People have complaints about the UNP and its offshoots, and they voted against the old establishment. By aligning with the old establishment, you have made a mistake and tainted your name. It would have been slightly better if you had contested as an independent.That said, everyone makes mistakes and learns lessons. I think it would be better if you focused on your journalism, as you are a talented journalist who can analyse politics in a neutral manner and clearly express your views in Tamil.
