My husband and I visited this hotel on our honeymoon in the fall of 2012. We have some very interesting photos with shapes of faces- very clear facial features- and felt several cold spots/random breezes and I specifically felt extremely uncomfortable in the area of the hotel where most of the cancer patients died- I can’t remember the floor or room numbers specifically but there was a particular area/corner of a certain floor where they held the near-death cancer patients to keep them away from the other patients, as to not scare them away from the dying people’s screams and moans.
I was on my honeymoon in 2012 at the crescent haha. I was just wondering if we were the only creeps. Maybe it was one of the many reasons that relationship failed. I pray your union is still strong and happy 💚
It's a southern colloquialism to say someone managed to do something (particularly in Arkansas, where I am from). It's a nice way of saying we either didn't know exactly how something happened, or we know there was some bad behavior happening, but we are cleaning it up. "My wife went to the bridal shower and managed to get herself drunk." We know what happened, LOL. I've heard this used to describe everything from pregnancy to death.
I have stayed in the Grand Central hotel that you see in the opening clip of Eureka Springs. I can guarantee you that place is way more active than the Crescent Hotel. They just don't publicize or make profit off of it!
I visited there once ten years ago. I was on a stair case and all of a sudden I felt a cold spot between the second and third steps! As I stepped to the next step it went away! That was awesome!

They forgot to mention that the "Cure" was a mix of watermelon juice and other strange things. Also, after they died Norman made the persons family keep paying for the treatment. If the family asked to visit, he said they couldn't because they were having their treatment at that time. They also recently found the organs of multiple people buried outside of the hospital. Another fact: Norman was know as the man in the purple suit.
Hubby and I did the ghost tour last night. Was really awesome. Got a pic in the autopsy room with a most in the corner. I was surprised because of all the areas that was on the tour the morgue was the main place where I didn't have the cold creepy feeling.

My wife and I spent a week in Eureka Springs last year, a good bit of time at the hotel. The entire area is awesome, and the hotel had the most welcoming, peaceful, serene atmosphere we've ever experienced. Go figure.....

I live in Eureka Springs and have been to the hotel a few times since moving here. I haven't seen anything yet, I'm not a big believer in anything I can't see, but do enjoy the mystery of such things. But I'm hoping this will change my mind. And yes, I agree with most people, the voice-over guy is boring and lifeless.
It's not your voice it's your presentation. Consider reading with enthusiasm and deep interest in the subject. It's a radio trick we use on the air. We have to read stuff we could care less about or don't know anything about, but we do so with enthusiasm and with a sense of knowledge by fluctuating our voice and reading copy with some sort of enthusiasm. Your voice is fine but just need to pick up the enthusiasm and inflection and fluctuation. You'll be fine when you do. The key is to not sound like you're reading a script or you're bored with what you're reading. A way to help with your vocal presentation is to listen and take note of the likes of Dick Clark - better yet, Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs - maybe even try a little imitating their style until you find your own style. Those guys are the highest of professionals in our field but easy to emulate and follow. Yes. The Crescent is an amazing visit. There's a feeling you do get when you're on the second floor and walking down the hallways. Not something I believe in or accustom to. So maybe these things are more real than I gave them credit for. Good luck to you. I think you'll be fine once you find that flow.

My sister and I stayed 1 one in room 218 and we got an awesome video. My sister had her glasses on the arm on the chair and they flew about a foot and a half to the floor. The flash lights flickered a few times. It was an awesome experience .I got an EVP that when I asked if anyone talked to you the response was "It's been along time" I got a picture of a shadow at the end of the hallway on the 3rd floor that looked like a woman dressed in a long dress with a small hay on. I think it was an old nurses style dress.
My dad was in the elevated in the crescent hotel and said "I dont think this place is haunted" then the elevater stopped in the middle of two floors and opened up then my dad said "I BELIEVE!!" then the elevater doors opened and went down to the bottom floor.
