Well said! 😊 If I were an outstanding player instead of just an OK/average player with these games, I would be in these tournaments. Perhaps ten years from now if you guys are still here, I might be one of the 30 contestants. 😂 I have been in bowling, golfing, and Spelling Bee tournaments during my lifetime.
Nice comeback, Art! I also needed one hint to kickstart my Strands solve. I didn't know that some of those animals were nocturnal. I agree, the purple category in Connections was surprising today -- unusually straightforward. Maybe Wyna doesn't want us to become too complacent with our expectations.
I played almost exactly as you. Same two starting words in wordle, but then it took me 4 tries..I choose evict first. LOL. Strands I found skunk on my own, then nocturnal etc. No hints. Connections I was just happy to find all the categories. 😅
You can say when you find the puzzles easy, or suspect we will not have trouble. Everyone is different but the puzzle is rated by difficulty in the opinion of the creator and/or editorial staff. You can certainly have your opinion on that, as long as you don’t get carried away with disparaging remarks.
Anybody who complains about your opinions or commentary can kick rocks, pound sand, and get lost in the pumpkin patch. I played Wordle almost every day with my mother for the last couple of years of her life. It is only through you, Art, that I have found my way back to the joy of playing regularly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you do 💜
As far as spokespeople, I enjoy viewing you among a few others because your playing skills and personality can sometimes be unpredictable making things interesting. You will occasionally make the mistakes/fail in these games allowing others to relate to you. Most importantly, you are a giving/humble individual particularly with these contests.
I'm getting the feeling that purple was easy for Americans, but LINK is not something I've ever heard for sausage in the UK, and I don't think we would use the other three either (maybe some Brits use "dog" as a conscious borrowing from the USA), but I was able to guess that there was some wordplay on bratwurst, hot dog and frankfurter, so it was enough to solve that category after nailing down the other three colours.
Art, when making further comments, you can say something like this: I can see some of my outstanding tournament players doing well in Connections today. It is a matter of specifying things and not upsetting/confusing people not in these tournaments. I understand this situation with you while it may not be the case with others.
Art, bring a noisemaker such as a soda can with pennies in it while walking your pup. This time of year coyotes are not defending their dens so are not much of a threat, but if one approaches, be assertive and tell it to scram. Throw the noisemaker in it's direction but not to hit it. Wildlife needs to stay afraid of humans. Be aware if a coyote is coming close and don't let it bully you.
I read all the comments. I hate to see you so subdued, Art. This is your channel, and you are a kind and caring person. If anyone has a problem with how you express yourself, he/she is free to stop watching you. You can get too obsessed with trying to follow everyone's advice, and wind up like the man in the fable"The Man with the Boy and the Donkey." Do you know that tale? If not, I'd say check it out. It applies. I like you as you are!! Please just keep being you!! ❤️, Therese

@@hopechazz Have you ever encountered an opossum, Chazz? I have. I live two blocks from a nature preserve, so I occasionally find one in my yard. They would definitely NOT make good pets!! They are NOT playful, cuddly and affectionate, like cats are. They would not engage in play with your cats. They just want to be left alone. They would probably hiss and growl at your cats if they came too close. So, not much fun. Other than than, they are pretty benign. They are not aggressive and do not pose a danger to humans. They tend to sit perfectly still for long periods at a time...hence, the term "playing possum." They also have sharp little teeth, so I wouldn't get too close to one because it is a wild animal and might carry rabies.

@milesbaillie6348. Exactly the same for me. I got purple last because, as is often the case ☺️, they were the four leftovers. 🇬🇧
