I’ve noticed that my book content consumption has taken a nosedive lately. I’m not sure if it’s because so many of the reels on socials feel repetitive or I’m growing tired of a few of the popular tropes, or maybe the focus on spice alone means I’ve tried a lot of viral stuff lately that just isn’t good 😬 But that’s why I absolutely love your channel and won’t stop anytime soon! You haven’t stopped deep diving and dissecting books, and you’re not afraid to critique a read or give your honest opinion even if you’re an ARC reader or the book is viral. Thank you for remaining a trustworthy spot for romance book lovers!

I've been looking for an audiobook but I have no idea what I'm in the mood for. Hearing you gush about Illuminae has made me realise I really want to listen to that one again. I love the audiobooks of this trilogy. And now I'm also curious to see if I would recognise any of the narrators from romance books. Thanks for putting this book on my radar 😁

so sorry if you’ve listed this somewhere, but what is your rating system? i don’t think i’ve heard you rate a book less than 3 stars!
It was a while back that I listed my rating scale. Haha!
But the reason I don't have many below 3 stars is because I DNF if I'm not liking something. And once I DNF, I don't rate that book.
In 2023, I had about 20 books total that were less than 3 stars.
I just don't force myself to finish books very often. Haha!

AL Jackson's book was decent I just could not stand the OTT suspense element. I also gave it 4 Stars though.
You are more tolerant than I am, Jenn. It’s an automatic DNF for me the first time the hero references the heroine’s “tits.” I don’t even like it when the heroine herself says the word. Why do women still have to struggle with having their body parts reduced to hunks of meat. Ugh. To me it cancels the romance. I know some don’t feel this way, and that’s fine for them, but I do, and plenty of stories out there satisfy me without it.
