I agree, they don't need the smut to have a winning show- they already have it.
Actually, carriage scene has been sort of confirmed as being in episode 4 in one of the first interviews with Nicola Coughlan three weeks ago. The interviewer let it slip, Nicola just went with it, looking slightly uncomfortable. And mirror scene has also been confirmed. Colin is undressing her in front of the mirror.
WHAT??!! Didn't know this, thank you!!!
@@thenextseason Nicola mentions the mirror scene in an interview with "Pay or Wait". It's from 3 days ago, minute 16:10. After that, a person on social media, who saw the episodes spoiled that Colin undresses her. As for the carriage scene, that must have been a reel and I can't find it anymore.
My guess is that the reason behind the carriage scene is going to be different in the show. Of course, we know that the carriage scene is after he finds out about Pen being Lady Whistledown and that's why they are arguing and then get steamy. But if Colin doesn't find out about Pen being LW in the Part 1 of the season then it could be that they're arguing about something else in the carriage scene, Colin's bad timing in realizing that he loves Pen after she's moved on to another suitor perhaps? I dunno, just guessing here. But can't wait for this season! 🐝
I’m not watching any of S3 on Netflix until part 2 comes out. I’ve waited over 2 years for S3- what’s one more month?Plus, I’m not feeling this 2 part crap and I hope viewership drops when part 1 is released in protest of it. I don’t pay for a service so Netflix can decide how and when I can binge a show. This isn’t cable television! 🙄
yeah, I just pressed play and was shocked to find that I have to wait for a whole month for part two 😭😭
There is no way that the mirror scene is going to play out the way Colin imagined it in the book... lol
They have really taken liberties with the story line as it seems quite a few scenes deviate from the book. (Eloise's character in the book would never become friends with Cressida even to spite Penelope and doubtful Colin's character would do threesomes...Benedict surely would but not convinced it's in Colin's character). Just my two cents. Nonetheless, I will be watching on the 16th. I'm sure it won't disappoint!
As someone who has read the book that's what I love. I love that they kept our favorite scenes but changed the setting or context so it's still exiting for me. But if they had kept everything the same it would've been really boring
You would be surprised by how much they changed and deviated from the books, at this point one could say it's loosely inspired by it and not an adaptation xD in the book Penelope (and Eloise) were on their... 10th season? Not 3rd. The timeline is not fitting in any place at this point. So you really need to differentiate between both versions
@@AyaHizunashiArts yeah but would you have wanted to wait 11 years (she's actually in her 11th season)? For the show it made perfect sense to not drag it out and switch 3 and 4 bc Benedict wasn't anywhere near ready for Sophie while we had 2 seasons of Pen and Colin getting to that point. Eloise and Pen also didn't have such a big argument, Pen wasn't actively pursuing other men and and and. To me it's important they kept the fan's favourite scenes the rest needed sprucing up anyway as the show is more exciting than the books
The 3some is with Benedict's story .
And the idea that Francesca will gender bend with John’s cousin defeats major plot points of the Francesca & Michael dynamic - which was their strong friendship, Michael inheriting the title, Francesca running the estate, Michael finally professing his love for Francesca, their marriage, and eventually Francesca’s hearts desire of becoming a mother.
All I have to say is doesn’t matter with spoilers, watched theses series many many many many times and still get excited , and Penn is gorgeous
Too many rumors. I want steam but not threesomes and other types of sexual pairings. I don't like that we have to wait a month to see part 2.
A month? A MONTH?!? Ha. Try being the fan of a much better show, Outlander, and having to wait over a year and a half for the release of the second half of a season already filmed, edited, and gathering dust in a can on the shelf while STARZ plays games of so-called cleverness and definite disrespect with its fans. When Chris Albrecht left STARZ, they brought in a misogynist to run the place who mistakenly thought he was smarter than everyone else when it came to release dates.
If they go off the sexuality rails with threesomes etc I will like not be interested in the next season 4.
A few rumored deviations from the books are okay like the kinder gentler Colin because he’s a dick in the book.
Eloise and Cressida friendship is pushing it but may be fun.
Yes, Netflix is really pissing me off. They are splitting every good show now
I cant watch part 1 untill part 2 comes out. I hate waiting but i hate clif hanger even more.
Me too, those things are disgusting, and no matter how much I love this show I will not see it anymore if it will do things like this , even though they have used Benedict for this porpuse, I don't know if I can change my mind for him when its his season
I will so disappointed if they change “ When he was wicked “. Francesca’s story. That’s my favorite book. #6
Micheal better not be a women stop trying to please eveyones feeling and stick to the books!!!
Michael Stirling. It would be impossible if he is in military.
And he is in the military.
I agree!
Exactly, thank you 💯
Agreed! In the Regency Era people didn’t, show PDA, come out publicly and they certainly never married the same sex. Netflix has already taken great liberty with the show and the books. I hope they don’t overstep themselves. I don’t think I’d be a fan anymore if they turn Michael into a woman or make Francesca secretly gay.
It would be easier to use a secondary character and create a lesbian love story then one of the principal characters.
