it never fails you really get to know your true family greed when it is time to read the will
Ain’t that the truth
You are so right. It really makes you question the core moral values and their gread etc of the people who you thought you knew. Does it really think that it will make them happy?
Sometimes family doesn't even wait for the will to be read!
An acquaintance of mine relayed a story about her grandmother.
The grandmother was bedridden for a couple of weeks before her death and when her children and other extended families came to visit after they were done visiting the grandmother they put colored stickers on all the possessions.
After the funeral, everyone showed up at the house and took all the items that corresponded with their sticker.
Grandma got the last laugh because she left everything to the church and had had a video inventory done of her house and its contents and the family that had helped themselves had to sheepishly return everything!
@@williamegler8771 grandma had the last laugh brilliant
My crazy first cousin removed everything she could from her mother’s home while we were less than a mile away at the church during the funeral!! Pure GREED! 😡😡
I found out how your family can turn on you when it comes to wills and money.. it was a sad awakening..
It wasn't family, it was associates.
Extremely sad. Been through it with my husband family and then my family.
I think this shows that government should never receive money from inheritance. If you die and leave your family a billion dollars the government does not get a penny.
And they condone it
Hayes is so honest about his professional motivations. Not pretending it's for the love of art or anything else. There may be some that, that offends, but I don't undercharge for my services either.why should anyone?
I thought the same. He didn’t try to BS, he said he wanted to make a whole lot of money. I would have too.
His views on hospitals was/ is valid for sure. I feel the same way after working in one for decades. Gallbladder surgery is fairly routine though anytime one undergoes anaesthesia can produce risk.
Listening to this doco bought back childhood memories of what our father told us about his mother's death and the events that took place after. The vultures came out of the closet and my dad at one stage buried antiques and part of her collection in the grounds of her home. Very tragic.
It's so sad, greed and money 😢
My grandmother died 23 years ago and her estate is just now getting settled this year because of a greedy cousin wanting a triple portion of her estate..
Wow that is insane . I saw on one of these shows earlier today something called a "poison pill" , basically you write in your will that if anyone contests the will for any reason they get a maximum amount of say $5. Seemed like a very smart idea.
@@shari9721I seen that today also. 💡
wow tell me more please why was your cousin so gready
tell me more@@bosslady1188
That's insane! But family gets crazy when money is involved. I seen it before.
Andy Warhol grew up in McKeesport Pennsylvania a steel mill town. Our mailing address was McKeesport too. I can remember my mum and dad always talking about that.
How cool !
Mum? That's an English word that Americans don't use
@@itoo3654 that is what my mum and her siblings called their mother too. Grandfather was called Daddy. We have very strong UK, Scottish and Irish heritage. My grandfather used many British words.
Me too.
Yep I would rather quit what’s owed ..Personally I wish I could have my parents back even for one more day
The reenactment lil boy in the Miranda priestly wig is too much!! Lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Agreed...too creepy looking😆
So basically there was collusion to lower the value of the estate between the foundation and Christie’s to lower the amount of fees the foundation would pay to charity, the judge was appointed by the foundation and it was underestimated by around a quarter of a billion dollars.
It is shocking no one is jailed for this.
Christies has a long and well documented history of shenanigans. One of the more recent examples is the ratings of retro video games. This is similar to how comics, baseball cards, posters, etc are rated by rating companies based on quality, condition, and rarity. For instance a comic worth $1000 on the market could potentially be worth $5000 if rated high enough. If you do some digging on what happened with video games you'll be floored at what was going on behind the scenes (and still is going on to this very day, or at least last I checked). What happened with collusion and Andy's estate is just sickening but funny enough these types of things rarely, if ever get exposed and/or criminally prosecuted.
@@ForeverConsciousResearch it certainly makes one question ever trusting them. The commission is so much higher on items they auction because of their name.
This name is because of the items they sell but they take credit literally to be renowned as perhaps the biggest auction house in the world. Grading items is obviously affecting market value also. I’m just so disappointed that they essentially colluded to avoid the charity’s profitability and they still somehow hold the image of greatness.
