      I dont know if I can make a compete tutorial because I already have the Profitable Publisher 2.0 program which shows you from start to finish how I publish and scale my books. However that's hours of content and knowledge which I don't think is appropriate for RUclips. I will still continue making shorter videos for RUclips to help you out as much as possible :)

    Thank you for making all these videos. These are master classes. Making a cover is actually my next step. With everything you've going to talk about if possible could you talk about, similar to this video using the cover as a UPS to break in. I need to watch your other videos were you make the covers. Would be good if you went through the kdp on making a cover (if you haven't done so already)
    Would you recommend sticking to kdp as a beginner as I've seen some other people that sell in multiple places and they do get sales from them such as Google and apple. Thank you

      I appreciate this comment 🙏 You can watch my other videos where I make covers myself but I'm also currently working on a video on what to look at when you're outsourcing covers from designers. Just to make sure you're getting the best cover possible that will give you the highest CTR. Personally, I sell on KDP only. I like to focus on one rather than spread my focus to multiple sources. Im very excited to release the book cover video since a lot of viewers have been asking for it :)

    Great video! I have a question: By giving USP and value to our book, will sales be sustained over time? Or only until a better book than yours appears?

    • @barrygeorgioukdp
      @barrygeorgioukdp  10 месяцев назад +3

      That's a really good question William. If you have a really high quality book with some great USP's then your book will sustain sales overtime as long as you publish in an evergreen niche with demand. The great thing about having USP's is that you make it harder for new books to beat you (Because if you show how to draw 100 people and someone makes the same book with 150 people, then they will have to pay more for production , they will have a higher page count which will eat into their profit because of the printing cost) But either way by the time a new book enters the market you will have already built up your sales data, reviews and ranking. It's not impossible for someone to make a better book, but you will be making it 10x harder for them :)

    Hi Barry, great videos. I just subscribed. Quick question: My son published a psychological fantasy. It has received rave reviews by book critics. Unfortunately, he only has 2 Amazon reviews so far (from verified readers). It launched officially on December 29, 2023. So, we just finished the first week.
    To put everything into context, 3 years ago, my son went through a very traumatic experience. He was immediately put on suicide watch following the event, and for six months afterwards, little things like tying his shoes became a monumental task. Almost forgot to mention that he was diagnosed with PTSD, dissociative identity disorder, and depression. He started writing with a pen and paper as therapy, and then started putting his thoughts on a computer. What started out as scattered thoughts soon morphed into a 48.000-word novella. So this is a fiction book and most of the marketing that I have found is geared towards non-fiction. Thoughts?

    • @barrygeorgioukdp
      @barrygeorgioukdp  8 месяцев назад

      Very good question. I only work with non-fiction but in your case if the book offers valuable insight on people going through the same experiences your son had to go through it can do very well. But the most important part is to focus on what the customer gets (Whether that's valuable insights, emotions, relatability, motivation etc) The customer always comes first. I wish I could give you good advice but I don't have enough experience with fiction books to do so :)

    Hi Barry. You are a goldmine! Very interesting and helpful tips. What about the price? I suppose that, if your competitors sell 50 people for USD 8, what would you price for 100 people? USD 10? 12? Same price to be more competitive?

    • @barrygeorgioukdp
      @barrygeorgioukdp  10 месяцев назад +4

      Lilly, you're amazing I love these questions. Personally, I would price my book the exact same price. Why? Because then when the customer compares the two, price won't be one of the factors they consider. So your competition will have nothing on you. As soon as you build reviews, ranking and sales data, this is when you can start testing out higher prices to see how your book performs. The best part is, when you sell enough copies at a lower price and you raise your price, Amazon will actually show a strikethrough and still sell your book at the lower price (Showing a discount) which increases your conversion rate so you end up selling more :)

    • @barrygeorgioukdp
      @barrygeorgioukdp  9 месяцев назад +1

      I'm not quite sure what you mean by theirs no organic traffic for new books. If you are talking about publishing a new book and relying on purely organic traffic from the start to get your book ranked, you're going to have a very difficult time doing so. But, there is more than enough traffic to go around on Amazon. If you run ads correctly, you will start to get organic traffic as a byproduct. I use KDP champ to measure my organic vs PPC traffic as well as the progress of my books. Hope this helps :)

    Great advice, can't wait to apply these concepts my self. I'm starting with a diary and some colouring books just to dip my feet but my partner and I have an ecommerce store in a sort of a niche market, but essentially falling into the Cosplay and How to style content. We're also pretty excited about setting up the funnels that will point towards the books in our store and website. It's gonna be a grind but i think we can leverage our social followings for start off sales and reviews to help kdp pick up the books and start pushing it out to people.

      I'm very excited for you. Amazon has a honeymoon period which is the first 21-30 days of publishing your book. During these days they are looking to see how your book performs against your competitors to see where to rank you. If you have a social following and you get those followers to buy in the first couple of days, this is really going to help you out in the long term if everything is set up correctly :)