The Crescent Hotel is not "off the beaten path", it's in a very Victorian historic district on a well maintained road, with downtown shuttle service as well as by horse-drawn carriage. There are numerous things to do at the Hotel, whether you're staying as a guest or just as a day visitor. This is not merely a tourist attraction, it's a luxury hotel with one of the finest day spa's in the state, the New Moon Spa and Salon. The hotel just so happens to have a peculiar history and is a well-known paranormal site, but that is not it's only attraction.
Haunting History Yes, 218. We are big fans of the television show Supernatural. My daughter wanted to bring salt and build a devils trap. I said let’s just lay in bed and watch supernatural. We fell asleep and slept great. Comfortable bed, great hotel, beautiful views, amazing creepiness. I even photoshopped a ghost in a hallway photo I took for friends and family. Got a good laugh. My son and wife wanted nothing to do with it and stayed in another hotel. Wimps.

The whole time I was there I felt like I was being watched. I didn't sleep that night. Going up the landing you almost feel like suffocating. Heaviness on the chest. The hair is on the back of your neck go up around turns not knowing what is around the corner. Even the spooky little room of spirits/the bar has a very uncomfortable feeling in my opinion. Everyone is sensitive to different degrees. Some people might translate the energy of the crescent differently. I find it intriguing and reminiscent of the past world and yet troubled.
Went on a spur of the moment trip to Eureka Springs back when I was 17 or 18 but my step mom had a cabin out there so unfortunately I didn't get to stay in the hotel, :(. BUT! Its on my list :). I loved the town btw!
Ty for your video on the Crescent Hotel. I have always been intrigued by the happenings there, I hoped one day to get to investigate the place, but now I am fully disabled! I fear I will never get there now, thanks again
Haunting History I do have faith, however, I'm disabled now, I still hope to get there, when get a but healthier! I'm not giving up hope! But, I am going to work on getting there one day! Happy New Year to all of you, all the best!
We'll have a video out in the not too distant future with some old evidence from past investigations of the Crescent that I think you'll enjoy. The place has this energy about it and an amazing feeling when you walk through the door. Hope you have a great new year!
Haunting History I have read about it and admire the place! From here in my home in southern IN, it holds an energy that I'm bound to. I have seen myself checking in. And being visited by one of the spirits there. Yes it does have an energy and it calls for me to come there, I just hope I can make it.
I’m from Arkansas and have never been to the hotel but two things I know is that the land the crescent hotel is on used to be a battle field and a all girls school that’s why it’s so haunted
HAUNTED HONEYMOON Hi there ~ the last night of our 5 night honeymoon through the Ozark lakes we happed to stay in the Crescent because we saw dogs going in and out and decided to stay but we originally were camping further south at Beaver Lake. Since it seemed such a beautiful old place, and the player piano was even going when we got there lol, we decided to stay there instead of camping. [edit] We took my 16 year old dog on our honeymoon :) lol I was searching for someone with similar experience and when you said 'mist lady' and what you described right before you named her reminded me of our experience when we stayed up on the 3rd floor south corner room which had a shared balcony that nobody was staying in the night we were there. the balcony gave me a very uneasy feeling and then you talked about the little girl that took a fall. Anyway, we honeymooned at The Crescent Hotel in 2001. we experienced no haunts, not even knowing this church was known for being haunted, in the hotel. However, we took a stroll after dark down the back of the hotel to the St. Elizabeth Church. There, as we went down the sidewalk with the 14 stations of the cross and in front of the Arc window with the wood going down the center of it making it two windows; suddenly the whole church was lit up inside with an extremely bright light which radiated out of every window. Suddenly, we could see a shadow circling inside swiftly from one wall to another, seemingly in circular flight inside. We were both confirming that we both were seeing what was there, and we both saw the same thing. Then, the shadow came up to that arc window and put its hands around its eyes and pressed its face against the window as if it was trying to see