Hey Doug, Today, I went to the local market and bought exactly 15 bell peppers for my goulash. When the cashier asked if I needed anything else, I simply said, "Nothing." That single word shifted everything. His gaze changed immediately, his eyes distant and haunted, his body stiff as stone. His lips barely moved as he muttered, "Double... or nothing." "Double?" I asked, utterly confused. A comically large coin appeared from nowhere and clattered to the ground. Heads. My peppers-my perfect, vibrant bell peppers-had doubled before my very eyes. The cashier, his face now a shade calmer but still unsettlingly solemn, repeated the words: "Double or nothing?" I was feeling bold, reckless even. "Double," I said, brimming with misplaced optimism. The coin flipped again. Tails. My peppers were gone. All of them. Gone. Before he could utter the cursed phrase once more, I began pleading. "No, no, wait! I need them. I need them back." Desperation poured from me like sweat. The coin flipped. Tails. Again. Flip. Tails. Again. Again. Again. Tails every time. Somewhere around the 12th flip, I lost count. My reality started to blur. The peppers no longer mattered-it was about winning. The cashier’s voice had grown darker, heavier, with every "Double or nothing." The market's fluorescent lights flickered, casting shadows that seemed alive. A woman approached the register to buy apples. The cashier turned to her, his voice chillingly polite: "Double or nothing?" She froze. Dropped her apples. Turned and ran. "Keep going!" I screamed, my voice cracked and unhinged. The coin spun and fell. Tails. Again. My heart sank, but I couldn’t stop. I couldn’t lose what I no longer had. We played for days. My bell peppers were long gone, my goulash an impossible dream. The world outside the market seemed to fade away, irrelevant in the shadow of this ritual. I couldn't leave. I couldn't stop. There were no peppers, no goulash, no escape. Then, through dry lips, I whispered the forbidden word: "Nothing." The cashier froze, his pupils narrowing to pinpricks. "Did you just say nothing?" he hissed. His voice was no longer human-it echoed, reverberated, scraped at the edges of my sanity. "Double or nothing?" The coin flipped. It never landed. It spins still, endlessly, infinitely, haunting my vision. The peppers. The goulash. The peppers. The goulash. Nothing. Double or nothing? Double or nothing? Double or nothing? **Double or nothing?**

16:04 Ok, aside from this segment being hillarious, I can legit do an eagle screech for some reason. I do it by sucking air IN while heavily constricting/flexing my throat muscles. So basically I am whistling, but not with just mouth, but my entire throat instead I guess? As a reminder, never whistle at night. Both indigenous cultures of "America" and "Africa" say that it attracts dangerous or "evil" spirits. This is because whistles are one of the loudest sounds a homo sapien can create, persumably louder than screaming (Of which screaming can sometimes attract benevolent or helpful spirits sometimes).
Regarding senate term limits, Doug: Senator terms are 6 years because the founders believed the Senate (A.K.A house of land and lord) would be less susceptible to short-term political divides, which Congress is more suited to meet representative needs. Critics argue that they just wanted a voting block that is harder to dethrone so it would be more difficult to take away slave labor, which was a contentious topic, even back then. The reason you get Senate elections in what feels like "random years" is because to prevent the Senate from being stagnant, senator terms are staggered in 1/3rd election blocks every 2 years, so 2/3rds of the Senate is always functioning. This means your senators could either be on separate blocks or the 6 year gap just feels off compared to 4 and 8

Senate is elected for 6 years because they’re the check to the president who serves for 4, that way the president has less sway over their reelection. House members serve for 2 years because they’re supposed to be the “most updated” to the country’s current stances. 1/3 of Senators are elected every cycle, The HoR is all up for reelection every two years 100 Senators, 435 HoR members: makes up the 538 total electoral votes when you include the 3 votes that Washington DC gets in accordance with 23rd amendment. Hopefully I taught somebody something :)
15:16 both houses of congress were given terms that are multiples of 2 so there election would always take place either at the same time as the presidential election or half way through the current presidents term the senate was 6 so it wasn’t as susceptible to sudden shifts of opinion like the House of Representatives who are elected every 2 and so its election wouldn’t always line up with the presidential election

