It is getting more and more problematic finding clothes ( and I’m living in Sweden so a country where handicapped people, age pensioners ,people with sick pension , unemployed etc have relatively good social security systems ) I do see where you are coming from but at the same time avoiding donating in the country creates other problems for example problems with communication , clothes, medications etc and most of the time with very few exceptions We can’t get anything in installment plan because Not high enough income even if one has no previous payment issues .underwear and other personal hygiene things becomes an investment. And I’m privileged because I’m an academic who got sick. ( writing this on a donated communication device) So it’s not really that simple ... my solution would be do 50/50 .

The oldest clothing items in my closet are plain soft slightly drapey tees with long curved hems so I can wear them with leggings! I don't feel bad about buying a couple more of shirts like that because I know I'll use them! Just thought that kinda went with your idea of cleaning up your closet 🤗
I love watching decluttering videos for some reason and I have a lot of clothes that I never wear and I know I’m getting new clothes for Christmas so I’m going to look through my clothes tomorrow and see what I need to get rid of and donate and what clothes I can keep because I have a lot
Oh!!! I did my closet reset 3 days before Kalyn. I found my last 3 years diaries😂 It was filled with my past relationship dark memories, victim statements. When I read those I were taken to those days. I think, I still have that scars inside. As you said, Pain is inevitable but suffering is optional. I tore everything and burned them away. I could feel a new feeling that I couldn't explain. Burning gives me a feeling of salvation❤💕 Thank you my most beautiful lady!!!😍🎶🌿🎅
Wow, your closet looks like a small boutique shop - I literally would not know what to do with so many clothes! I love that you’re trying to minimise though - minimising literally changed my entire life! Would love to see more videos from you on that topic! Minimising is different for everyone though - all my clothes fit comfortably in a small wardrobe with one drawer and a 4 ft rail! My cooler weather clothes are on one side of the rail and my warmer weather clothes on the other side. I have no trouble deciding what to wear in the mornings as I wear the same clothes for 3 days in a row (unless a spillage happens, I get caught in pouring rain or I’ve got a party or event to go to) and then I switch (for hygiene’s sake!) to another outfit for the next 3 days and so on - and ALL of my clothes (except for my two party outfits) are suitable for walking my dog in, whatever the weather! 😄 It’s funny how different people can use clothes in such different ways! Anything I do buy has to be a necessity or to replace something worn out, but I buy good quality clothes so usually everything lasts ages. My clothes have to be basic enough not to look strange whatever the fashion of the moment and be flattering (I hope!) but most importantly comfortable and practical. I have exactly 5 pairs of shoes: flip flops (or thongs as you call them!), slip on canvas sneakers (which are what I wear the most), sports trainers, walking/hiking shoes and rubber boots for when it’s pouring rain. Every pair goes with every item in my wardrobe. The only colours I wear are black, dark blue, grey and crushed pink (can’t remember exact name but it’s the one you used to love and buy all the time 😉) but I really don’t wear a lot of black anymore because my puppy sheds a lot of white fur! I never buy white or cream and avoid it even in socks and underwear so that I don’t have to separate my clothes when it comes to washing them. My socks are all black and in the exact same design so I never have to bother pairing them after they’ve been washed or worry about losing one and ending up with ones without a pair! I always travel extremely light by simply bringing some detergent and hand washing my clothes in the sink or bathroom basin when I’m on the go which means I can get away with only bringing two changes of clothes wherever I travel so I only have a carry on when I fly. It also means I can go on all sorts of hiking or cycling holidays (where you travel from place to place each day) because my travel backpack is so light. I have just two pairs of earrings, one necklace and one waterproof yet elegant watch, all of which I can shower in without any risk of damage. And the only makeup I ever wear or travel with is one nude lipstick and a black eye pen. I keep my nails clean and short so as to never spend money on nail polish, remover or run the risk bending back a long nail (ouch!). I’ve even had laser hair removal so I never need to shave or carry shaving stuff with me, or waste time plucking or waxing. I carry a small tube of moisturiser for face and body with a high SPF factor to protect my skin from the elements and it works great as lip balm or lip gloss too. I used to shop till I dropped, be constantly trying to organise and reorganise my things and hated packing with a vengeance! All until the day I felt mentally and physically overwhelmed by all my ‘stuff’ and the long hours I had to work to keep buying and replacing it all as well as trying to keep up with changing fashion. Now I’ve quit my job, grow my own fruit and veg and spend less than a quarter of what I used to which allows me to write novels for a living (I’m published by Penguin Random House) which I can do whilst on the road or from anywhere in the world. The only shopping I do is online as I hate crowded shops and places and the mad rush of consumerism, and my life consists of basically only doing what I love. I’m never alone as my puppy comes with me wherever I go and is the best and least-demanding travel companion I could ever wish for!! I know you’d never want to live life my way, just as I’d never want to live life the way you do - but those differences in people like us is what makes the world so interesting. I love watching anything to do with minimalism - even if it’s watching someone like you go through a closet the size of a small shop (with probably triple the amount in storage!) and only throw out a small pile of clothes! 😂 But good for you for even going that far - everything big has to start with that tiny first step, and if ever you decide to minimise any further, I’ll be cheering you all the way!! Step Three - don’t go out and buy anymore fast fashion to fill up the space again. If something breaks repair it. If it can’t be repaired maybe replace it with something that’s ethical and sustainable and will last. 🙏 you have so many beautiful clothes you should be sweet for a couple of years at least.
one thing i do that helps alot is putting all your summer clothes tank tops bikinis tshirts into a bin and mark summer then the rest under fall/winter. so much easier.
Have you considered doing the Marie Kondo folding technique for your drawers? Game changer for me-now I can see everything I have vs. when I used to stack everything.
you should add a pair of black or white Converse Sneakers (hight top or low top dose not matter) you can dress Converse up or down and they will match with anything

Don't forget when you donate to give it to charities that actually do good things! For example, Value Village just resells a lot of their stuff from what I've heard so it's nice to donate to a homeless shelter or similar organizations.

Idk if you talked about this yet as I just started watching your video, but after every season like winter and summer I go through all the I didn’t wear and get rid of them and then when it comes for that season next year I get stuff I like and repeat it leaving me with less stuff and things I like.
