I've played a handful of these, but personally I don't think you should include Entrada because it is private. Check out Birch Creek in Smithfield for one of the nicest public courses in the state.
What about millsite in ferron Utah and moabs golf course they are amazing also. But i play all over the state and really like price and Roosevelt and vernal
I'm not sure what a goff course is but appreciate the list of some courses I should try. I've played all of the ones near Salt Lake but I'll have to make a journey to St. George.
@@parfessor Well, I mostly just play the local courses around Salt Lake City, or ones that I can drive to, play and be back home the same day. Never really gave them a top 5 rating. I have always loved Bountiful Ridge for the amazing views and it is also an older course so it has a lot of character. I also like Eaglewood up there in North Salt Lake though I don't know if I would put it in the top five. South Mountain is also a favorite as is Wasatch Mountain (mountain course). Valley View is great. Thanksgiving Point of course is probably the best public course in the area. I also really like Old Mill, Bonneville and Mountain Dell. The issue I have with many of the public courses is that they don't keep them up very well and they never have a ranger to regulate speed of play. For example, Mountain Dell would be in my top five for sure for course layout, views, atmosphere and accessibility from my home, but the grounds aren't kept up very well and sometimes the round takes longer than it should because there is no regulation. But it is hard to complain because it is so inexpensive to golf here in Utah. I moved here from the mid-west, and to play a crappy course with no view there costs more than playing South Mountain or Bountiful Ridge so I have no complaints. If I absolutely had to rate them I would say: 5. Valley View 4. Bountiful Ridge 3. South Mountain 2. Wasatch Mountain and 1. Thanksgiving Point.
I’m from Utah. And the top 2 are solidified. Hideout is such a beautiful course. Right by the mountain. Lots of wildlife and fresh air. The vibe there is unmatched.
Courses that could also be up here: Mount. Ogden, Talons Cove, Valley View, Coral Canyon, Logan River, Birch Creek, Bountiful Ridge, Wolf Creek, Eaglewood, Copper Rock, and as a personal favorite Eagle Mountain. I would personally take Green Springs out of the top 10 as well
I stopped watching at #9 when you showed footage of Canyons Golf course when talking about Park City Golf Club because one of them is an overpriced clown course with gimmicky holes and the other is a fun mountain course.
@@801Sandbagga Exactly. The footage is of Canyons Golf Course but he's talking about Park City Golf Club. That's like talking about Amen Corner at Augusta National but showing footage of Augusta Country Club next door.

Shoot. I forgot Soldier Hollow and Homestead. Too many good courses around here. I think Soldier Hollow would have to knock Valley View to #6.

Its a bucket list for sure! And thanks for your comment

Awesome video!
Thanks for the visit
Entrada is private. Definitely need to get Wasatch State Park on the list
The Hideout was designed by Forrest RICHARDSON! I played it a few years back, it's a super fun course.
Mistakes happen. Its a game of misses

Soldier Hollow gold is not at all a links course. What is shown here is mostly the silver course
The team will look into it.
So where did Copper Rock come in?
Played it, maybe its a top ten in the state. Will confirm in update video. Cheers
do you know how to pronounce the word GOLF?
What a terrible narration... and the word is "golf" not "goff"...
Relax and get a booster
