You hit a good point. A building inspector that doesn't want to be proven wrong. Instead of becoming a better inspector by having something pointed out, they would rather show their authority and be a prick about it.
Beautiful work! Love the labeling, neatness, and attention to detail, with one exception: the panel cover mounting screws will contact the wires at the top four positions in your panel. You'll never see it as it will only happen when you screw the cover on. Most of the time it won't damage the wire. It did for me... once! Since then I ALWAYS dress the wires far enough back so that the screws cannot possibly touch any of the wires. Those screws are longer than you might think!
Meanwhile... this panel comes with rubber covers that are designed to cover the main breaker lugs as required by the code. Dont get me wrong, the cardboard is a good practice when you have to work hot.

That can't be answered without more information. An electrician would have to calculate the loads you are using at your house to determine whether or not you can safely add another large load.
Always leave extra wire for future might not be as nice looking but good for future also we would sleeve the wire in a conduit going down a wall but we have to run conduit in most areas in all residential in my area Romex is not allowed.
Nice neat job. In Canada we can not go through the main breaker compartment. In fact our panels have a separate inside cover that covers the main breaker area and no path for branch wires to pass through. Also did he leave any slack wire at the terminals.

In most of the new QO panels the neutral is part of the connection when the breaker is clipped into place in lieu of the old pigtail neutrals. So yes it is connected to neutral but internally through the breaker connection

you need a PON (Plug-On Neutral) panel, there's an extra neutral bar under the breakers, PON breakers latch onto it. It's awesome, saves a lot of messing around.

EVERY circuit breaker has a torque rating listed on the breaker (usually in foot pounds) that should be adhered to, however; have only seen maybe 1 or 2 electricians other than myself use it in my 34 years experience...

Another tip a good journeyman taught me is to take a full breath and hold it incase there’s an arc blast because people tend to gasp from being startled and they’ll breath in the vaporized copper and fry their lungs. Probably more important on large loads and medium/high voltage but I always do it on any decent sized breaker.
Where I live , ontario Canada, this panel would FAIL. You can not enter panel at top with circuit wires in main breaker area. Our panels have a barrier isolating the main breaker section. Only seen one person do this on a house that belonged to federal government, their inspector looked at it and took my boss around to show him what a nice job this was, I an apprentice at the time was taken around and told this was the way all other houses were to be done. When our supply authority inspector came he failed the job! Didn't look so good when the journeyman had to put a row of 4" boxes in to splice all the wires he had cut off. Retired 55 year electrician this has stuck with me. Most new builds have panel turned 90 degrees allowing wires to enter directly in a straight line looks good.
The wiring is meticulous but the audio is crappy. If you can't always speak to the camera then you gotta mic yourself. As with running wires, anything worth doing is worth doing right.
Not a good system in my country its 240 ac all circuts equipment and sockets earth leaking protection but we don't use them on lighting just rcbs 200 amp is huge and requires large cabling silly waste we use a 40 amp fuse never blows thanks for reading this

I. Mean that top wires setup looks pretty but to me as an electrician is waste of time and money, just id them.in the panel and the panel schedule and done...! You probably wasted one hr or more making the top of the outside panel pretty and wrote the circuit name twice, I mean to me it actually looks messy not clean work, but for each it's own.

He didn’t need to to there is slack above the panel in the ceiling most likely so it can just be pulled down if needed

Jim this was the first thing I was thinking also. Our panels are not allowed to have circuits come through the top. There's a barrier.
