Thank you for these wonderful videos. I'm a new longarm user and love the look of stitch in the ditch. One question that keeps tripping me up is when do you do it when you are using other techniques on the quilt? I don't like to overstitch and the ditch is a great way to move between designs, but then I have to come back at the end and hit all the "missed" areas. How do you do this most efficiently?

Planning your stitch path ahead of time can be helpful. Othertimes, you might end up just having to overstitch some areas to finish stitching others.

Pardon my confusion....what is "the low side"? If I press my seams to one side, is the low side the "thick" side (the side of the seam where you've pressed the seams) or the "thin" side? Thanks for clarifying this for me.

What size needle do you need for the 100 weight thread? Did you use it also in the bobbin? Is 100 weight thread difficult to wind bobbins with ? Do you have any suggestions for winding the bobbins? I have an original style bobbin winder.

Good morning, I just saw your question and wanted to share a guide that handi quilter has on there web site. It is called tension needles and thread. It is an awesome guide for thread and needles. Check it out. To answer your question it says for silk(100wt), 60wt, monofilament, Mylar, cotton , poly. You can use either 12(80) or 14 (90) needle. As for bobbin thread I don’t know that answer. Check out there web site. I printed this guide out.
