Zach - The name of the trailer, "tilt equipment" is an accurate description of what it is designed for. As such, it is the ideal unit for loading a skidsteer, mini ex, compact tractor, and similar. It IS NOT designed for loading a car. While the load angle may be suitable, getting the door open would be a serious struggle. A traditional car hauler would generally have a 2' dovetail, 5' ramps, and straight axles, providing an approximately 12 degree load angle, 7' transition, and a 8.5" fender reveal - ideal for most cars. This tilt equipment, with drop axles, would have a similar load angle as the car hauler (although better to load as it would be a single slope), has approx. 12.5" of fender reveal as it has 4" drop axles (8.5+4" = 12.5"). I think you'll find most car doors open between 10-12" in height depending on what type of car it is. Long story short - I'd stick to a trailer with "car hauler" as part of the description, we have a handful of choices in stock.
