I am a total equipment junkie and have been to fittings and watches fittings of buddies at different fitters and watched many hundreds of fitting videos. Alex is THE BEST FITTER I HAVE SEEN. AMAZING KNOWLEDGE AND DEMEANOR. Tip of the hat to you Alex, you are top drawer.
I can vouch for his selling technique. I went to him for a fitting and was swing like shit definitely not to my handicap level. He said "its up to you but how about you leave it today and come back another day when we can fit you in to a club that shows your true potentional." I was absolutely amazed he didn't even charge me for his time as he was more bothered about being a decent guy/ a good representation of his clubs and fitting style. No pushy style just lets his product do the talking. He is a scholar amoung us mere mortals.
I've never EVER seen such an awesome fitter. I wish you the very best and No ownder you're gonna have a wide clientele in the future. Thanks to SAS Golf for that video.
£400 with a fitting included for a brand new set of clubs tailored to your game is an absolutely banging price. Great fitting info too, Alex really knows his stuff.
Myself and a mate Had a fitting with Alex today and it was great to have everything explained so well and seriously interesting too! I've seen a few of these videos on RUclips now with alex and there's no slacking on the experience just because of the great deal that is being offered. Alex was welcoming and and straight too the point ! Great guy, great fitting ,great iron offer !
What a fantastic offer from Orca. Living here in Thailand, the offer doesn't help me too much but if I lived in the UK,wow. Good of you to bring this to people's attention Simon.

I got some help off of Alex a few years ago. An absolute gentleman, he called me and talked me through everything with so much humility considering how little I knew. Genuinely top bloke.
Love this, without guys like you supporting the brand we wouldn’t be here. So we give out all to get it right, from the call to the build session and after care 🙌🏻
this video just proves what I have long suspected about ALL the club fittings I have done with the top fitters in my city - they are all just bullshit. hit a few balls with your 7 iron, swing the Mizuno shaft optimiser, and find the head you like. no analysis of spin, shot result, adjustment of lie, loft etc. Wishing you every success Alex & ORKA - if I was in the UK I'd be in for a fitting pronto.
Well I was looking at getting a set of older p770’s, but since I’ve never been fit and not knowing what specs I’d need, seems a bit mental to not go for a fitting for the RS1X’s and come out with a brand new set that I know is optimal for me. Also love the fact that these aren’t just some loft jacked power bats! Close to a 2 hour drive for me but seems like it’ll be worth it
I love that he said hit 10-12 shots with your club. Most fittings/fitters go hit 3 then we will start. Or hit 6 then they pick 3 to compare to the “fitted” club.
In an ideal world we’d get you hitting 20+ each time, but you’d be knackered within the hour 😬😉👊🏻 it’s all about collecting consistent data to analyse.
Great video again, with some great insight into how fitting can affect your swing (and a bit of humour)! This fitting is a fantastic opportunity. To be honest, it would be worth it even at the normal price. Don’t know if I’ll ever be good enough to justify this fitting, but I’ll keep working on it!
Thanks Richard, we’re the last surviving true British golf brand. 39 countries, 40’awards, feel very lucky. And love that we’ve potentially found a new brand fan 😊👊🏻
There are many golf channels I have stopped wathcing over the years. Yours genuinely has been the most fair and unchanged since the beginning. I enjoy every video as a "tinkerer" I think you deserve way more views for content and entertainment value. Golf is way to an expensive of a hobby this video proves that. Even if that fitting was 6-700 it would have help more than 95% of fitters out there.
Thanks for the video Simon! After watching I decided that I need to go and catch a flight to visit Alex. Order placed and I'll be heading over, hopefully, before Xmas. Totally trust that I will receive a proper proper fitting rather than what AG have extra of in stock lol
2k for a fitted set is carnage! Happy to help you anyway I can via email or phone, whether it be Orka related or any other brand. “Knowledge is Knowing” and “Sharing is caring”
I'm not far from Leighton buzzard so have messaged him for a fitting. The offer is "from £399" which is always slightly worrying 😂 hoping i can get them bent 2 degrees strong to fit in with the lower end of my bag. I dont carry a 5 iron any more. Go down to 6 iron and then a 5 hybrid. Ideally want 4 degree loft gaps. My 5 hybrid is 24 degrees.
Wow! Outstanding value and terrific fitting. Wondering what your thoughts are on loft vs club length. I could play their 5 though PW and those lofts would match up with my 6 through gap wedge but the club lengths would be 1/2 longer for the clubs with equal loft (my 6 iron at 29 would be roughly the same as their 5 iron at 28). For a mid handicap golfer, is it easier to hit a stronger lofted club at shorter length or less lofted club at longer length? For example, is it generally easier to hit a 29 degree 6 iron or a 28 degree 5 iron?
Hi Dan, I took a back step, spent time with family, the most precious thing we all take for granted. But back at it and love seeing golfers get the information and service their hard earned deserves. Stay well 😊👊🏻
Agreed very impressive fitting. It would be interesting to know what the swingweight was with the 1/2” longer shaft, I’m guessing close to your Muira 7 iron promoting a positive swing path and flattening the lie angle 1 degree improves FTP thus stopping the left miss. Why would you go and spend £1000 off the shelf when this quality and service is available?
1/2 inch would have added 1 swing weight, which would have been D3/D3.5 a total of 3 swing weights lighter than his Miura still. Which would be approx 9gm difference still. Glad you enjoyed the video Simon 😊👊🏻
Simon great content orka and Alex are fantastic quality equipment and the best fitter about and this offer for a top quality fitting with top quality equipment is unbelievable and there’s something for every level of golfer in it. There’s no 5 iron lofted 7 irons and everything is forged including the free wedge there’s a great choice of quality shafts and grips. Its shocking none of the other golf RUclipsrs have picked up on this especially as orka is miles in front of caley golf on quality ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dose this price include the shafts and grips to? I’m not that far away from Alex so definitely worth a trip down as I’m playing with hand me downs that are all different size heads and lengths
damn you Simon. i cannot think of any other golf influencer that has tempted me to spend my money more than you have! finally broke 90 this weekend with an 86, thinking i got my game figured out, and this video comes out. the deal does seem like an absolute steal. :( they also dont look too different to the Mizuno MP20 HMBs that i have, and with a chance of getting them perfected fitted to me, shaft, weight lie etc. too tempting Simon...
Side spin, decent angle dictated by the golfers swing characteristics not the club. Back spin is dictated by the shaft, head and swing characteristics combined. Back Spin was discussed which is ball spin 😊👊🏻
@@aleccomben2126 ,interesting. I was hitting the ball too high with all clubs. Switched to a softer ball of the same manufacturer (less spin) and I gained distance from a lower ball flight.

