Hey Streaky, I see that you really speak your mind. How GREAT is that! Amazing how many small and BIG things I learned from you in a month time, and for FREE. THANKS
Love this mate. Been mixing for 35 years and mastering for 10 years but sometimes I need a kick up the arse and a refocus. This video did the trick. Cheers. Stay safe.
Great to hear this Streaky. These things have held me so much down in the past. Just starting fresh after a lot of years so this vid came at the right time :)
I love the "just get it done" attitude! Very inspiring, I'm at an intermediate level studying a music degree (production) and it all started from a crappy windows laptop, pirated software, and £10 headphones from Argos. Now, 7 years later I own my own Mac, a ton of plugins from UAD, Waves, Plugin Alliance etc... decent Yamaha monitors, and a ton of other fun stuff including being able to use multi million pound studios! I sound like I'm flexing, but I wanted to give my view on this and just say that this mind set is what works! Keep at it guys!
Thanks for the advice, been bogged down by not finishing my room and having countless delays. You just reminded me that there's a LOT more I could be doing in the interim. Thanks, Bro
VERY GOOD VIDEO ! So True...I do everything ( Play all instruments Rec/ MIX/ MASTER ) & Never will master any of them but just b e Good or OK on them. Like he said there's so many hours in a day in a year & your LIFE to find you nitch and stick with it. Thank you again Streaky, George
Great info. I really loved the way that you used the start of the video as, a further reinforcement of The Streaky Mastering Service. Nice promotion dude!😎✌️👍

hi Streaky, big fan here. 1 Question: which speaker do you recommend me for music listening pleasure in my living room: - Focal Trio 11 - Genelec 8361 - Genelec 8260 - Dutch Dutch 8C - Neumann KH420 Thanks.
All your videos are great! So glad I found this channel, I have been binge-watching, found my new netflix LOL. I have a question on speakers, would I get away with this? I have been making beats on mpc's for 20 odd years, from the old ones to the current mpc live. As far as mixing the beats, is very easy as I'm using the best quality drum kits I can get and just cutting away at the freqs I need to in order to fit the chopped samples/loops etc together and create depth and correct front to back as far as brightness etc, I don't class myself as a mix engineer by any means, but doing the minimal and making use of sidechain compression to duck my bass for my kicks does wonders, and starting with good quality samples etc. So, I have got myself an SPL Qure premium EQ, a TC Finalizer, and I'm getting a Prism Lyra (will also add a couple of good plugins). Thing is I am in a small flat and also coming to the end of a small budget. I am just setting up a small mastering chain to be able to finish my beats how I would like to. I am considering getting some B&W DM603 speakers and a half-decent amp. Considering what I am doing and the origins of the source material I am working with, do you (or anyone else is welcome to chip in) think these speakers will be useable and ok? Light instrumental mastering (also referencing on good headphones) and listening to records? I just want to get started asap tbh Anybodies input is welcome
I understand but disagree. I thinks it's important to understand all aspect of studio. But you can get stuck behind the desk. I am good at everything but I got 26 years of experience.
truly precious knowledge
Really love your videos,im an old time producer since 1985,and you know the Hidden Art,Your a Master,Respect

future guru
Any thoughts on the Pareto Principle (80 - 20 rule)?
Yes 80% of what I say is Rubbish 20% is EPIC 😂😂👍🤦♂️
fucking king man
Great advise. Yea, where are your speakers? What are you using now?
Joey Fernandez kii three
this was unsuspectingly motivational lol
Excellent pleased it helped
Where are your Focals?
subscribed :)
tracks are usually musically fine but comparatively bad .... :) and that gets you back to stage one.... :)This A-B process is the killer ...
Who do i go to for bacon?
No one I’m veggie 👍
Why’d you choose the Kii’s over the Dutch & Dutch?
Lucas Eckel bxt bass extension
Ah, interesting! Didn’t know that existed. I’m considering either the D&Ds or Kii Threes to complement my Amphion One15s in the future.
I understand but disagree. I thinks it's important to understand all aspect of studio. But you can get stuck behind the desk. I am good at everything but I got 26 years of experience.
Where are the Focals? o_O
Silent Gloves binned
@@Streaky_com Decided you didn't like them? Could you provide some more details? They're on my list so I'd be curious to hear your thoughts.
Silent Gloves what’s on the list the Kii’s ? I’ll be doing a new vid on them when my new pair arrive
@@Streaky_com Oh, no I meant the Focals are on my list. I was curious as to why you decided to move to another option.
Silent Gloves they sound better in my room