us but could not. It looked female and gaunt and never seemed to spot us but we continued to look at it trying to. Then, the lights went out. Then, we witness wavering as if on a gentle sea, lit candles floating throughout the inside structure! Then, finally, the lights went out again. We went behind the church and found what we thought might be there, customary to many catholic churches ~a bench with a bird bath and a running fountain in the middle. So, we sat there gathering our composure and talking about what we saw; even lighting on the fact that we were not afraid. However, I said to my new husband, if that ghost had come through the window and came at us, then I would have been out of there! The ghost seemed trapped and wanted out, though. We went back up to the hotel and I realized I had left my purse on the bench. So, we go all the way back down to get my purse. Close toward the bottom of the long winding staircase down to the church, I heard a hissing sound. I commented that a sprinkler system had come on, which isn't that unusual at all late at night; many are timed to come on late at night so I didn't think anything of it. Then, we could hear the water, but we could not see it once we got past the Mother Mary entry way. we walked down past the window that had lit up looking and looking for sprinkler water coming up from the grass, but no water was seen. As we turned to go past the front double doors and back to the bench, there in the corner of the eve of the church on the side that faces the road and right around the corner from those double doors; my husband said "look up there." I couldn't see it and he kept directing my eyes, then he held the back of my head and pointed it toward it. Then I saw what he had spotted! Up in the corner of that eve, was an orb. Not like any orb I have ever heard of because it seemed to be made out of mist. In fact, we got misted walking by it to get my purse behind the church. The orb was about as big around as a soccer or basketball. I remember trying to be funny as I felt the mist, saying "I hope it is Holy Water." But, we were still never afraid and we gathered my purse and finally went to our room on the 3rd floor of the back side of The Crescent Hotel. And that is our story, and we are sticking to it; because it's true!!! ~enjoy! If anyone experienced something at St. Elizabeth or has seen a mist ball I would like to hear from you here.
A friend and I stayed at the crescent a few years back, very cool place.. .. I'm not a Ghost person at all (as I don't believe in them), but the the Ghost tour of this place is well worth the asking price, if noting else just to learn the Interesting History of the Crescent...
All of my fellow Oklahomans watching this video, do you ever find it wierd that the guys name is Norman Baker? ( Norman is a town in Oklahoma where Oklahoma University is, and Baker is the name of a quarter back from Oklahoma University. His full name is Baker Mayfield. )
When I went there I didn’t stay but I still felt chills we walked around and ate in the now called “the baker lounge” it serves pizza and has a bar too but besides the fact it was creepy and some of the floors were very creaky. The baker lounge used to be his office but still oof
The video isn't bad at all. I wish there was more footage of the hotel while hunting but I understand sometimes you just don't get anything. I've talked with the clerks many times and I still learned something new with the head director interview you had with him. Would you happen to know what part of the hotel the girl fell off the balcony?
I may have missed it, as I just got off nightshift, but had they mentioned someone dying of cancer? Because I thought it seemed a bit random and weird that he asked, and kept asking if the spirit in question had had cancer....
Ive stayed there. It’s a beautiful hotel. I got a picture of a mist on the outside of the building on the fire stairs. I also got something that was almost solid but still transparent that was sticking out of one of the doors.
1:31 ... Yep, that sums up Eureka: a talentless cluster of hippies getting high, and smearing their simplistic avocations along every park and sidewalk.
I've been on the haunted tour many times and I've got orb many times. I've even got some blotchy spots in my pics that I can't explain. When I went into the freezer the last time I had a feeling of dread and sadness and I felt heavy and dizzy. I just wanted to leave. Never felt like that before.
"....she managed to get herself pregnant." Hey old guy, unless she was visited with immaculate conception, a man had something to do with her becoming pregnant. This mentality certainly contributed to her death.
