      Lyft needs to up their cancelation fee, $2-$4 is not enough. It should be charging them waiting time from the mint after you arrive. Otherwise it's just a waste of time and money

    I'm not doing Lyft anymore because of a fender bender 😅 but there was one thing I didn't like about the Lyft app was when I'm close to the rider's destination, is the map would flip sideways or even upsidedown almost disorienting me in relation to where the rider is!😰 That really messes with me especially after using the Uber app for a while.

    • @Vitellius-jf9gz
      @Vitellius-jf9gz Год назад +7

      Yep, 180 degrees flip suddenly shows that you need to drive in the opposite direction to pick up the passenger. Lyft engineers were definitely smoking something while designing the app.

    Every stop a passenger makes during a trip request should be counted as a completed trip period. We shouldn't be paid pennies on the minute to wait for them during stops especiiallynwhen trip counts matter or we have plans to be offline by a specific time

    I wish Uber and Lyft would show the map view of the next ride request that pop-up while in a Current ride. You get to see the map view of pick up and drop off when you’re not in a ride, but you only get to see the address when they pop up during the ride.

    Ubber sometimes has a half block delay on map dirrections. It is frustrating driving past a turn becuse map location is delayed. Also, sometimes on Uber, it takes 5 to 10 seconds before it generates a map for a ride get accepted. When you're sitting at a stoplight not knowing what direction to go, that routing delay can add a huge difference to how far you have to drive to pick up if you miss a turn.

      That’s funny I feel the same way about Lyft I drive with Uber. All you have to do is tap the top of the directions and a drop-down box will fall in your see every street and turn you have to go to the Uber app. I feel Lyft mapping is the same way if I’m on the highway I don’t know the next direction to go if I’m changing for one highway to another or streets Uber you’re able to see everything are you going to do is push that arrow and top with the direction is in you’ll see exactly where you’re going, I would love someone to send me a message how to use the Lyft app showing me all the next directions so I’ll be prepared when the next street to turn to because that’s a problem I have @ kedkvid

    Both apps had a feature where the driver could change the drop off address. This is so helpful in different circumstances such as, the rider had the wife/husband/friend, order the trip and they put in the wrong address. They can't get ahold of them to change it. Lyft still has this feature and recently Uber took it away with the last driver app update. Uber needs to put it back into effect because it helps out so much when it is needed!!!!!

    The apps would be SO MUCH BETTER if we have a number pop up showing us the amount of passengers we're picking up. Sick of seeing ONE name - but we pull up and there's 4 people there for $3.85. I cancel those. I'm doing doing bus fare rides and then picking up THREE MORE PEOPLE who are literally riding for free. These apps need to change that, and the videos on my channel show why. We are tearing our cars up for FREELOADERS too much.

    Uber destination modes often takes you away from destination. Also uber penalizes you stats if you don't accept rides going away from destination. Often after acepting ride, I may spend 20 min for pickup and drop off and be further from my destination then when I started. Or the drop off is 15 minutes past my destnation so if I accept the ride I would go 30 minutes out of my way to reach my destination (15 minutes past destination, then 15 minutes to go back to destination). Often Uber destination takes you awy from destination the times out and you have to use another destination filter or give up and turn off ride requests.

  • @alexsf4248

    Great posting. The Uber app shows how near you are to the exact pickup spot by counting down to 0 feet, Lyft’s app it’s a guessing game as you are approaching. Uber has in- app audio encrypted recording in States that allows it Lyft doesn’t. Uber doesn’t honor the two daily destination modes (a third if you’re a Diamond driver going far away to an area that’s not busy). This issue was common in the past when there was a shortage of drivers but is now a daily reality even with tons of drivers around driving empty.

    On Lyft, bonus zone boundries are a hassel. Sometimes, the bonus zone is 2 blocks fom my home, no bonus unless I leave my home, drive 2 blocks to bonus zone and stay there waiting for a ride request. Sometimes in early morning it takes 15 min to get a ride request. I usually dont bother leaving my home. Not worth the hassel.

    • @kenkvid
      @kenkvid Год назад

      Yes Uber destination filter doesn't work very well. If they don't show you the routing map it often means they are taking you away from destination instead of towards it. The main benefit of destination mode seems to be it's more like an anchor. You set your destination on Uber the app will let you hover and circle around a destination and not take you too far away from you destination. At times it feels like you are treading water and not going towards your destination, but at least you are not going too far away from you destination.

    On the Uber app I was asked if there was a preference if the rider wants to request to only get female drivers. Some riders have their personal reasons why they may want this preference. I called the customer service, which they are polite but I don’t always get the right information. The rep did tell me to have the rider call customer service and they can set her up with that preference. Not sure if that’s correct or not but I think all apps should provide the riders with more preferences. Lyft sent out an add saying this is a preference that can be requested in their app. I think both apps should include this as an option for their preferences. Please educate me if I’m missing something here or if anyone knows more about rider preferences. Ty❤

    The most frustrating part of the Uber app is when I stop for a pickup it doesnt recognise that I have pulled into a driveway unless the driveway is over 100 feet long, so they will always take ne from the direction I was headed when I turned into the driveway frequently making the trip longer, when going the other direction would be faster.

  • @kenkvid
    @kenkvid Год назад

    Often, Uber turns off destination requests and even though I have saved that filter, at the end of the night it will say my destination filter is not available and can't be used because it would degrade service. Because of that, the only way I can get rides going to my destination let uber show me lots of rides and reject 80% of the rides not going in direction I want to go. Then uber punishes me for having lower stats because they didnt let me use the destination filter I saved to go home. For example uber takes away my platinum status and area filter. It is insulting to be punished by uber when they don't let me use filters. So to avoid being punished by Uber, when they won't let me use a destination filter I have, I turn off uber, use Lyft destinatin filter to go home. Lyft has fewer rides and pays less, so I often drive home with no rides when uber wont let me used a destination filter I saved. The filters belong to the drivers. Dont make a driver waste time or punish a driver when you wont let him use a filter he saved. Also I find that several hours before I plan to quit, I avoid going on trips taking me away from home in case Uber wont let me us my destination filter.

    Until the legal challenges that have to take place that fundamentally transform the illegal operations they perform on a regular basis that were allowed during the Obama administration that aren't actually legal, that would pretty much nullify about 80% of every drivers complaint, until it happens common Sense things have to occur.
    If not for conflict of interest and failure to disclose, two of the principal things they doing a regular basis that irritate the living crap out of drivers besides actually set the rates for the rides which, the only service they perform really at the end of the day is that of a facilitator/broker...
    They just arrange rides, they have no business setting prices - AT ALL!!!
    Drivers need to set the rights for their time, because we've seen what they've done tracking back all the way from prop 22, the present, once they got us on paper is no liability - they've been trying to shape us as employees ever since.