Looking forward to seeing series 3, this reminds Me of me and my husband colin, I loved him before he realised her loved me
It was the exact opposite for me and my boyfriend. I think some part of me knew that he loved me but didn't want to accept it...I realized it a lot sooner than Colin though so I'll take it as a win :)
Counting the days - usa
Best part too.
Pretty sure the carriage scene is in episode 4 and it doesn’t happen like it does in the book. She doesn’t go to the church she gets the copy to the printers, the Modiste does it if you remember from last season. He runs into a carriage after she runs away from Lord Debling and that’s where the carriage scene starts. It’s a totally different story.
And there’s no way 2 years of being LW made her the richest woman in the ton. In the book after a decade of being LW she didn’t even have 10,000 pounds to pay Cressida, imagine how little she has after only 2nd years. That preposterous to think she is that rich.
Unfortunately, young lady. That's how it was back then where men were able to be promiscuous but women were supposed to be virtuous and innocent.
I thought they learned with season 2 that less is more when it comes to smut.
Polin forever 😍😍😍😍😍
The carriage scene doesn’t happen the way it does in the book. There is not church in the show.
There were no 4 episode showings yet, only 1 episode showing yesterday. You have so much wrong info.
Benedict has a threesome in season 2, no one bats an eye. Colin has a threesome in season 3 and people are in an uproar.
People need to understand that pre-industrial age periods, those of higher social classes (specially men) were expected to “sow their wild oats” before marriage. The point was that for starters they would know what to do on the wedding night and ensure the possibility of an heir as if the first day of Union; the s 2nd purpose was so that the men wouldn’t want to stray after marriage, having already been around.
I understand that but I feel like it doesn't match well with my view of Colin for some reason. I can't really explain it
@@thenextseason I understand, it’s like a parent will always view their children as kids even though they are adults. But remember, it’s been like 2 years now? His attitude towards life has changed like say a fresh 18yr old high school graduate versus a 20 year old with real world experience. He is allowed to change.
This video is pointless... We still going to watch no matter what they spill
Yuck. They better not ruin Francesca’s story!!
Or Benedict's!
@@Cygnus75They have already, his behaviour is disgusting. Is he the same in the books?
@@jolie7751 uh you have no idea, the book bridgerton men are so bad like anthony was just straight up abusive in the books. This is like one of the rare times when the show is better than the books
Yeh I’m disappointed
@@mrknight7957 same
I love genderbend tropes but they better not genderbend Michael. Literally anyone else. Genderbent Gareth would be amazing--imagine Lady Danbury with a rakish granddaughter who sweeps Hyacinth off her feet while they hunt for treasure together. The show really needs to ease off that "reformed rakes make the best husbands" bc that really only ever applied to Anthony, Simon, Michael and Gareth, it does not need to apply to every leading man in Bridgerton.
If they turn Michael into a woman I think I will stop watching! I’m all for not sticking to the books literally but that is just pandering to the Woke brigade!
Yesss , Exactly. No matter how much I love this show I would stop seeing it.
bro it is a fan theory
Sorry, it is hard to believe Colin is okay with Penelope being Lady Whistledown! The writings have to remind the audience the harm the gossip column did to his family and other people he loves(ed)!!!
I've read the books and Colin was angry with her, but mostly he was worried about the ton turning on her.
In the books the whole thing with Marina Thompson and Colin never happened (she's just a side character in one of the later books) and usually Lady Whistledown always has good things to say about the Bridgertons, which makes sense as they are a well-liked and respected bunch.
Lady Whistledown basically labeled Colin a jolly good fellow that everyone likes/adores. This made Colin feel even more inadequate, as he still hadn't found "his thing" and he was annoyed that everyone just seemed to see him as a charmer.
Pen and Lady Danbury agreed that Colin could basically get away with murder, he was that well liked.
Which came in handy when he later told the entire ton that in fact his smart, witty, wonderful wife was Lady Whistledown.
Additionally in the book part of his anger about her being Lady Whistledown stemmed from the fact he was jealous of her accomplishments (he realised this after a while), again this was because of his insecurities/feelings of not having a purpose.
Oh and when talking about the harm she caused his family in the show, remember that she also did it to her own family (she does call herself an overripe citrus fruit in those awful dresses in the books, so not as severe as outing Marina), but she always does it to right a wrong/help the people she loves.
If they stick to the books character development-wise than Colin will fall in love with her while he gets to see even more of the real Penelope while their friendship grows. It doesn't seem that far fetched to me that someone deeply in love with a witty person would end up forgiving them for their words, if you knew it was done out of love.
@@CarinaCoffee Thank you for the explanation(s). I strongly disagree with the Colin's "Oh Well" scenes. Penelope selfishly harmed the potential loving relationships of her cousin Marina and her BF Eloise. Unforgiveable! I will easily fast forward the Colin & Pen loving scenes 🤮and enjoy my favs KAnthony, etc.❤❤Looking forward to season 4!.
Ez rettenetesen unalmasra és butára sikerült. A szereplők ide-oda sétálgatnak, a dialógusok ostobák, a sztori lapos, rengeteg felesleges dolog történik, nincs feszültség, nincs kémia. A szereplők sablonosak, elvesztették eredeti karakterüket.