I used to work there, it is not haunted. When the new owners bought the hotel in 1996, & knew people died there when it was a hospital, they fabricated the haunting myth & the ghost tour for financial profit, They were losing money on the hotel until then. That meter they hold that lights up when a supposed ghost is near has a button on the side that makes the lights light up when they push it, it makes the guests really think they’re experiencing a haunting. They got the ghost act down pretty good. If they never told you that the hotel was haunted, would you really believe that it was?
@MichaelSSmith-hs5pw yes I would. You sound more like a disgruntled former employee. Based on the things I've seen, heard, and captured, I would say without hesitation that the place is haunted. As far as the EMF on the tour, there is a conduit in the wall. The meter that they sell only goes to .5 milligauss which is quite sensitive and useless. I've actually talked to people who experienced things as late as the 80's. Ghost hunting wasn't as widely accepted as it is now, so if the owners used it as a financial relief, they were psychic. Appreciate you stopping by.
@@HauntingHistory Not disgruntled, just skeptical. As a maintenance man there, I was in every room on every floor & in every nook & cranny, day & night for three years & never experienced any eerie happenings. Back then the “morgue” was our workshop & the walk in cooler was our tool crib. I worked alone in the workshop/morgue many times without feeling anything. So I was just relaying my knowledge & experience with the place of not feeling or seeing anything out of the ordinary. Not disgruntled. (One man’s opinion.)
@MichaelSSmith-hs5pw I get ya. That can happen where one may experience things and someone else may not. I've known people to live in home and only experience 2 or 3 things in 20 years of living there. As a skeptic, it's easier to dismiss things than to acknowledge the possibilities because they may go against ones beliefs. It's not for everyone and that's fine. Hell I have several episodes where we don't capture or experience anything but it's still important to share that so folks know activity doesn't happen all the time or on que.
@@HauntingHistory Oh I completely understand that. I didn’t dismiss anything, if fact I tried hard to experience things & believe, but it just didn’t happen for me & as maintenance man, I was in a good position to experience things, it wasn’t meant to be I guess. Skeptical or not, if other people want to believe they saw & heard things, O.K. with me. Happy haunting.
The story about Mary Breckenridge is true I live about 2 miles from the school FNS Frontier Nursing Service in Hyden Ky. amazing how far reaching her teachings were.
My mother and I visited this hotel in 2018. This man gave us our tour and was being very very vulgar towards my mom, he kept making statements like "if u get scared come sleep in my room " and would point at my mom directly. I woke up around 1am to him knocking on our door and asking me if my mother was up, I told him no. He proceeded to ask me if I'd heard anything and wanted to know if I'd visit the basement of the hotel with him. He kept implying that things would calm down paranormal wise if I just went to the basement with him.. I felt super creeped out at this time & was only 15 1/2 years old. I was around 6 foot tall at that age so I never took him for a physical threat, id played football all thru school and boxed from 10 to 14 so I knew how to throw a punch pretty well & could throw my body weight around if need be, plus me and my cousin grew up watching WWE and wrestling alot so I wasn't a newbie to psychical altercations. I'm almost 22 now, but wow I'll never forget this place.. and next time I come back that old mans gonna catch these hands
It's so funny to me how they say the girl was pregnant and jump in the staircase however on the tour the tour guide said it was a 3 year old girl who fall down in the same spot 🤔
Queen Panders Well the door is beside it but when you go in, there are stairs that go up to the suite. Even the suite itself has 2 floors to it. The head nurse (who some say had relations with Dr. Baker) had & is said to haunt room 419.

Ty for your video on the Crescent Hotel. I have always been intrigued by the happenings there, I hoped one day to get to investigate the place, but now I am fully disabled! I fear I will never get there now, thanks again
If you are determined enough, you will find your way. Have faith in yourself.
Yes it does have an energy and it calls for me to come there, I just hope I can make it.
great show!... I'ma watchem all😄
That didjeridu guy at the beginning was terrible, how do you mess up playing a didjeridu?!?!
