Idk what they would be consider price range wise, but I personally like Bridgestone e12’s & e9s the best out of what I’ve played. First time I’ve actually seen/felt a noticeable difference based on the actual balls I use.
Nice review Simon ,what I like about how you review various bits of gear is that you don't gush all over every single club you test telling everyone how its going to make you a better golfer, you seem to tell it how it is .Too many you tube golfers are jacking off over branded gear hoping that contracts are going to come streaming in for free stuff .As you say practice is the key .
I've been looking for some new wedges to improve my short game for quite a while now, but you have proven once again that sometimes cheaper is just the better option! Fantastic video, loving the series so far!!
I agree! Technique > face milling, or grooves. I got a lot birdies off shots with my cheap Pin Hawk lob wedge. I agree about the cheap putters. I went to the golf shop a few months back expecting to buy a new Odyssey stroke lab putter, but after testing them all I came out with a Tommy Armour TA3. It worked better for me, and was less than half the price.
Thank you! With crazy grinds being the new trend this video was what I needed to go practice my second hand wedges more. I'd be interested in seeing a budget putter comparison next.
Definitely food for thought there. Would love to see a cheap putter review as it's commonly the most used club in you bag and everyone seems to forget this.
I like what you say about gapping. I have a 45 degree x forged pw, 50, 56, and 62. My 50 is close to full grind for 135 yard shots, 56 is mid grind for full 115-120 and anywhere below that. 62 is 6 degree low bounce. I'm very good at shortgame.
I think one of the best things to see next simon would be a video on ball position from wedge to driver and how to stay down on the ball. My seven wood 20 Dallas pgf 21 degrees love it
Loving the series good to see golf does not have to be expensive. Would love to cheap Junior sets, having a nine year old playing for three years and growing up so quick
As a golfer on a budget I'm pleased to hear this bargain wedge is good enough. I bought slazenger 60 degree, £9.99 from sports direct. It's great, gets me over bunkers, out of rough close to green and use it up to 30 yards to get it a chance to stop on green 😁 but can still thin it and watch the ball shoot across the green. 😂 I play off 28, my whole set of irons cost £80 and I have been given drivers an other woods. I have older Taylor Made, Cobra drivers and Callaway 3 and 5 Woods. All good enough for my game. Totally agree when I start practicing 20-30 hours a week might think about upgrading my sticks. Until then I will spend money on playing and enjoying my golf, on a budget. Great video and how about reviewing second hand clubs?
Nice to see you listening to the community that you have built from ground up. Keep it up. I’d like to see some budget blades or even just irons, good luck
I really like the concept of this series. It doesn’t have to cost the world to play the great game of golf. What I really liked was you saying that a expensive wedge doesn’t make you play better. It’s so obvious but there are so much knuckle heads out there that think it does! So therefore I would like to see a budget review of an iron set.
Your wedge game sounds a lot like mine. 😋 I've had an a expensive wedge I won. Never could hit it ! Sold it, bought a whole set of inexpensive wedges. Love em ! Great video. I would love to try that one. 👍
I was one of the ones asking for this sort of review so thanks for picking this as the subject for this video. Best line in the video? "You can't buy a good technique!" How true is that!! My vote for the next review (and I know I'll be in a minority with this) would be for an old set of what were really expensive irons. Are they still competitive? Do they still deliver? Is a beginner golfer better off spending their money on something like that, or a cheap box set of eBay or from sports direct!!??
hi simon just been watching your video on cheaper wedges ive just bought the ping g set of irons 2nd hand with a senior shaft more because of the orange dot lie angle and want a bit more forgiveness but its only 5 iron to pitching wedge so was wondering what gap wedge or wedges i should be looking for with the irons being a bit more chunky any suggestions? keep up the good work i enjoy your videos 👍
Hi Simon there bringing out a lot of Matt covered golf balls, does this finish effect the ball Flight, distance or Spin to say a new glossy finish ball.
Very interesting and thorough review Simon, thanks for that. What about reviewing some lower to mid-range brands like MD, Snake Eyes and Benross to see how they compare against the global companies products? MD golf used to be the budget flavour of the day several years ago with some British golf magazines, however you don't hear much about them any more?
