The whole soundtrack was actually uploaded on different channels along time ago and alot of the top comments were like 4-5 years old. But I guess he asked those guys to take down their videos so he could upload it officially.
Easily my favorite song in the whole game. It captures the vast loneliness of wondering a wasteland, and the occasional wacky situation that Brad finds himself in.
its a song wich shows 3 emotions: 1. last hope. (with the calmness, you can slightly tell its more of a pained one, a struggling calmness.just how a last hope scenario would feel, you are the only thing capable of doing whatever goal youve committed to.) 2. chaos (with those random drum beats, and each instrument is very different, one of them being some weird trumpet things, but fits all together.in a sortof strange way.) 3. happiness (brad can finally earn their right to have a good life, they can finally do something right in their mind. they can finally help, they dont want buddy to be used as a tool, only to be a living being, and they have SOME happiness in the fact that theyre doing something good for once. and this is commonly seen as the theme of lisa the painful, so this would make alot of sense.) its essentialy "nothings stopping you in this fucked up reality to do whats right." but as a song.
The drums are very interesting. It "ruins" the tranquility of the song, but I think that's symbolic of how the characters are never able to fully let their guards down or be at peace. Violence and the horrors of their world, aka the loud and out of place drums, will always jolt them back to reality.
If you really wanted to reach you could interpret them as distant gunshots or explosions The violence that permeates Olathe is never farther away than the next town over
@@Filthma this is a game about DAD finding EDGY TEEN, wich is then taken by the vicious military leader HIMBO, where they find many funny and iconic jokes, serious moments, find BAD DAD, all to be a good father.
LISA hits so different when you grow up with a parent who has addiction. Yeah Buddy is a nasty little shit, but, then again, so was I. She was shaped by Brad, and Brad was shaped by Marty. It all works in a cycle, and you need to be the one to end it. Genuinely a life-changing piece of art. I always said that if I ever get a tattoo, it will be either Beady or Brad, bloody and beaten, with flowers growing out of him instead of the arrows.
@@wetoddedd It doesn't, it gives you no right to murder neighborhood pets and emotionaly manipulate people, Lisa was a shitty person in an even shittier situation.

Dr yado is probably the worst of them all tbh. He straight up murdered one of the only adult women in Olathe (his wife) and then tried to murder his own daughter, just for his Olathe domination bullshit
Its been a while since ive played the games (spoilers) Didn't Yado introduce joy to the world thus dooming the human race? That would probably make him the worst person ever lol
Lisa was too real for me. I've never felt so distraught after finishing a game and now I want that feeling back. That feeling of not knowing how terrible things will be in the next area, how unpredictable and how hard it can hit. Losing your party members that you grew so dearly, being faced with an ultimatum at every corner. And listening to such bizarre soundtracks... I don't know guys, it might sound crazy but I identify more with that apocaliptic world than with most settings in actual movies.
I'm gonna say LISA is one of the *most* emotional and memorable games i ever played. I can't stop thinking about it since i completed it in 2016, *but* i have this feeling if something was incomplete, like there is still more potential to discover. That's why chance of something new coming out is really exciting. I really hope there's something more behind the channel update i hope.
Only in Olathe, comfort can feel pervasive... Even when Brad feels the slightest comfort at camp beside the crow, the drumroll of paranoia never deafens in his mind... Thank you Dingaling
I played Lisa the painful for the first time when it releases, back in 2015 or so. I liked it, connected with it, it made me laugh and cry but that was it. For sure one of my favorite games of that year, but that was it. A few years later I met this girl, we liked each other, we started dating, we fell in love with each other, but she was "different". She had this deep depression, she was a really tormented soul. I was her best friend and her confident. Long story short: neither I, nor her friends or family were able to help her at the end and she ended up comitting suicide. After she did I almost did it myself, but I went through it... the sorrow, the guilt, the grief... now it's been 2 years since she passed away, and I replayed Lisa. It really hits different, now I realise what kind of master piece this game is, how it deals with such terrible concepts in such a perfect approach. How it gets PERFECTLY the feeling of a broken soul, and I'm not talking just about Brad, but Buzzo too. When you have to deal and to be with someone as broken as Lisa (or my girlfriend) it's practically impossible to help them. As Buzzo says: "I was supposed to be her light. Instead, I let her pull me into the darkness". Sorry about the long words, and if someone read this don't be worry. I'm doing quite good right now, I just wanted to thank Dingaling for this game that helped me so much along my grieving process. (also this is my favorite theme of the OST ^^)
I know exactly what you mean. I've known so many people who are going through something immeasurable. I still know some of them. I know myself to be one, with the boy I love... our relationship is being tested. And my will to survive and keep going in a world where I may not have him to love me is being tested. At the end of the day, all we have is ourselves, and the people we choose to be connected to. We have less direct say in the first.. but the second, we have direct control over. And only through choosing the people we access and embrace can we control ourselves and our futures.
