Wow, two very different homes. That first one...fabulously unique. The entrance looking at the stairs reminded me of the movie Labyrinth when she was trying to save her baby brother on those weird stairs that went in all directions. Thanks, Ethan! ✌
That first home was so unique and probably such a fun place to live, to grow up in. All of the vertical open ness so cool and the glass walled office so unexpected. Although the staircase and the open areas over basement took up a lot of room, there was still plenty. I would like to have seen it back in its day, furnished and decorated in 70’s style. Love that peak of orange flowered wallpaper. I wonder what life sounded like with all of the openness. Was it full of echoes. If only walls could talk. Sad to me the violence of vandalism. I’ll never understand why. Also sad this house’s story will come to an end if it is demolished. The second house was cute and probably quite cozy in its time but is probably in the way of so called progress. Ethan thank you for sharing these fun explorations. Take care, be well and keep safe.
Wow Ethan , you found an awesome gem . I agree that the architect is unique and definitely has a late 70s early 80s vibe , Ethan did you ever go to the Murdoch Home in Canada prayers 🙏 🙏 🙏 for all the people in Canada and surrendering states plus WI has been affected by the Wildfires still . thank you Ethan
Ethan I bet at one point this hime was breath taking it's truly a shame the way people destroy these homes thanks for the video stay safe 🙏❤️ Happy 4 of July
Weird thing to see right as you enter the front door, it looks like the entrance to an office building or something. I'd almost expect to see a sign on the wall stating the floor and suite numbers for various businesses. Cool video Ethan, as always, thanks!
Took years for me to remove all that wallpaper from my 1979 house. Every room had it. It included vinyl, milar, fibric, textured paper, etc. It was stunning in it's day but then it just became outdated. Thanks for the great video, Ethan.
Digging the MC Escher-esque vibes of the staircase. That light fixture over the stairs was awesome too. Strange that there's so few bedrooms for a house so large. Love the bonus sub-basement.
Two houses in one showing. The first was futuristic modern for its times. I loved the lovered shutters that were on all the windows. It's crazy how thieves went in and stole the copper piping. And then the graffiti vandalism upstairs too. For shame on those people. The brick fireplaces are nice. I know it must have been a mansion when it was new and the country setting was beautiful also. Onto the 50's house I think it too was pretty upscale in its time also. It's had updates in it also the cooking stove was definitely more modern. Love the old doorbell chimes. Two great finds again Ethan , thank you for showing them before they are gone. Peace 💝
Yes! I was just thinking this home would have made a great mall! A mini- mall with a nice coffeeshop and cafe. It would have been so fun to shop in! Thank you for showing this unusual place.
I've seen this house already... you've walked through this already BEFORE the roof caved in .. so Thank you, I'm so glad I started at "your" beginning, I was able to see this in its "Original, Beautiful, Unique, Grand" form! 😊
I cant stop thinking that the glass room may be bullet proof...a panic room. It looks to have been in the process of updating the whole house. It seems no expense was spared. Surprisingly I love it. I dont usually go for modernism. The natural light flooding the stairwell is beautifu. It looks like if you repaired the water pipes and sheetrock It would be pristine and of course the flat roofs and decks are a bix/huge expense. The kitchen was way cool. Especially the rounded bar and sink area. Are you aware thal ALL hot water heaters have a date? I liked the surprisingly large kitchen.
It's a house built around a stairwell... odd but beautiful. Really sad that all of this will end up in a landfill. I'd love to live there and restore it to it's 70s glory, wallpaper and all.
Hi Ethan 😎🏎,That house looks like it was very cool at one time with all the angles and the height.I wonder who designed that. The glass room was alittle weird but cool at the same time. I wonder why the family left. That deck looked unsafe tho. The fridge was huge and the kitchen looked like it was nice at one time. I bet that pool was nice to. Overall people suck that ruined it ugh. What right do they think they have to do all that, just saying. That whole house is wrecked ugh. Anyway that house has so many rooms and angles that was cool once. I apologize for being late on commenting😎. I am going to watch your new video now 😎I look forward to your next awesome cool video Ethan 😎🏎always be cool 😊
Two different houses, both were probably top of the line in their time. I agree with you Ethan: The open staircase sets the tone for the whole house in the first part of the video. It's amazing architecture. especially for the seventies. I'm quite surprised at the fifties home. It has a lot of room and storage, which was not common for that time. Very cool selections. I'd love to know how you guys find these homes, but I doubt you're going to share your secrets - especially out in the open on youtube comments. lol Thanks Ethan.
If that 70's Contemporary or Modernist home wasn't featured in an issue of Architectural Digest or some other magazine of that type, it should have been! It would have definitely been worthy! It was Amazing!🤩It had that sterile contemporary vibe, but sprinkled with a some original warmer touches, like the hints of the original wallpapers, the butcher block countertop in the laundry, the carpet on the bar, and the brick fireplace was really nice! Super Cool home. 😎✌️
Turn the lights on in the garage we can't see a damn thing we can't see your hand in front of her face I wonder why the vandals didn't get the chandelier
I bought my 1979 house in 1982. I'm pretty sure carpeting preceded all that hardwood Also, the wood trim would have been dark, not white. I still have that brown Nutone radio/ intercom system central control in the kitchen. Great video. Thanks
19:10 Too bad you didn't have a better light for that secret basement... that is just too freaking cool! It has sub-levels! Makes me think of Resident Evil. 😂
That house is pretty cool. The grey and hardwood means it's been redecorated in the past ten or so years. I suspect it was more colourful when it was new. The old wallpaper supports that idea. It would be cool to know who the architect was. It's very distinctive and cool
I know one reason you love that house Ethan. As a tall person you appreciate the high ceilings and doorways, you didn’t hit your head once. The stair cases reminded me of a mall.
I bet that house was so cool when it was first built and decorated all 70’s. I feel like I have seen that house in a video before sometime ago but I can’t remember to go back and look to see if it had all of that damage before. I can’t believe the basement wasn’t flooded. Good house!
This should be the house of stairs. Nice kitchen beautiful view outside. The house looks better upstairs it has a bit more character less stairs showing. interesting second house very plain Thanks for the video Ethan.
That room of all glass. You sure didn't want to trip and fall in that. No flash light again. I see. Or rather I don't see. The whole design design does not seem homey. No warmth. Too "modern". Like I said . An office Building. You seem to be in a rush. An interesting place. Thank you for the walkthrough. Blessings Ethan. Stay safe.
Wow so much damage from the first time you were there 3 years ago. Still looks amazing though and I’ve never seen stairs like that in a residence before.
25:16 the house I grew up in had an oil tank.... I know the house next door to that was built in the mid 1800s, they had one of those historic notification signs on the front, so I think the house I grew up in was built in the later 1800s or early 1900s. So the house you are in is probably pretty old considering the time frame when they put those oil tanks in.
hi Ethan good to see you with Angelo and a nice video hope you guys be safe out there 🙏🙏🙏 I might not say to much on here but I do give you a 👍up ❤️ you guys be safe
Insane. Just like you said. My question is with, how much money was invested, and how large, and how nice these homes were. How does these places become, abandoned. When the housing bubble, popped. There was nobody who could afford these places, or before? It is amazing, yet, depressing, to see your channel. But I am subed to other channels which are more depressing. Don’t stop doing what you do.
Wow, two very different homes. That first one...fabulously unique. The entrance looking at the stairs reminded me of the movie Labyrinth when she was trying to save her baby brother on those weird stairs that went in all directions. Thanks, Ethan! ✌
i love that and I agree 💯 it does
I didn't even think about that until I read this comment. 😂
Perfect description for them. It really does 😂
What I find shocking about so many Canadian homes, older and newer is the open basement! You guys' heating bills must be through the roof!
Amazing home, can imagine how beautiful it was when it was furnished
What an awesome place it would have been thanks Ethan for recording these treasures 👍🇦🇺
Great find Ethan! Would have loved to have see this magnificent place when it was new and furnished.
Wow Ethan, you did it again, another spectacular house!!! Thanks for sharing another exciting adventure!!! 👍👍🙂
WOW! Pretty awesome place! I really love the extra storage. I like being organized.
This is amazing Ethan. Love it. Always surprising us. ✌🏻😊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
RYou crack me up sometimes .... "Saunas awe cool" 😂love the vids