Simon, love the review. It would be interesting to hear your views on bounce on wedges. My Vokey 52 and 58 have 12degrees and are difficult in dry, hard conditions, bare lies etc. Great out of lush lies, rough and Burford bunkers.
would love to see a video on what to fill the last few gaps in the bag with. new players often end up with a package set for example, i have D,3w,4h,5i,6,7,8,9,p,g,58w,putter. what do i fill the last 2 spots with? also an explanation on gap fitting, not heard of that and ive watched way too many golf videos on youtube!
How about Scotty Cameron putters... lolz. Putters! My old putter was pants (so was my techinque) Spent a few more quid a one and it's made lot of different and I have confidence over the ball. Is this me or does it actually help! Great series so far Simon. Keep it up bro!
Would love a 56 wedge please Simon! Has to be the flat stick next surely?! I’m forever swapping out my putter and could do with someone telling me that I should either stop or get a top end one/fit!
Again, really liking this bargain review. Would like to see a 5W. Currently got a 3W, but people seem to be saying recently the 5W might be a better option
I'd like to see a vlog on a good inexpensive mallet putter. I was shopping for one the other day and found a putter that was incredible. A major brand model that rhymes with stryder x. I nearly fainted when I saw the price was over $300 for that particular version.
Great video 👌🏻 loving this series already.... would be great to see a utility driving iron or even bladed irons set sometime. Trying to grow my bag as getting back into the game. Would love the wedge 👍🏻
I'd like to see a review on used / good value adjustable drivers. ie New Benross or used Callaway / Taylor Made etc with the emphasis on adjustable please ! Keep up the good work !
Great video ......makes so much sense what your saying ......don’t matter how expensive the club it’s all about the person hitting it !!! Can you do putter next please I’m going to imagine it’s much the same principle lol 👍🏻🏌️♂️
Hi Simon, great video. I'd love to see some budget irons. Only started playing this year and have some awful spoons that were given to me so need some better ones.
Thanks Simon, when you review these type of clubs it would be interesting to know how well they fit you game at course. Meaning, is the carry, spin, land angles the same, is the control overall the same? That’s what matters for golfers, not random shots so much.
Nice to see a channel stressing the importance of playing more than stating the newest club will fix your game. Driving iron nxt 1 or 2 there probably impossible to use but look nice. Would like the club looks nice.
Simon, I have the same problems with wedges. All my irons I hit fine but my wedges go super high and short. As soon as the ball leaves the faces it just rockets up in the air. What did you do to fix it when you had that problem?
Great review as always. I use a putter that doesn't even have a name on it, still hole just as fewer putts as I did when I had a Odyssey putter 😂😂 Putter review next please Simon, you can even review mine if you like, I'm from Thatcham so could deliver to you 👍
Brilliant video! Would love to see a cheap putter review. I can not for the life of me see where the money is in a putter. Putting the ball a few feet in front of you. The only thing expensive equipment does to you is pu pressure on your game. It HAS to work if you have spent hundreds. Where as a cheapo. No pressure.
Found that really interesting. Great to hear that practice is the main thing..... Be careful though - golf equipment companies will want you banned!!! Keep up the good work.
Budget golf balls. Get a bunch of 3 packs of moderately priced balls and compare them. I prefer srixon soft feels but I would love to see how other balls stack up.
Great video appreciate the advice looking at new wedges soon a lot to think about thanks....be great to see a budget ball video of sorts highly marketed v not really marketed type of ball 👍⛳🏌️♂️
When you get back to trying a hybrid I'd love to see you review the Adams XTD Ti hybrid, or maybe do it as a fairway wood. They have mythical status as far as distance.
Great video. 😎 Thought about changing my wedges recently but, after that video, I think I'll hold off and just practice more! Cheers. Would like to see a second hand 3, or 5 wood review. 👍
What about a review of any club where u spend the same on a 2nd hand club from reputable OEM brand vs the same money on a new but relatively unknown brand? Start with the wedge u have there and a 2nd hand vokey wedge with 56* loft. Get an idea of spin and launch control of each.
I would like to find a good value on a 2 iron. I’m not sure how I would like one so I’m scared to spend a lot of money but I want to find a decent cheap one to try out
I've had my best results with my shoe wedge. It can consistently get you out of trouble.