Since the values have gone up, the foundation should be paying more as well.
Candy Darling - she's mentioned in Lou Reed's Walk on the wild side.
i drove a cab in NY and saw him on park ave and was trying to offer him a ride for free but i think he got scared and kepy avoiding me--im actually sorry for that, he was recognizable from many blocks away
Probably thought your were a creepy stalker 😂
@@larsvonrinpoche1229 definitely, but i would have given him a ride for free
Andy was a pervert, David soul talks ABT what he did
Money always gets the best of people. Sadly Andy had no real friends. Everyone was with him for his fame and worth. Sometimes it’s best to be less popular and humble and live a simple life with family that care about besides money
Any surgery is not routine …all surgery has risks. 😢
Exactly. On top of that the contra indication of anaesthesia is death. Not to mention blood clots post surgery. That is to mention a few. Not so routine after all.
Wanna know one of AW's secrets? He used to put miniature cameras inside toilet bowls when other famous people visited his place obviously in order to capture certain parts of their anatomy. How creative is THAT? Wow. Oh, that and collecting cookie jars.
Where did you hear this ? Sounds like conjecture & not fact. Respectfully I ask for any all receipts. Thank you kindly
Marc
The actor playing him looks like a ghost that glows in the dark, wearing sunglasses 😂😂😂😂
Andy Warhol said “It’s Not Art If It Doesn’t Offend “🌺
Well he would, wouldn't he!
Not money brings out the worst," the love of money. "Kjv
I went to his exhibition in London, during the early 90s. At the time, I did not appreciate his work until I studied design and learnt to look at art and design through a different lens.
Like the pile of bricks shown at the Tate in the early 70s ?
The controversy surrounding “Equivalent VIII” continues to resonate, and it remains a testament to the power of unconventional artistic expression
Cut out the dramatization. Just tell the story. Short and ...whatever he is.
There's a book about this: Death and Disaster, by Paul Alexander. It pushed the idea that Fred Hughes wasn't truthful about the contents of the Warhol estate, and that he tried to avoid paying the fees to Ed Hayes. But it also implies that Hughes never betrayed Warhol during his lifetime.
Greed is one of the 7 deadly sins.
Warhol was an ad man and marketer. That's all. Not really an artist in the fine artist sense.
Fine arts and graphic arts require different skills
Vultures
Pure greed...
Loved his farrah fawcett n she was artist as well like. Johnny depp
Very valuable. Renoir
a sad little man surrounded by vultures
Wow, he didn’t leave anything to his family. Just provided his brother with a job working for the foundation.
Yeah, such a great guy. He got out, was sent to college by dad, and didn’t even leave them enough to take a nice vacation. He never did impress me.
@@TheDriftwoodlover His parents died before him. Yes, they sacrificed to put money aside to give him the proper education, seeing who he was. And for him not to do anything for family . . . I wonder if he felt his brothers didn’t stop boys from picking on him and beating him up when he was growing up, or what.
He loved art above all else 😅❤❤❤❤
He put his nephew through seminary school as well as supported his mother until her death. He picked up tabs for everyone at the Factory paid all members commissions for sold portraits & was very generous throughout his life which explains why he left his money to the foundations as his family had been well taken care of in his lifetime.
They said he left $250000 for each brother , I think some for friends and the rest to charity
My loved ones can proceed me in peace since I'm FLAT BROKE❤
L❤VE this Program 👍👋 from 🏴England
Warhol's Estate value would have to be priceless nowadays.
Yes 😅
I'm trying to take this documentary seriously but I keep seeing Bill Hader in Men in Black movie loll
Shame the vultures got in, what a legend he was.
Warhol had an artistic eye for what would be popular. He and other successful male artists rode to the top on some of the creative inventions and artworks of female trendsetter.
Sounds to me like all of these guys had deep conflicts of interest. A person who is on a board of directions should not be the one to conduct the appraisal. They should have hired an outside expert firm with no financial interest in the estate to conduct the appraisal.
when a Wealthy and Famous Individual Dies SUDDENLY,it is the People Around him that SUFFER the Consequences of WHAT will HAPPEN NEXT !!!