❤❤❤❤😊😊❤❤❤wow Ethan this is I think by far the most awesomeness amazing house I've seen from you. And the glass walls nice. So Kool I love it.
Loving the shutters on the big windows
Wow Ethan , you found an awesome gem . I agree that the architect is unique and definitely has a late 70s early 80s vibe , Ethan did you ever go to the Murdoch Home in Canada prayers 🙏 🙏 🙏 for all the people in Canada and surrendering states plus WI has been affected by the Wildfires still . thank you Ethan
Retro fab! Love it!
Ethan I bet at one point this hime was breath taking it's truly a shame the way people destroy these homes thanks for the video stay safe 🙏❤️ Happy 4 of July
Happy 4th to you as well! Here, Canada Day is celebrated on the 1st of July. Happy Canada Day to us! Let's see who has the best fireworks display! :)
Yeah, these copper rats are truly the worst. A greedy, sorry bunch.
Weird thing to see right as you enter the front door, it looks like the entrance to an office building or something. I'd almost expect to see a sign on the wall stating the floor and suite numbers for various businesses. Cool video Ethan, as always, thanks!
Beautiful home thanks for sharing this keep up the good work
Hi Ethan 👋 What a weird layout in this home 😳 Thank you for another great video ❤️
Awesome video thanks for sharing👍💜💜
So sad people messed it up so bad someone showed this place and it wasn't this bad. I love the open concept
Took years for me to remove all that wallpaper from my 1979 house. Every room had it. It included vinyl, milar, fibric, textured paper, etc. It was stunning in it's day but then it just became outdated. Thanks for the great video, Ethan.
I remember the first house from 3 years ago. I love the revisits. I went back and re watched the first video.
Would have like to see how they had it decorated
Digging the MC Escher-esque vibes of the staircase. That light fixture over the stairs was awesome too. Strange that there's so few bedrooms for a house so large. Love the bonus sub-basement.