COO Bay mine tends to come off the toe 😂😂
How about a review on golf balls. Cheap vs mid range vs expensive, for the amateur golfer.
Idk what they would be consider price range wise, but I personally like Bridgestone e12’s & e9s the best out of what I’ve played. First time I’ve actually seen/felt a noticeable difference based on the actual balls I use.

Building my first (second hand) set now, bought the SLDR hybrid after I saw your last vid.Need a putter review next 😉
Max Taylorism yes mate love that! See what I can do!
I've been looking for some new wedges to improve my short game for quite a while now, but you have proven once again that sometimes cheaper is just the better option! Fantastic video, loving the series so far!!

Loving the series! Especially for someone trying to build a bag without taking out a loan😂 Would love to see an iron budget set!
Would love to win that wedge! Personally love the finish👍
I like what you say about gapping. I have a 45 degree x forged pw, 50,

Lovely stuff as usual Simon. Given we're still on single clubs, budget-wise, at the minute, I think a putter would be a good next step. Cheers!
Loving the series good to see golf does not have to be expensive. Would love to cheap Junior sets, having a nine year old playing for three years and growing up so quick

John Prideaux had a couple of seve wedges by MD £30 each EBay Great clubs would use again 👍
Simon, love the review. It would be interesting to hear your views on bounce on wedges. My Vokey 52 and 58 have 12degrees and are difficult in dry, hard conditions, bare lies etc. Great out of lush lies, rough and Burford bunkers.

Simon could you compare a old wedge to a new one , my wedges are a few years old now and I wondered weather it's worth upgrading.
Love your channel Simon one of the best around and getting better mate brilliant content keep it up 👍👍👍

Great series! There are so many cheap wedges and putters that either another wedge or a putter would be interesting
awesome review! I've always wondered if it would matter for a mid handicapper and I just so happen to be in the market for a new set of wedges!
I’d love to see some budget irons also would love to try that wedge out to test against my vokeys 👍🏌️♂️
Nice to see a channel stressing the importance of playing more than stating the newest club will fix your game.
Driving iron nxt 1 or 2 there probably impossible to use but look nice.
Would like the club looks nice.
Still keen on seeing a cheap mallet putter. Would love to start with a specialist wedges in the near future. 🇦🇺👍
This great, been looking for a decent cheap wedge. would love to see budget irons too.
Budget iron set is the most intriguing to me! Looking to get a graphite set
A bargin 5w or hybrid would be amazing!! Good video, and yes, it mostly comes down to the player and their technique not the tools!
Simon, I have the same problems with wedges. All my irons I hit fine but my wedges go super high and short. As soon as the ball leaves the faces it just rockets up in the air. What did you do to fix it when you had that problem?
I think that's a Beautiful wedge and would love to have it in my Bag keep up the good Content
Great review Simon. What about component clubs. Are they any good?
Great review as always. I use a putter that doesn't even have a name on it, still hole just as fewer putts as I did when I had a Odyssey putter 😂😂
Putter review next please Simon, you can even review mine if you like, I'm from Thatcham so could deliver to you 👍
Another great video, can't wait to try out the sldr from the last one. Many thanks🙂
Thanks for the review and result I wanted. A driver review next please. What’s the least you can spend to get a good one.
Great video! Would love to see some fairway wood reviews! Keep up the videos mate!
Love the series! I am trying to turn into a low handicap golfer and my short game will push my handicap down. That being said do a putter review next🤔
Loving the series ⛳would love to see some cheap irons being tested
Found that really interesting. Great to hear that practice is the main thing..... Be careful though - golf equipment companies will want you banned!!! Keep up the good work.
Great video! For the next bargain video a 3 wood or 3 hybrid would be really useful.
Loving the content. Thinking of beginning golf again. Really appreciate the candid opinions. Next review............balls.
Martin Scott get back into it mate! 💪
Budget golf balls. Get a bunch of 3 packs of moderately priced balls and compare them. I prefer srixon soft feels but I would love to see how other balls stack up.
would love to see budget irons. Found your channel and love all the info you give out.
I want to see a bargain putter video. See if the Scotty is really worth it, or if a $30 Wilson will make putts just as well.
