@@FoosGamingOfficial For sure. Plus, I don't want to pay $200 for an old console just for two games lol. But if the Switch is at the end of it's lifecycle and they're still not out, then I might just do it. I looked at the top Wii U games of all time, and they're pretty much the only games on that list that haven't been ported over (besides games like Deus Ex, etc), so it definitely looks like Nintendo is deliberately holding off on them. And, Nintendo has been known to deny deny deny, only for them to release things later, so you can never know.
@Kyle Hill I've emulated WW and TP too, but I just want a polished experience. The Switch is perfect for them and Nintendo knows it. If you check Metacritic's top Wii U games of all time, those two are high on the list and most of the games on that list have either been ported over or sequeled. I think they are deliberately holding them off until after TOTK.
@Kyle Hill For sure. I mean, if they can port Skyward Sword over, then they can definitely port over those two as well. It doesn't make sense not to. They know so many people want them, and Nintendo is known for denying things only to release later. I'd honestly be shocked if they never released at some point in the future.
First of all its funny how RUclips keeps recommending smaller creators! Crazy how well video production has improved over the years. When a video had less then 1k views you'd be pretty guaranteed to have the laptop mic audio and the editing software water mark. I never thought of your take on things ! Very brilliantly thought out! Definitely earned my subscription! Looking forward to seeing what u do next
i knew they wernt real all long and said so repeatedly i kept saying if they do it wont be til a year after Botw 2 AND they will be full price EACH my prediction now is 2024 and 2025 or they just never come to this switch and maybe come to the successor or they jam it in right in the last year or so
I was hoping for these, especially since I never experienced twilight princess. And, I wasn’t interested in the wii generation of Nintendo so I also skipped on skyward sword until recently on the HD switch version. I know that TLP was on game cube, but I think I was highly focused on the Xbox at that time and never gave it a chance which I regret.
rtYou make an excellent point about Wink Waker and Twilight Princess not really leading into the release for Tears of the Kingdom. Like you say, Tears of the Kingdom has already been one of the most hyped games in Nintendo's catalogue, but I think there's another aspect to it: neither Wind Waker nor Twilight Princess seem to have much of anything to do with Tears of the Kingdom, other than all of them being Zelda games. Tears of the Kingdom certainly doesn't have much to do with the Wind Waker; the art style aside, the setting, the characters, and the plot all seem to diverge significantly. Twilight Princess could have something in common with Tears of the Kingdom, but any connection does not seem obvious. If any game has been released in anticipation of Tears of the Kingdom, then it is Skyward Sword HD: from what little we've seen of Tears of the Kingdom, there are many connections to Skyward Sword, from the sky islands to the elements of Breath of the Wild that have been inherited from Skyward Sword (such as the Goddess Springs). Fundamentally, neither Wind Waker nor Twilight Princess would have set up Tears of the Kingdom as well as Skyward Sword has, which in part explains why there has been no Zelda game this year (in addition to Tears of the Kingdom being originally planned to release this year). Also, I don't think that the case for ports of Wind Waker or Twilight Princess was ever as strong as some people seem to think. Yes, it's true that since Tears of the Kingdom was delayed, there would be no Zelda release this year. It also makes sense to release a Wind Waker or a Twilight Princess ports when there's a gap in the schedule. However, this would really only be true if the gap was planned. It's impossible to know exactly when Nintendo knew that Tears of the Kingdom would be delayed, but it was probably November last year at the earliest - I think that sometime early this year in January or February, maybe even March, is more likely. So, this would leave about six to eight months to come up with a Zelda release for this year. I just don't see that as being feasible. First, Nintendo would need to find a partner who would be willing to make the port(s). That partner would then need to actually make the ports (which basically means a 100% re-write of the games' code), then the game would need to be play-tested. After that, the physical distribution would need to be manufactured and distributed around the world before release. I just don't think that's possible, even for a smaller-scale project like a port of a twenty-year-old game. And no, I do not believe that Nintendo has already made the game and is just waiting for the right moment to release it. That would make absolutely no sense. Why would any business create a product and keep it to themselves for years? During all that time, the product wouldn't be making any money, all the while shortening its time of relevance on the market. The Switch ain't gonna be around forever.
I just got this recommended to me and the production quality and information quality is insane! keep up the good work dude i can’t wait to see this channel grow ❤
Nintendo wants us to rent the games forever with the online subscription. They don’t want us to own every game we want because then why have the service. Dumb.
What frustrates me is that they are literally the only two notable games that haven't been ported to the switch. Mario kart 8, Mario 3D World, Mario Bros U, Pikmin 3, Pokken Tournament, Captain Toad, Hyrule Warriors, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze are all Wii U ports, and Zelda is getting no love at all and I'm baffled as to why.
It's shocking! It would make so much sense to release these on a console that sold almost ten times more than the Wii U! And it would be much more convenient!
Yeah it's so annoying! 🤦♂ I was happy about Mario 3D world and Captain Toad, but the two games I specifically bought the Wii U for before the witch was Wind Waker and Color Splash and now they're stuck on there. Wind Waker is one of the best looking games ever made and one of the best games ever period. Color splash is the most criminally underrated game ever, so full of life and comedy. You can really feel the passion the gamedevelopers put into it. Nearly zero chance of getting WW and TP now, but let's keep our fingers crossed for a surprise drop before xmas! 😁
@@electricturbodata9368 I think it’ll come after TOTK. Nintendo has all their hype around that game atm, and then they’ll probably release them the year after (maybe 2024). I’ve seen theories on TOTK having ties to TP, so it’s possible. Nintendo would be stupid not to release them at all. They know the fans want it.
I still want these games for the Switch! 😭💔 The controllers for my Game Cube and Wii aren’t working anymore, and I miss playing Windwaker and Twilight Princess. 😞
I’ve given up. I’ve been holding out on replaying twilight princess through the whole lifespan of the switch but now I’m just going to set up the Wii U and play it. I’ll be there’s an announcement for the port the moment I complete it. I was waaaaaaay more hyped for a TP port than TOTK
They could always release it for the Zelda anniversary in February. There's always hope. Sometimes Nintendo can be unpredictable. I just want to be able to play Twilight Princess again without having to pay $100+ to get it on the gamecube.
I want these games too but I doubt Nintendo releases them prior to TOTK, especially in 2023. By February they will want all marketing focus on TOTK. Releasing one or two Zelda ports in that time window just doesn’t make business sense. Our last hope is that they somehow magically get announced for holidays 22 but I doubt that. When they re released the Skyward Sword port we got the announcement in Feb of 21 and it didn’t come out until July 21. I imagine that Nintendo would want a similar promo timeline, especially for Wind Waker. My hunch is, if we ever see these games ported, they will be on next gen Switch between TOTK and whatever comes after TOTK
We still have 8 months before TotK releases, and while the last half of March and all of April might be spent with more info on the new game, there's still the possibility of these two (or at least one of them) to be announced between October and January, and at the very latest, a February release date. I'm no insider into these inner workings, these are just my guesses
I think there's still window, oct/nov or dic, are all good months to release it, and lets face it even if u buy WW or TP now, we are ALL still gonna buy tears of the kingdom 😂
My last hope is that they come after Tears of the Kingdom. If not, then I’ll give up hope and buy a Wii U just for those two games.
I have both on Wii U but it would be way more convenient to just play on my Switch! My Wii U is very dusty and in a box somewhere