Fun show though
He's trying his best.
More like didjeridont..
*Uhhhh... You hit it with a spoon apparently?!?! And use no wind pressure variants*
No kidding
I’m from Arkansas and have never been to the hotel but two things I know is that the land the crescent hotel is on used to be a battle field and a all girls school that’s why it’s so haunted
Thankyou for this I really enjoyed it :)
Osage didn't move out you got it right the second time Removal
Total Banger
HAUNTED HONEYMOON Hi there ~ the last night of our 5 night honeymoon through the Ozark lakes we happed to stay in the Crescent because we saw dogs going in and out and decided to stay but we originally were camping further south at Beaver Lake. Since it seemed such a beautiful old place, and the player piano was even going when we got there lol, we decided to stay there instead of camping. [edit] We took my 16 year old dog on our honeymoon :) lol
I was searching for someone with similar experience and when you said 'mist lady' and what you described right before you named her reminded me of our experience when we stayed up on the 3rd floor south corner room which had a shared balcony that nobody was staying in the night we were there. the balcony gave me a very uneasy feeling and then you talked about the little girl that took a fall.
P.S. I would also like to hear from Haunting History ! :D
About to stay in room 218 in April! I can't wait.
A friend and I stayed at the crescent a few years back, very cool place.. .. I'm not a Ghost person at all (as I don't believe in them), but the the Ghost tour of this place is well worth the asking price, if noting else just to learn the Interesting History of the Crescent...
have you guys noticed that every one who have commented about staying in the hotel have stayed or is going to stay in the same room 218. 😒
Stephanie Ortiz .....all we got here as commentators are a bunch of liers lol
Because 218 is supposed to have the most ghost activity
Sasha Hughes but 218 is one room and everyone saying they’re going at the same time is jus a lie lmao
You can go to the hotel website and one of the FIRST things you see is boom room 218. Why comment this?
in the intro he said ppl no longer make moon shine n kiss their cousins, hahaha.
I laughed to because that implied they did inbreed!
too!
Frankie Salif that's funny I'm from ar
Frankie Salif me too. And we still make moonshine
Frankie Salif
Awesome video,thank you for sharing🌺
All of my fellow Oklahomans watching this video, do you ever find it wierd that the guys name is Norman Baker? ( Norman is a town in Oklahoma where Oklahoma University is, and Baker is the name of a quarter back from Oklahoma University. His full name is Baker Mayfield. )
I am an okie and thought the same thing
When I went there I didn’t stay but I still felt chills we walked around and ate in the now called “the baker lounge” it serves pizza and has a bar too but besides the fact it was creepy and some of the floors were very creaky. The baker lounge used to be his office but still oof
I went there and someone took a picture of me and there was a orb on my head and back!
I like old houses and buildings and motels
The video isn't bad at all. I wish there was more footage of the hotel while hunting but I understand sometimes you just don't get anything. I've talked with the clerks many times and I still learned something new with the head director interview you had with him. Would you happen to know what part of the hotel the girl fell off the balcony?
Third floor balcony, supposedly around the area of the bar and the bathrooms.
Haunting History ok cool, thank you very much.
Got a shock to a bloke playi g an Australian Aborigine didgeridoo at the beginning of this video. Lol
The banjo guy was off that day ;)
I was just there 2 days ago that place is amazing
My husband accidentally booked a room in this hotel 😂 we didn't know if was haunted. Wish us luck
I stayed here. Went on the ghost tour. I'd say the room could use some rennovations but maybe the bathroom was cool :-P
My parents went there on their honeymoon though they declined the ghost tour they got scared one night when their lights flickered out.
I took a picture in one of the hallways, on one wall is a face and across from it on the opposite wall is a goat with wings, strange
+SJames V Never heard of a goat being photographed before. That's a new one on me. This hotel is absolutely amazing though.