that chandelier is JUST GORGEOUS!!!!...AROURND 10:34! Would LOVE to have that in my house RIGHT NOW!!!
Ethan back with another fabulous one! Let's hit 100k subscribers!!!!!
Interesting house. Not sure I like that staircase. Weird. Hi Ethan. Hope you are keeping well in the nasty, smoky air. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That kitchen was redone in 90's or two thousands.
Whoa, I almost scrolled on to the next one and Surprise there you were again!!.. Great job, Ethan.. Thank you..
Love the lights over the stairs
That staircase reminds me of Escalators in the Malls. Lol
Yes! I was just thinking this home would have made a great mall! A mini- mall with a nice coffeeshop and cafe. It would have been so fun to shop in! Thank you for showing this unusual place.

I liked the surprisingly large kitchen.
The first house looks way worse then the first time I seen it . But parts still really cool . Ethan, love your stories. NOBODY BETTER!
Freaking awesome house! So much potential.
It's a house built around a stairwell... odd but beautiful. Really sad that all of this will end up in a landfill. I'd love to live there and restore it to it's 70s glory, wallpaper and all.
Love the tour!!! but turning too fast makes me dizzy 😂
My friend built a house in the USA that had a two layered basement.
Track lighting was a 50's-70's thing. It resurfaced again in the nineties.
Hi Ethan 😎🏎,That house looks like it was very cool at one time with all the angles and the height.I wonder who designed that. The glass room was alittle weird but cool at the same time. The first house the stairs is insane I need seen no staircase goes up like that so nice and different wow
I love the track lights and brick floors
What a great find, I don’t where you find these houses, but thanks for all you do.🎉❤❤
I'll bet it was a fantastic home to live I'n , in its prime. Love the glass room.
Really great finds, Ethen!