35:46 Austria-Hungary dissolved after WW1. FYI. We were only Hungary during WWII
Hope yall had enough to eat since then 🫶
@@SplittTwig lmao
3:07 Point Crow flips off like someone controlling a VR hand for the first time
Doug: I'm not a terrorist
Also doug: 29:29
It’s only terrorism if it’s targeted at America! And we all know that “Ludwig” is a God hating, water chugging, freedom oppressing commie
As a citizen of the UK, I feel like ‘Football watching and beer drinking’ applies to like 50% of my fellow countrymen.
As someone who lives in a state where you have to pass the test to graduate high school yes I do have all of these things memorized
What fucking state do you live in?! I can rule out New Jersey but then I'm left with 49 others and I ain't doing process of elimination for this!
@@auden4531New Hampshire funnily enough where Ludwig is from too but the law was put in place more recently I think. There are a few other states with the law now as well I believe but I’m not sure
3:46 the hsr beat drop so good OML
15:31 As a communist, it is. Marx wrote plainly in the Communist Manifesto that “Knowing the term lengths of US senators is reactionary.”
20:37 That is actually kind of true. The process was made obtuse on purpose, in order to limit the size and growth of government, to make sure its hard to get out of control.
There is genuinely no worse fate than being French. Good job, DouglasDouglas
At 13:30 the FRENCH headband says specialized for bald men. Doug is in fact bald.
Can’t believe Doug is French
Fun fact: The eagle screech sound is not actually a sound that a Bald Eagle makes. It's actually from the Red-Tailed Hawk.
the bit where parkzer was imitating a bald eagle made me cry
20:38 is funny, US politics being so right-leaning, its probably one of the easier countries to expect bipartisan political consistency from
This is just a reductive view of it though probably from a European if I had to guess.
Foreign policy outside of Israel has been significantly different the last two administrations.
A stream from July uploaded in December, this is truly a DouglasDouglasDouglas special
This video being uploaded on the day of the Pearl Harbor attack is ironically hilarious
I saw this and was so confused on what day they were celebrating since it wasn’t anywhere near July 4th but I completely understand, editing videos is a pain and it was very well-edited
What happens when you double French? You get Italian.
Senate is elected for 6 years because they’re the check to the president who serves for 4, that way the president has less sway over their reelection.
House members serve for 2 years because they’re supposed to be the “most updated” to the country’s current stances.
1/3 of Senators are elected every cycle,
The HoR is all up for reelection every two years
100 Senators, 435 HoR members: makes up the 538 total electoral votes when you include the 3 votes that Washington DC gets in accordance with 23rd amendment.
This video was clearly a labour of love from the editors. No jokes here, it's a good video with funny graphics.
6:47 walk down the street? This is America baby we don't have streets you can walk down
I like how how pointcrow sounds so genuinely panicked and pissed off that he was sanctioned
It can be legitimately difficult for other countries around the globe to deal with the wild oscillations of the usa. Doug was correct on that lol
Double or nothing. They got lucky the first time, but they flipped tails the second time. Silly George bush.
In Oklahoma, we are forced to take the citizenship test as kids middle school or high school normally
As a polish person we do not want DougDoug here i hope he passes his american citizenship
I wonder if that one stream where Doug killed his entire Twitch and RUclips audience with the sound of an explosion going off over and over at max volume that Doug couldn't hear but once he did, he nearly had a heart attack, will ever be uploaded as a video. I don't even remember what that stream was about, I just remember the blinding white light of a million bombs and the awkward silence for about half an hour O.O
Parkzer screaming in agony 😭?? 17:13
First, we got a nightmare before Christmas. Now, we have America fuck yeah before Christmas.
Sucks even worse that bald eagles don't even make that noise.
I hear Honkai Star Rail music quietly playing in the background as he mentions war gases. Incredibly fitting, time for Nanook to introduce "scientific" gases to ALL planets of interest in entire galaxies full of sentient lifeforms!
I hope Doug enjoys his service in the drafted War effort, the little Warmonger state that he happens to be a part of!(Being incredibly ADHD interestingly disqualifies you from drafting, accordingly to mental disability law) So I'm drinking an obscure, off-brand German-made beer to this occasion! For the Czech Republic! BLUE WHITE RED!
As a non-american, I can proudly proclaim that I know that Dalahart, Texas was formed in 1901 and has been a pretty uneventful small town since then. It has on average 0 murders per year, unlike other Texan towns of its size.