Well done mate .thanks for listening. Good review as well .maybe you should do cheap putters next
Great review you always give honest ones Simon good for you 👍
Comparing you’re experience to tiger and mcalroy.... priceless lol 😂 would like to see an old putter tho
Great vid. Would love to see a putter because i need a new 1 on a budget.
Putter for sure. Arguably the most important club in the bag, so I would love to see if you really need to spend the money on a big name flat stick
Great video appreciate the advice looking at new wedges soon a lot to think about thanks....be great to see a budget ball video of sorts highly marketed v not really marketed type of ball 👍⛳🏌️♂️
Great vid Simon. Good advice. Would like to see a 3 hybrid tested out
When you get back to trying a hybrid I'd love to see you review the Adams XTD Ti hybrid, or maybe do it as a fairway wood. They have mythical status as far as distance.
Going a bit off the beaten track here, but how about a chipper?! Great little club for many a club golfer. Cheers
Definitely would be interested in a driver video. By far the most unpredictable part of my game
I admire your honest reviews .Putter next week please.
Nice! Let’s see a budget putter - can it keep up with the Spiders and Scottys? 🤔
THANKS FOR WATCHING GUYS! Make Sure To Comment Below what you want to see in the next episode!
Think it was a dynacraft driving iron. That s on Amazon, a muscle back 2 iron 18° for 50quids xd, can t be that bad or hard to hit xd
Great video. 😎
Thought about changing my wedges recently but, after that video, I think I'll hold off and just practice more! Cheers.
Would like to see a second hand 3, or 5 wood review. 👍
Scott Kelly practice is key pal! Good luck with it mate 💪
Just started playing golf really enjoying it got myself some really really cheap second hand rusty clubs would love the wedge 😁
Should have tried the Texan Golf wedges, they are only $49.99 for a set of three
I'd love to see an iron set! Great video! Loving your channel.
TermiNaTe_Nate thank you mate appreciate it!
Cheaper balls please in the studio to see spin and distance comparisons, great content keep it coming
So true Simon it's not the club it's how you hit it, how's the left hand handicap going?
Good mate! Slow progress but coming along 👌
I'd love to see you review some pinemeadow putters. they're super cheap, and I've always wondered how they are
Simon, can u take the TM M6 driver and melt away the speed foam somehow so effectively hot melting it to see if the driver becomes illegal?🤔🤔
Mickey Wong not sure if that’s possible but definitely going to have a look now for sure. Haha.
I'm interested in bargain putters. I don't know what could possibly be worth the asking price of a Scotty Cameron.
Great info. Next up a beat up old Scotty Cameron putter.
Beautiful scenery..
putter review - im still rocking some dinsoaur from 1980 (it still works fine LOL) but lets see whats out there!!
Good advice Simon, I got some cheap wedges of AliExpress n I love them 👍
I’d love to win the wedge it looks awesome! You should make a video on the Cleveland launcher HB irons for mid to high handicappers!
I’m here to raised video profits for more gifts for viewers👍🏾 great job giving back
I'd like to see a cheap driver review!
How about bargain putter or driving iron. Beautiful looking wedge. But my wedges are set
What about a review of any club where u spend the same on a 2nd hand club from reputable OEM brand vs the same money on a new but relatively unknown brand? Start with the wedge u have there and a 2nd hand vokey wedge with 56* loft. Get an idea of spin and launch control of each.
ive been getting ads on instagram for budget golf clubs made by stix.golf and i would love to see you review them
I’d love to see some old bladed irons!!
Looking forward to the success of these videos. Can't wait until the views are stupid high and the budget ends up being $400.
Are there differences between the materials used in the head compared to other wedges?
I would like to find a good value on a 2 iron. I’m not sure how I would like one so I’m scared to spend a lot of money but I want to find a decent cheap one to try out
Putters! Putters can get CRAZY expensive, but how bad do those
Love this series, why not look at cheap/lake golf ball quality/value si grades of ball pearl/grade a/b
Subbed, in need of a new wedge.. well actually a wedge in general. Don't currently have one..
Good video...Just keep telling people to practice since this is going to make you better. A bargain driver test would help
I never miss putts, my putter does. Let's see if I need to upgrade my budget putter or if, maybe, it's just me.