I did that recently, gave up and bought a Wii U.
I would love to see a HD remake of the Oracle games in a combined package. I feel as though not enough gamers have played them.
@Kyle Hill You want to see a new game with 8-bit Gameboy graphics? That’s not happening.

@Kyle Hill what the fuck are you taking about?
Earliest we can probably expect to see these games (if they were to get ported) would be 2024
Still hoping they’ll come at some point. Still holding onto hope until the end of the year or very early 2023 possibly. 😭

Marketing and business. You should learn more about it.
If they are not porting it, its a very stupid idea. switch is more successful than wii u so why not port it? dont they want money?
I don't know what Nintendo has against making easy money but both of these games are playable on Steam Deck
In an emulator, yes.
I really want there to be another classic top down Zelda remake, like links awakening
Totally agree except back it up a little bit with saying TP and windwaker is better than OoT

There will be no announcement. Move on.
I wish nintendo put all their gas to steam that way, people can buy their fav nintendo game
I mean they put skyward sword on switch
I think you need to research the difference between a remake and a remaster.
if nintendo releases a new console and dont port these games they will never port them
Zelda is my jam.
They don't exist
I think there's still window, oct/nov or dic, are all good months to release it, and lets face it even if u buy WW or TP now, we are ALL still gonna buy tears of the kingdom 😂
With money baba
Damn, sorry if I hit low spot there, not all of us have low incomes :/ no offense

I think there might be a Zelda direct... With 3d collection, tok story trailer and game play... And a Zelda themed switch or switch pro
I'd love a Zelda themed Switch console!
Nope. Just move on.
I hate botw screwed all zelda beatys