Would be an awesome home to restore.
Ethan, you need a brighter lamp to illuminate the darkened rooms. We couldn’t see a couple of rooms, just pure blackness.
Ethan, there’s nothing about this house I didn’t love. The staircases are the masterpiece!
Thank you!
Keep exploring safely!🙏💕

Love the hallway light

I just redecorated around a ll those speakers/ intercoms that are all over the house. They leave huge holes in the drywall if you remove them.
19:10 Too bad you didn't have a better light for that secret basement... that is just too freaking cool! It has sub-levels! Makes me think of Resident Evil. 😂

Looks like some snatch and grab done on this home. It’s really unusual and lovely! Glorious in it’s day.
I would walk into those mirrors. very confusing
This should be the house of stairs. Nice kitchen beautiful view outside. The house looks better upstairs it has a bit more character less stairs showing. interesting second house very plain Thanks for the video Ethan.
This place was cool thanks for sharing. Much love to you ❤😊
That view from the front door is chaos. 😳 I could neveah.... 😂
I'd so run into the glass I'm clumsy 😂
You need a better light Ethan! A lot was dark! Cool homes though! 😊😊😊
Gray was never used in homes during the 70’s.
my uncle was an architect/interior designer from 1973 to 2011, yes it was.
A lot of very nice angles in the house cool chandelier❤
That room of all glass. You sure didn't want to trip and fall in that. No flash light again. I see. Or rather I don't see. The whole design design does not seem homey. No warmth. Too "modern". Like I said . An office Building. You seem to be in a rush. An interesting place. Thank you for the walkthrough. Blessings Ethan. Stay safe.
99k, congrats Ethan!
i gasped when you showed the view from the entryway at 0:18. looks like a damn mall! stunning
edit: 3:44 i spoke too soon! 😂
This place look like a maze Ethan 😃
Spider happy to see and greet you Ethan with a nice big web!
You need to get a better flashlight.
Textured walls and ceilings were the "in" craze back in the early 80s my uncle owned a textile business, and that was 1980 I'm sure..
The first house! 😍
I love your videos but where do you come up with these prices?!?!
Wow so much damage from the first time you were there 3 years ago. Still looks amazing though and I’ve never seen stairs like that in a residence before.
Looks like a house built around a staircase. For me it was too bland, and it would take a "mogul" to heat that place, with it being so open.
Thus far Ethan, this is my favorite house. ❤
I would have liked to seen 🏠 in it's prime
Wonder who the architect was?
25:16 the house I grew up in had an oil tank.... hi Ethan good to see you with Angelo and a nice video hope you guys be safe out there 🙏🙏🙏 I might not say to much on here but I do give you a 👍up ❤️ you guys be safe
Wow. Its so sad to see how people have mansions and cannot even enjoy it to the fullest. So sad.
Not impressed with second house but I appreciate you sharing it!👍🙏💕
Beautiful❤
Really cool place wonder who lived there and why it's abandoned. Just think of holidays there.
Love your germaphobic sensitivity Ethan! “I’m not touching that! (The toilet).
Where are your touch gloves Ethan?!
I actually liked the second house. Looked like a cozy little home
Insane. Just like you said.

That glass room was so cool, I wonder what it was used for
I love these videos but they always wip the camera around I get nauseous. 🤢
Wow,this is a weird house serup.Definately original
“Hi” Ethan, missed some homes you were showing
Definitely need a brighter light Ethan!
Such a shame that someone destroyed it.
Definitely has an 80’s feel!
Definitely differently designed
That house is huge and beautiful