Because the sandy office was our accounts and department and warehouse. Sadly not the fitting HQ where I’m personally based. Sorry you couldn’t get through to me. Apologies.
Anyone get these in the USA? Looks like they have Express 2-11 day shipping. I could use some new irons, and need the loft, as I'm a slower swinger. Either these, or buy a new set of used irons from 15-20 years ago...

All about loft, head design ( cg location )and shaft mate. The way Orka heads are designed and fitted is that you can have a more traditionally lofted 7 iron and get great carry and distance. All about the way the heads presented at impact. By no means your t150 lofted at 32 degrees isn’t optimal, just the way Titleist and many manufacturers build their heads to be good for the public. It was nice for me to see a different outlook on clubfitting and building however when working with Alex! Thanks for watching Pete!
Not wrong at all. Some companies set the loft more aggresive for more distance, easier to hit a 7iron at lower loft (shorter shaft, easier to hit) to go further vs using a similar lofted 5 iron in a longer harder to hit shaft.
My old Tommy Armour 855’s 7 iron is 36deg. In contrast I have a Cobra Forged Tec X which is 27deg. For a regular senior this produced a pretty useless Exocet ball flight.😏
Everyone's game and swing is different. I'm in the same boat where I want more spin, so I bought blades where the 7 iron is 35°. My ball flight is significantly better than "game improvement" irons I first used that had 30° loft in the 7
@@rb8999 I'd agree with that too little loft lacks spin.... Esp 7 irons 29degress I moved from zx4 irons 29deg to t150 and got 5 yds more distance more spin more height 👍
Statistically, there isn’t sufficient information to draw a conclusion here. Fron an analytics point of view, applying a Normal Distribution, the sample size per club has to be greater than 30, otherwise you will make inaccurate assessments. Assuming we care about the data...
I have to agree Cato, otherwise a mid handicapper has to hit 30 shots with every head, shaft, lie, length combination to have accurate data… which then leads into fatigue…
@@Catojay-z8s Yes it is. His average distance could actually compare to some strong, but inaccurate high handicappers, including long distance pros. Where it starts to matter is the variance and other higher-moment calculations. Again, assuming you care about the data...