I feel a bit like I wasted this 50 minutes on this person.
The charity would be run my opportunists and crooks.
When you have interviewees saying stuff like "Andy never drank tea or coffee or anything..." when there are literally hundreds of photos of the man doing just that, it calls into question the integrity of the video's content 🤔
He also drank copiously at Studio 54. Shoddy reportage.
He was also a total pervert according to David Soul
When someone dies, your whole family fights over your stuff.
The opening shot of a dead Andy being resuscitated - Andy looks like a 20 year old model with a wig - bad casting.
There’s nothing like a wooden toilet seat.
Ha!
Especially when they split
My father died of a massive heart attack, he hated hospitals, we knew he must've had signs before, maybe weeks or months before, I'm the same way. I can imagine Andy had a hard time, being shot ? That's traumatic to the Nth degree.
The lawyer dry-crying over his lawyers fee was so funny 🤣
The party scene now seen for what it is.
The Bible is right on about money.
How on earth do you do all this without registering the death ?Probate etc
Basically everyone wanted a huge piece of Andy Warhol.
Such a shame he died just because of a routine operation, that must have been preformed by the millions. It’s so sad. 😢
What's at the factory now?
How is gallbladder surgery “routine”
I had to *beg* to get mine removed. By that time I weighed 98 lbs. at 5’6” and the gallbladder was totally calcified.
Actually no surgery is routine
Because it done so frequently, but yes no surgery is without risks. He may had an undiagnosed heart problem. My best friend’s sister died suddenly in her 50’s due to an undiagnosed heart problem. So it happens. It’s unusual for someone to die from routine surgery.
My grandmother had one in her mid70s in the early 1970s and amazed the doctors at how quickly she was back to her routine of walking a few miles. All depends on how you take care of yourself. He let the gallbladder fester inside him too long. Who knows why the heart gave out.
at the time they said it was indeed negligence on the part of nurses......the art world is very shady. lots of low lifes making big bucks......i met andy and his gang twice : viva was wonderful....
Executor & Lawyer were Greedy opportunists. Foundation Questionable? Ridiculous excluded family who needed a Lawyer who would contest the will. All properties should have been locked & secured!
Glad family did receive compensation from the hospital because all of the other Lawyers & the Foundation received millions
Valarie Solanus, Had Already Did Andy, IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
'Blue Marilyn' sold for $195.4 million in 2022.
What a bunch of vultures descended on him

Your “revolver” in the drama is a 1911, which of course is a semi-auto.

...especially Andy Warhol...????
His not drinking anything was the cause of his needing gallbladder surgery
Pure greed
A regular cheese platter ...
Long, slow, extremely repetitive, boring. Should have been no more than 20 minutes long.
INNOCENT?? I doubt it.
The show says Andy was shot with a revolver and then it shows him getting shot with an automatic
To my untrained eye it looked like a revolver. :)
That's your main take from this video?
@@MarlinWilliams-ts5ul Not "main" but I did notice it
There are not 7 deadly sins. Just stick w Moses 10.
This is the DUMBEST view of Andy . . . it's absurdly irresponsible, plus infringes on my copyright holdings, enforceable by US Copyright Law. 92B. REPORT
What
Andy was a typical male, he used women to advance himself, aka he needed a woman as his muse/inspirational 👋
Ladies, make sure that you also get what you want in any relationship with a male 🎉❤
Warhol was anything but typical.
Which women ? Edie Sedgwick sister just wrote a book refuting her previous claims of neglect & malfeasance. Andy adored women his mother & all of his muses. To speak of the dead who can no longer defend themselves is indescribably vile.
I don’t understand what’s so great about this guy?🥹
That’s why he is Andy Warhol.
He was a magnificent man artist who feed the homeless & went to church everyday. His legacy will never end regardless of all the people who fail to recognize his singular vision of art versus artifice
Visionary altruistic genuine authentic multi talented and remains so in death. Read up on him before you make assumptions & make ill mannered ignorant blanket statements.