I may have missed it, as I just got off nightshift, but had they mentioned someone dying of cancer? Because I thought it seemed a bit random and weird that he asked, and kept asking if the spirit in question had had cancer....
When it was a hospital, it was known as a "Cancer Curing Hospital". Plus Dr. Baker ended up dying from cancer. Ironic right? lol
hospital is were the hauntings started
Ive stayed there. It’s a beautiful hotel. I got a picture of a mist on the outside of the building on the fire stairs. I also got something that was almost solid but still transparent that was sticking out of one of the doors.
I went the when I was two or there and my brother went screaming down the hall when he saw our room number
666?
1:31 ... Yep, that sums up Eureka: a talentless cluster of hippies getting high, and smearing their simplistic avocations along every park and sidewalk.
I stayed at the spooky cresent hotel I've got a picture from ghost tour on phone of blue orb awesome 😮
I take exception to Keith Scale's wording, "She managed to get herself pregnant." It is revolting that men in this day and age still think this way.
Thanks for the info and video I cane from animated horror flicks
I know this place and I've seen a ghost in my own photo
Everyplace that showed I've been there
I've been on the haunted tour many times and I've got orb many times. I've even got some blotchy spots in my pics that I can't explain. When I went into the freezer the last time I had a feeling of dread and sadness and I felt heavy and dizzy. I just wanted to leave. Never felt like that before.
I stay there like every month bc my grandma practically lives there
I'm staying on the third floor this weekend :D
Love how passionate the tour guide is.
not wrong about the moonshine part😂
After I visited that hotel I went to the church
Damn Background Music Too LOUD
Went there after 8th grade with mom and a friend. They got to experience paranormal stuff but I didn’t
been twice. love it
Its one our favorite places to go to. Just the feeling of being there is just awesome!
I should bring my ouija board here
I live in Eureka and I've been dying to go 😍😍😍
Um....can you do anything about increasing the volume? Even with my speakers at 100% the "tour" dude is difficult to hear.
Sorry Thomas, there's nothing we can do on our end.
"....she managed to get herself pregnant." Hey old guy, unless she was visited with immaculate conception, a man had something to do with her becoming pregnant. This mentality certainly contributed to her death.
my mom and dad go married in a gazebo on a hill and the Cresent is behind it. Also, we ligetimetly live fifteen minuits away. THIS IS MY TURF!
Puffyton 6
Please learn how to spell my friend..
Kateri Levasseur yeah.... Its pretty bad.
18:28 WHAT WAS THAT BEHIND THE WOMAN
@@HauntingHistory
Not disgruntled, just skeptical.
@@HauntingHistory
Oh I completely understand that.
Wow.. your voice is so close to Aaron on truthstream media!!
The story about Mary Breckenridge is true I live about 2 miles from the school FNS Frontier Nursing Service in Hyden Ky. amazing how far reaching her teachings were.
when, at age 15, i told my mom that i had "somehow gotten pregnant," she said i was "somehow about to get my ass thrown down the stairs. twice." lol
lol
Haunting History, thanks for making and uploading this :0)
@@foofy3406
That's wicked 😂😂
rumours of body parts are real. they just found jars of body parts
mrswhugy J oh yeah I saw that video about it, I’m going to stay for my birthday lol.
@Angela Chaney wow that would be crazy
What room were you in? When the guy was talking
+PineappleKelsey When we were interviewing Keith Scales, we were in the Dr. Baker Suite. It is the room above 419..
+Haunting History I thought Dr bakers suit what beside room 419 not above it
Queen Panders Well the door is beside it but when you go in, there are stairs that go up to the suite. Even the suite itself has 2 floors to it. The head nurse (who some say had relations with Dr. Baker) had & is said to haunt room 419.
+Haunting History yeah sorry that's what I meant I was kind of going by my friends experience when she was there
Queen Panders If you haven't yet, you really should make a trip there! Beautiful town, hotel, and history.
room 203 sucks, no view, paint peeling.
